Despite the nervous energy bouncing around between them, Adeline made a stern executive decision to let go of her costume and clasp her hands together instead. It was ridiculous enough to get worked up, much less let it show. She followed up with a small smile and a shake of her head, sighing at the end of it. "No, you weren't a jerk, don't worry about it. I figured you were either busy or changed your mind, but I didn't take it personally." As gracious as she was, she was also lying. She'd figured he had come to his senses and got out of it, but seeing as he was following up now... It turns out she was proven wrong. And she was glad to be proven wrong when her ego was at stake.
The next question was pretty much a no-brainer for her, considering how she would be wandering around on her own as an alternative. "Dance? Sure, that would be nice." She replied, dropping her hands to her sides and taking a step closer to him and the dance floor.
Theo managed another lazy shrug of his shoulders, mostly in silent agreement of Gavin's read on the situation. Even if he probably deserved to get punched by someone every once in awhile, he usually DID talk his way out of it. That's not something that Theo himself had managed to do very often. In the end, yes, he did spite his friend for being good at that. In the end, Theo really did one day want to see him get punched. Maybe. Just once.
Instead of imagining that happening, the bee boy turned to stare critically at the two giggling Metas on the floor, catching a few words of their conversation - really? Bill Murray? - and then slowly turned to look back at Gavin. "Yeah... you know what, I'm going to pass on that. Nothing says 'chick magnet' more than pissing yourself laughing over your own imagination."
After crossing that adventure off of his list, he let his eyes wander around the room to judge whether or not there was anyone he wanted to bother. He noticed his sister first, and was she seriously talking to a guy? That was creepy. Shortly after his eyes drifted over Willow, stopped, and came right back so that he was staring intensely at her from across the room. Theo dramatically put a hand on Gavin's shoulder to pretend-brace himself and didn't break his stare. "Holy s**t. Are you serious?" He offered flatly, pausing to stare a little longer at her FLOWER DRESS. "...I think I have to go and uh, talk. To your sister for awhile." Well at least he managed to not make the the obvious pollination comment - out loud, anyway. He retracted his hand and started making a beeline in that direction, regardless of any answer he would have gotten.

Frederique laughs and avoids Cambria's trampling feet aptly. She attempts to step on Cambria's feet. They start going into a cycle of trying to avoid and step on each other's feet "You look adorable tonight~"
Tori ruffles his feathers awkwardly before shaking his sleeve down to reveal bruise marks on his arms "My mom thinks I'm a bad kid...so she hits me a lot. I don't think she likes me very much." He sighs, covering his arms again "I dunno, I guess it's just something I developed over the years..."
Phyl nods, completely serious about this subject "What Tick should we do then? I don't Tick want to hurt Tock him too bad..."
Claire watches everyone dance, shrugging and going back to her art. She doesn't understand why people enjoy christmas. All the snow, the cheer... It just gave her a headache, especially at home.

It was hard for Gavin to keep a straight face as Theo finally noticed Willow in the flower dress and then "braced" himself. An amused smirk crept over his features. "Yeah I think you should do that." was all he could manage before Theo was off on his way. Gavin debated for half a second if he should follow or not but ultimately decided this was not something he could miss. Plus, not going over would leave him standing all alone with the mistletoe. That seemed much less entertaining then watching Theo hit on Willow. That and, it looked like someone needed to point Edmund over in the direction of Yoo who looked to be a bit upset over something.
Maybe he should have dressed up as cupid instead of Jack Frost, he found himself thinking as he drifted over towards the group.
Willow gave a little sigh as she tried to calm her nerves and then gave both Aiden and Edmund a grateful, if still a bit nervous, smile.
"You're right I know Edmund meant it that way, and he's probably right. It's just hard for me not to be nervous about it."
"I think that's pretty normal. It's scary when you don't know how the other person feels about you." Out of the corner of his eye he caught sight of Theo followed closely by Gavin heading in this direction. "Ah... um.... anyway...." he tried to think of a way to quickly change the topic so they weren't talking about Theo as he came over. "So those cookies look really um... delicious."
Nadia meanwhile danced with Silas out on the dance floor. She gave him an appraising look and then smiled. "You have gotten better Silas. If you keep at it you'll get better and better." She danced with him a little longer before starting to give him a few pointers on how he could improve. She did scan the room a bit between dance tips and gave a thoughtful noise at the Willow Theo situation. "Looks like my sister has finally been able to attract her little honey bee." She commented.
Somehow it made WAY more sense to Kei that Shiny had been the one to think up the joke then Ask all by himself. "Darling if you didn't know that was horrible I think we'd have a serious problem." Kei smiled and slid his arms around Ask's waist, leaning in closer to him. "Dance with me?"

Thinking for a while Yoo got an idea he thought would work. "I have an idea. We can just capture him and then try talking to him into stopping his bad ways. I can try to get Vic to help out too. Three metas are better than two especially if two of them are adults. We could even ask a few of the other metas for him too. I'm sure they would help if we told them what you told me. They won't want him to keep doing bad things to our kind."

Valeria finally made her way down to the ball after hours of dealing with failed outfits and her disobedient hair. If this party had been more casual, Valeria would've been ready to party well before the party had started. But, this was a formal gathering, and it had taken her weeks to find the right fabric for her dress. Now that she was actually in the room, among all of the other partygoers, she felt awkward. She didn't know anyone there. Would she really have any fun? While she pondered, she subconsciously twirled her plastic knife accessory around in her hand, unknowingly setting the perfect stage for one of the dancers to get a bonk on the head."PAAARRTAAAAY!" Exclaimed Marisol as she roller bladed onto the dance floor. She didn't care if she knocked anyone over or spilled a few glasses of soda, she was there for the fun, the thrill of the a party! Her father had given her a darling little outfit to wear to the ball, a sugar coated candy-corn-cane witchling! She was already pin pointing who looked less savory than she did as she skated loops around the room, pointing and laughing at those she found the funniest.Back over by the entrance cowered a sailor suit clad Alex. He inched his way slowly along the walls like a snail, daunted by the mass of people at the party. He clutched his favorite toy boat to his chest before leaping towards the refreshment tables. Carefully he crouched beside it and peered his dual toned eyes out onto the dance floor. He studied the crowd pensively and with apprehension. Clearly, he was looking for someone.

Ask chuckled as Kei blamed his mom. Maybe he hadn't misheard her at all. Sneaky woman. "She did say something about it looking better in shreds on the floor but I really thought I misheard her." He left out the little detail of it being Kei's floor. "And I'd love to dance, but only with you." He answered with a delighted grin and tried to put flashbacks from the last ball he'd attended out of his mind.
Cambria couldn't stop the continuous stream of giggles as Flippy tried to get her feet. Man she was good. At this rate Cambria was going to lose. Which, while unacceptable, made her wonder what being Fred's slave for a day might be like. "So're you." She returned the compliment and punctuated it by a distinct landing on Fred's left foot.
Sha grinned widely. "Of course I'm having fun. I rarely have anything else." Trae rolled his eyes. "We were heading over to the snack table. Want to come?"
"I suppose, I'm not thrilled about my costume. Sha picked it out. I should have known he'd try and get me in the girliest thing possible." Trae said with a pout.
"Hey, I really wanted to dress you as Zelda. Be glad you got the fairy. Besides you nixed the tutu anyway." Sha said, flicking his friend's shoulder. "To the snack table!"

"It's going to be great! Of course, it will only be for a few weeks. And than I'll find myself right back here, doing nothing." Isolde sighed a little. Maybe she should find a job or something, just to fill up her time. "Or maybe I'll see if I can spend some time abroad. I don't know. I just need something to do, I think."
"Oh, wow. Awesome." He stopped talking before he sounded more like an idiot than ever. Things were going well. Hank's confidence grew two sizes, now that Adeline had said yes (Yes!)
Hank stepped back once or twice to look at her and listen to the song. It wasn't one of those boppy-around songs, but it wasn't a slow hold someone close song either. He wasn't entirely sure how to dance with a girl like this, not to this music anyway, but he figured he would maybe start by holding her hand, and than going from there?
He reached out a little bit. Now he had to at least try to be suave, since his dreams were actually coming true. "Could I have your hand, my lady? You shouldn't have to walk onto the dance floor by yourself."

Eira adjusted her wig and the hair accessories carefully arranged in the pale pink hair. Her makeup added flush to her pure white skin, plus a kick of shimmer. Her costume was perfect of course, skirt short enough to piss of teachers, well the ones who weren't perverts. She grinned and looked around as she entered the ball, fashionably late. Well, she could hope not too late. Wouldn't want to miss all the fun!
Sucking on a new lip piercing, white of course. Trying to locate one of the two meta's she had met so far in the crowd as she moved her way around.

Well, this was certainly going better than expected. Echo had no idea why people usually freaked out when he demanded to take them shopping... "Oh no, don't be silly. I'm paying for everything, trust me, you wouldn't be able to afford anything." He laughed, shaking his head.
Tobi blinked a few times, then looked to Vic, and then back to Tori. "She hits you? I didn't think that was okay... That's not okay right?" He looked back to Vic, frowning deeply.
Aiden smiled a little, and nodded. "Its okay Willow, I'd be nervous too." She giggled a bit, then looked at the snack table when Edmund mentioned the cookies. "Yes, they do... should we get some? Seems like everyone is raiding the snack table, they might not last much longer."
Silas smiled, quite happy that he had indeed improved. "I'm glad... I practissed a lot. Mebbe somday I can get as good as you?" He nodded a bit, then looked over to where Nadia was looking. "Oh... hehe, bees an' flowers belong together."
"Sure! I'm a bit hungry, too." She nodded, grinning widely. "Hehe, you look good though, Trae! I bet you'd be a good Zelda, too, though." She followed after Sha, heading for the brownies, first. Apparently she'd inherited her father's love of them.
River nodded a little, "I get that... I don't really have much to do these days either. Mostly just... sit around." He shrugged a little. "Studying abroad sounds cool though, it'd definitely keep you busy." He nodded a bit. "I dunno if its an option for me, my dad needs me too much to go off on my own."

"I dunno, you've grown a lot, too. Think you might almost be gettin' too heavy for me to carry." Sean says as he stands up. "Anyways, this place isn't TOO bad. I mean, at least its better than it could've been. From my experience, though, school things like this don't tend to be good. I mean, look at all these clowns." He gestures towards everyone in the room. There were quiet a few people, which is good. Means a lot of stories.
"In fact, this could be a great story!" He says, nodding as he takes out his small notebook and a pen. "Don't you think so?"

Vic went from just a normal look on his face to and angry look on his face. The thought of what the boy was going through in his house was something he did not approve of one bit. "That is somethin' that is never ok, ever." Vic actually spoke up and it was neither a whisper or a regular tone. Anger could clearly be heard in his voice as well and the urge to storm to the child's home and go on a rampage grew but he knew Moira would highly disapprove of it. Covering his face with one of his hands the incubus tried to calm himself but thinking about how bad Tori had it bolted him.
Pleased with the fact that Phyl was ok with that plan as well as asking Vic to help, Yoo was about to turn to his brother when he heard the yelp. Quickly he turned back with a worried look on his face. "A-are you ok?" He asked as he tied to checked her over.

Phyl nods hastily, grunting as she pulled her phasing foot out of the ground "I just phased Tock through a bit...I'm Tock not very good with it.Go through walls when I don't want to, slam Tick into them when I'm trying to take a shortcut." She loses her balance upon her foot pulling free, falling on her back with an "Oof". She pauses before giggling and laughing, flailing around slightly.
Tori tenses slightly as Vic's bird turns white with anger. Oh dear, that wasn't good. He tries influencing the bird into the calm hue of periwinkle "M-Mister, It's really okay! I don't mind...I'm sorry I upset you."
Frederique squeaks as Cambria stomps on her foot, causing her to giggle and pick the girl up "Oh dear, you caught me!" She spins around, laughing softly.
Oh boy, it's that Sean boy... he had someone with him. Claire relaxes, going back to her sketching and ignoring him for the most part.
SHe nods happily, flapping her wings "It should be really fun! I see some people I kinda know and stuff!" She looks around at the flower arrangements, practically beaming "Do you think people will let me take their pictures?"

It was pretty much just dumb bee instincts that told Theo it was the right time to go and buzz around that cute girl in the flower dress, and it told him that despite the fact she was already in a group and having a conversation. When did that ever stop Theo anyway? Never, is when. It's not like what they were talking about was really important anyway, the last thing he caught as he strolled up was something about cookies. Without waiting to see if anyone else had a comment to return about the great looking cookies, he raised his hand in greeting to the 'group' but he stared right at Willow when he did it. "Hey." He started, but was still obviously directed only in one direction. "So anyway, yeah, Willow did you know you look great? Seems kind of like we make a matching set tonight." No, he probably wasn't going to make much more effort to acknowledge anyone else standing there. Group discussion over.
The nervous tension seemed to disperse a bit immediately after she accepted Hank's offer, which was sort of a relief and she found herself smiling bemusedly at him. She had made people nervous before, but not really the way she was doing it now. It was sort of nice, now that she took the time to consider it. Adeline let her eyes trail back to the dance floor where she saw Nadia right away, although she suppressed the urge to wave or raise her eyebrows or anything considering her friend wasn’t looking in her direction. It was a saving grace that Hank asked for her hand at that moment, because if he hadn’t, Adeline probably would’ve looked at where Theo was and have killed the mood.
Thankfully, that didn’t happen. She felt her face grow a little hotter at the ‘my lady’ portion of the question (did guys still say that kind of thing?), but seemed otherwise pleased to meet him halfway and gently slide her fingers into his. "Yes you may, since you asked so nicely." Her tone had a little laugh in it, and she looked up at him as she silently gauged the tone of the music for herself. "Do you... dance much?" She added slowly, only thinking to ask as they made it to the floor. Of course, she wasn't going to complain if he said no - she just wanted to know before she got ahead of herself.
