Even if you pass away,

Ashlyn entered the Library through the double doors from the hallway. The large arching doors creaked shut behind her as she made her way across the marble floor. Though it was deathly quiet the click of her heels against the marble floor echoed through the massive room causing a few students to look up from their studies. A low wolf whistle could be heard from one of the students as Ashlyn passed. Looking over to the group she smiled at the trio giving them a little wave as she passed. "Hello to you too, boys," she said as she made her way to the front desk. The usual afternoon staff was stationed at the front checking in books from the return bin as she slid into the vat of many others. She waved at the clerks as she reached down and clicked the lock that held a section of the desk level with the others. As she did so the small portion of the desk in front of her flipped up making a small passage between the two sides of the desks. Walking through the Librarian reached behind her and pressed the desk surface back down until it clicked again creating a seamless surface once more.
Taking a seat at her office near the right side of the service desk she sat gently in her plump wheeled seat. Spinning until her desk lay before her she set down her things for the day which included her purse and a few books. As she sat down a small tan tab could be seen in between the two books. Grabbing a hold of the tab she pulled out a small file that she 'acquired' from the nurses station before her shift. Opening the file she flipped open to a female picture pinned with a clip to the top of the file. The girl had crimson like hair that was held up in two pony tails. The medical file classified her as a weapon class: scythe, with the name reading Renia Cavuti.
Hmm what do we have here? A weapon from the DWMA, and a unique one at that. In fact I think I have seen her a few times around here, Ashlyn thought to herself as she continued to read down the list of her recent health history. It was noted down at the bottom her place of residence and class schedule in case of emergency. "Well now this is just too easy," the witch said in a whisper to herself. She closed her eyes, thinking back the three little group of men she met earlier. She wondered if they found the girl, if she was safe, maybe catching up with her little cousin the warlock. An evil grin crept slowly across her face, of events yet to come.

 Only a life lived Kazuo walked into the libary, casually. He walked up to a random book and grabbed it. There was nothing special about the book, but the boy was bored as hell. Afterwards, he picked an empty table to sit down at and started reading. He sat there staring at the first page and thought, 'What a shitty book.'' Though, he thought the book was terribly, Kazuo didn't bother to get up and get a new one, so the boy just sat down stuck on the first page, failing to comprehend the book so far. After a while, Kazuo grabbed his book and started flipping through it. The boy mumbled, "What? No pictures?" He sighed and closed the book and sat back and started relaxing. "I think I deserve a nap," Kazuo yawned. for others is worth living

I see your fortune... Aya walked in to the library holding a picture of the boy she was supposed to be partnered with and as she looked around she saw him, she couldn't help but giggle as she watched him for a breif moment. She then walked up to him with a small grin. "So you're supposed to be my partner huh." She said as she looked at the boy. 'Tis grim now that you are facing me.

Only a life lived... Kazuo yawned and rubbed his eyes, even though he didn't even go to sleep. His vision cleared up to see a girl with short hair proclaiming she is his partner. 'Partner? Psh. This one will run away before we try an actual mission, the boy thought. He decided to ignore her, thinking that she will go away. Kazuo yawned and closed his eyes, for others is worth living

I see your fortune... Aya grinned as she watched the boy ignore her, then while he closed his eyes she pulled out a tarot card and snickered. 'So that's how he wants play huh?' She though as she then looked at the card one last time. "Oh what's this, I've drawn the lover card maybe that means we are destined to kiss and I am to fall for such a horrible face such as yours." She said as she sat next to him and wrapped her arm around him. 'Tis grim now that you are facing me.

Only a life lived... Startled, he quickly woke up from his "nap" and pushed her arm off of his shoulder. "Don't touch me." he exclaimed. The boy opened his mouth to say something to insult her back but the librarian shushed him. Kazo, irritated, walked away to sit at a different empty table. for others is worth living

I see your fortune... Aya couldn't help but laugh at his reaction, she then walked over to the new table he was sitting at and rested her head on his. "Oh come on don't be like that, I was assigned to be your partner." She said before kicking the leg of his chair and catching it so he was looking right at her. "And I'm persistant unlike anyone else here." She said with a grin. 'Tis grim now that you are facing me.

Only a life lived... Kazuo stuck his tongue out at his "partner" and got out of the chair. 'Annoying girl,' he thought. Afterwards he walked over to a bookshelf and sighed. "Are there any good books in this library? The boy mumbled. for others is worth living

Even if you pass away,
even if you die today
Looking up from her 'work' Ashlyn saw two new children enter the library. One of them seemed to be a very melancholy young man while the other was a very charming little girl. She had a wit about her that reminded Ashlyn of herself when she was a child. Eavesdropping slightly she listened to the two of them as they talked to one another. It seemed that this was their first meeting. A Meister and their weapon uniting for the first time. It was almost like a novel, one that Ashlyn could write a hundred times considering how many students she had seen come through these halls in the DWMA and DMA.
She turned her attention back to her work, trying to make the time go faster. It wasn't that the job was boring, which it sort of was, but she rarely got to see any excitement in the Library. At least when Medusa was staffed here at the academy she was the school nurse, someone that was more integrated into the system. With a sigh she closed the book she was working in and tossed it in the pile at the end of her desk. Reaching over to the opposite side she grabbed yet another similar looking book and began working with that one.
As she did this the small dog that had accompanied her into the library began to roam. It slipped under the small opening that was the desk divider and trotted out towards the tables where the students sat. It wasn't uncommon for students in the library to see the small white terrier that accompanied Ashlyn wherever she went. The small dog made it's way over to the duo that was talking at one of the tables. Sitting next to the girls feet the mutt lifted his front leg and pawed at the girls boot, trying to get her attention.

Aya simply sighed and thought for a minute, her thought process was interupted when she felt something tug at her boot, she looked down to see a small dog and smiled as she knelt down and began to pet the dog. "Well hello there, I wonder who your partners with. Surely they must not be as tiresome as the boy I was assigned to." She said in a cheerful tone. 'Tis grim now that you are facing me.

Only a life lived... Kazuo glared at the girl after the crude remark. He grabbed a random book and sat, yet, at another empty table. The boy opened up and it opened up to a random page. Turns out it was a book about phobias. One phobia caught his eye was... "Agoraphobia..." Kazuo whispered. He had put on a serious face and continued reading on. It wasn't that interesting. All it had written was its symptoms. The boy sighed, closed the book, and pushed it away. ...for others is worth living

The familiar yap caught Ashlyn's ear as she slowly closed the book with a sigh. It seemed that dog of hers had slipped under the desk again. As the dog yapped again at Aya one of the other librarians turned to Ashlyn. "I realize Lord Death allows you to keep that mutt at work but please keep it quiet!" the man said, obviously frustrated that he was interrupted. Ashlyn looked over at the man, a playful smile on her face. "Oh come now, you weren't doing that much work anyways," she said to her coworker as she got up and rounded the desk.
She walked over to the duo, the hard clack of her heels tapping on the wood floor as she walked. "Come here Ishin," she said to the terrier as she stopped a few feet from the pair. The tony dog turned to her master and trotted back over to Ashlyn, sitting back on his hind legs next to her. "Sorry if he caused you any trouble. Sometimes I can't keep him occupied during these long shifts," she said politely to the two of them.

I see your fortune... Aya continued to pet the small dog until it walked over to it's owner. "Oh no it's alright he didn't cause any troubles all, I enjoyed his company, it's much better then the boy who's supposed to be my partner." She said as she indicated to the boy she was recently talking to. 'Tis grim now that you are facing me.

"Oh, so you two are partners?" Ashlyn said surprised. She already knew that these two were partners, but she didn't want them to know that she was eavesdropping earlier. She looked over at the boy who seemed very unimpressed at pretty much everything at this point. "Oh is that right?" Ashlyn said to Aya as she walked over to Kazuo, leaning down and setting her hands on the table, across from the boy. "So why are you so grumpy?" Ashlyn asked him.
