S’kor/ Bronze Scarath (Gale Stalkers Wingsecond) HP: 53 Agility: -4
He was grateful for the end of the second wave. S’kor stretched his fingers a bit then had Scarath call for more sacks. We’ll survive this. It was hard to ignore the injuries of the other wings. Impossible to block out the cries of pain as dragon or rider were injured. A bugle from the bronze beneath him brought his attention back.
Next wave, Scarath said shortly. Despite the burning in his back, he beat his wings to rise up. Meeting the falling Thread he opened his jaws and flamed.

Crunching down on the stone Brumath rumbled his assent and drove himself toward the Thread with powerful beats of his wings. For His, he would do this. He had to do this. He could not stand to fail. A sting of pain on his left wing-tip warned the brown slightly be belatedly of a stray little strand of Thread, but it was a small hurt that only warranted a hiss of pain as he jumped into the black void of nothingness to shake it off.

S’kor/ Bronze Scarath (Gale Stalkers Wingsecond) HP: 53 - 12 = 41 Agility: -4 Damage: 8 + 4 = 12
The wound must of been affecting him worse than he'd realized. Flame well he did, but his aim was horrible. The flames barely touched the edge of the thread, leaving most of it unburned. Scarath roared as it wrapped around the leading edge of his left wing. Out and back. He felt His' concern and support. A quick test proved he could still fly.

[Kleos and Moriath Agility: +1 HP: 49/77 +5 to burn]
Still recovering from her previous huge burst of flame, and from injury, Moriath's next assault on the Thread was less successful; her aim was good, but the flame she produced disappointingly small.

Set'al and Pipith Agility +2 HP: 57/65 Thread Burned: 1 Thread Remaining: 67
Pretty sure I don't have the stomach for firestone, Pip, Set'al retorted. Giving each other a hard time had turned into something of a coping mechanism for getting through Threadfall, by taking both their minds off of pain or fear...and to some extent, tuning out the sounds of other dragons' pain. That was always the wost part, by far.
You never know until you try. Maybe next time!

Slight embarrassment at such a small flame was the least of Moriath's worries; having burned less than expected she found herself rushing headlong at a half charred tangle of Thread. Before she could jump between it struck the side of her face, biting into her cheek, neck and the underside of her jaw. Luckily for her the delay in teleporting was only momentary; had she been slower she might never have returned at all, let alone have been fortunate to come back out with only shallow wounds to show for the incident.

Set'al and Pipith Agility +2 HP: 53/65
After Pipith produced little more than a hiccup of flame to singe the edge of some Thread, he stared balefully at the curls of smoke for a moment - something he should not have taken the time to do.
Pipith, move! The reminder from Set'al came half a second too late, and was quickly followed by a yell as a good-sized chunk of Thread hit him in the back as he pressed himself against Pipith's neck. The bronze darted between and back.
I'm sorry, Mine! How bad is it?
Could be worse. It had eaten through his leathers in patches, and some of the skin and flesh beneath, but not deeply. Of course, it still sharding hurt. We're fine for now.

Wykla/ Blue Kameth (Storm Riders Wingrider) HP: 38 Agility: +1
She was glad to spot Adi and Mazamath from the corner of her eye. Wykla gave a brief wave to the fellow blue pair. There Kameth. The teen pointed her dragon toward a clump. It was getting past the wing, and she couldn’t allow that.
Kameth hissed and beat his wings furiously then half folded them. The increased speed and partial dive brought him within flaming reach. A great burst of flames wrapped around the errant piece of Thread.

Thread Remaining: 58 - 7 = 51
'Calanoth and his are wounded and returning to Trine' Plexith told his rider and D'lin cursed inwardly, the threadfall was almost done he was sure of it..but the end was always the most dangerous time, when wounded tired dragons made mistakes...to be down a wingleader was a bad thing. 'I'm sure his second is good' D'lin finally responded as Plexith flamed and skipped briefly between to avoid being scored.

[F'itz & Brumath Agility: +2 HP: 45/60]
Not long now! Heart racing Brumath seared away a great expanse of Thread and then wheeled away to evade more strands while he gathered another breath.
He hated to admit it but there was no fighting it. The steeling of will was only so much use against an exhausted body. He felt giddy.
For just a moment, steady placid Brumath's eyes flashed yellow. He was used to being pessimistic but not to fearing the dark fates he imagined. His was wearing out. He did not feel well. he decided abruptly, his tones making no room for argument. he called to his young wingleader. One last pass to secure a space in the air, and then between to safety.

S’kor/ Bronze Scarath (Gale Stalkers Wingsecond) HP: 41 Agility: -4
He checked the air around him. It did seem to be tapering off. S’kor didn’t want to risk getting hit by any more of the stuff from stupidity. He winced slightly.
Scarath returned to his place in the wing. Keeping wing strokes to a minimum, he flamed after some of the larger patches. Letting the more agile blues and greens do what they did best.

S’kor/ Bronze Scarath (Gale Stalkers Wingsecond) HP: 41 - 12 = 29 Agility: -4 Damage: 8 + 4 = 12
Thread might be tapering off, and he might have watched for any coming toward them, but that didn't mean he'd spotted it. An inarticulate cry tore from his lips as Thread landed on his back. Blessed freezing cold killed the hungry strands. S'kor grimaced as the score on his back matched the one already on his dragon. They were taking some hard hits this Fall.

Her return however was not as well positioned as it might have been; the end of her tail brushed against Thread before she or Kleos had even been able to take a breath. Rather than take a deeper wound Moriath vanished again, stealing the air from both of their lungs.
As they appeared again, this time in a safer spot, Kleos gasped in a breath and then spent a few moments lent forward over Moriath's neck coughing violently. Shards she hoped this was over soon, they were getting slow!

People were starting to take a beating now - or in some cases a falls worth of small wounds were creeping up on them. The healers would have their hands full after this and he and Plexith would be amid those seeking help. The blissful thought of numbweed however was enough to keep them going for this last push, even as Plexith rolled to try and avoid a lingering strand of thread.
