Rusty shook his head and took the bottle. "No. At this point, I'd heat up the water after a few minutes." He drank the whole bottle, quietly catching his breath after. Despite the fact that he was extremely hot, he wasn't sweating. He rubbed his face. "Maybe if I had a giant freezer or something, but I have no idea how to get to one.." He sighed quietly. He grabbed another water bottle and emptied it. As he set it back down, he looked at her. "Thank you, by the way." He paused. She's helped so far.. Maybe it would help to tell someone about what happened.. He pulled himself away from his thoughts, seriously considering opening up. Part of him wondered if it was the heat and the spasms getting to his head.

Kira nodded at what Rusty said about the bath. That made sense. She wasn't sure why she hadn't thought about that on her own. When Rusty talked about a giant freezer, her mind instantly pulled up an image of her 'bed.' She could offer the industrial sized freezer to him for a while, but then she'd have to deep clean it because it would smell like dog. Could he even survive resting in a freezer? Unlike her, he had a life to lose. "Don't mention it." She said seriously when he thanked her. "And I might know where you can chill in a freezer...if you're interested." She said with a shrug.

Rusty gave her a curious look. "Really?" He wondered how she could get him to one. The thought crossed his mind that she was a vampire. Usually her kind slept in cold, dark conditions. Or at least, that's all he'd heard. "I might. It would beat sitting here heating up the house." He chuckled. He looked at her again. "I'm surprised you've lasted this long with me. If you were human, you'd have been gone a good half hour ago." He offered a smile.

Kira nodded when Rusty asked if she could really get him to a freezer. That would have been a weird joke if she couldn't. "If you can walk, I can. If not it might be difficult. In all honesty it wouldn't be that difficult for me to carry you over there, but if a human saw little old me carrying you I think we'd have some problems." She said, frowning at the thought. What if someone saw them walking too? They already know she's in his house, how weird would it look for them to walk right out and go to her place? Maybe not too weird. They could say they were talking about how he wanted to decorate. Some of the humans went to Kira for help with that. When he said he was surprised she hadn't left due to the heat, Kira gave him a soft smile. She was glad her discomfort hadn't been showing. She wouldn't know how to explain why she stayed if she looked like she was burning up. "I guess I just have a higher tolerance than the humans." She said with a shrug.

Rusty laughed and nodded. "I can walk. That part is over with. All that's left is balancing out my body temperature and then gorging on protein." He flashed a smile, his slightly pointed canines just barely noticable. The wolf stood and stretched his arms over his head, the joints in his shoulders and upper back cracking. He let out a breath of relief and looked at her. "If you're willing to share, I'm all for it."

Kira was glad Rusty said he was ok to walk now. It would have been difficult to explain any other way to onlookers. She stood when he did and headed to his back door. "I'd prefer to be discrete since we're moving from your house to mine because I'm sure others wouldn't assume it was for something as simple as an industrial sized freezer." She told him walking out of the house, through his backyard then toward her home.

Rusty followed Kira out the back of his house, locking the door behind himself. He made sure to grab and shirt before leaving and put it on as he walked through the backyard. He shoved his hands in his pockets and caught up to her. "So... where's this freezer of yours?" He shook his head, his ears full of the buzzing from the insects around them.

Kira looked up at Rusty when he asked where her freezer was. She really hoped no one was around to hear that. 'we were going to see my freezer' sounded like the worst cover story ever, even though it was 100% true. She wanted to ignore the question, especially since the answer was the master bedroom, but she didn't see anyone around so she figured it was ok. "Where a human woman's bed would be." She said with a shrug, opening the gate to her fence right as her neighbor Mrs. Tully walked out of her backyard. "Hello Kira!" She greeted, "Have you..oh I see you have company. We can talk later." The woman grinned. Kira was ready to rip the woman's throat out, but she knew the old woman couldn't help it. Mrs. Tully turned and walked back toward her gate, glancing over her shoulder a couple of times. Kira groaned and walked into her own yard, unlocking the back door so Rusty could enter.

Rusty just sat quietly as the older woman walked away. When she disappeared, he started chuckling. "At least I have a shirt on." He followed Kira through the backyard to her house. He walked in and paused. "So.. you sleep in it?" He knew it might come off as a naive question, but he was curious.

Kira glared at Rusty when he chuckled. She didn't see any part of that situation as humorous and the fact that he did made her want to turn her frustration with the old woman on him. She walked inside behind him, closing and relocking the back door before heading for the stairs. "I sleep in it most nights...when I actually sleep. It's also for days when I've been out in the sun too long or if it was too hot out. Makes me feel better." Kira shrugged and lead him to the master bedroom, which aside from a dress, vanity, and freezer was completely empty. "Do you need anything else?" She asked, unsure of if she wanted to stay while he cooled off.

Rusty looked over the freezer. She wasn't kidding when she said industrial. When she asked if he needed anything, he shook his head. "As long as I can get out when I need to, I should be alright. Of course.." He paused for a second and looked at her, flashing a devilish smile. "You could jump in with me." Almost as quickly as he said it, his sense kicked in and he shook his head. "Sorry. Unfortunately that happens when my body temp gets this high. I'll be fine." He pulled off his shirt and stepped into it, pulling the door shut.
The wolf rubbed his face. Kira was attractive. He couldn't deny it. But there was a line there that, if not for his momentary clarity, might have been crossed. Rusty's brain was fuzzy, and he blamed it on that. Normally he would lock himself in his home and sit in front of a window unit air conditioner, while the central air cooled the rest of the house. But he hadn't been able to get one yet for the house he had now. But luck brought him Kira's freezer. The icy air barely fazed him. It would at some point, he just had to stay in it long enough.
After about twenty minutes or so, Rusty started to feel the bite of the air on his arms and legs. He let out a sigh of relief. It wasn't taking nearly as long as he thought. He leaned against the wall of the freezer, relishing the cold metal on his skin.
