And s**t, they've put out on pre-order plastic USMC, now I'll be having a really hard time ignoring the Pacific. sweatdrop
You still having trouble painting camo? If so, I'd say you're pretty safe from the USMC. wink

eek How so? surprised
It's all personal bias really, but at first it was a game all about tanks, tanks and more tanks, then they changed the rules to more drastically favour infantry over tanks. They're also not the cheapest and their starter set plastics are quite terrible. But as I said, this is all personal bias.

I see. surprised
Maybe they we´re still ironing out the ginks with the system?

I'd make a remark about how a game that has been around for quite some time should have it balanced up by now, but if we look at GW.. sweatdrop

Germany was one of the first to apply camo on a large scale, starting early in the war with the Waffen SS, who wore this stuff:

Later onwards a lot of the German armed forces were issued with this pattern:

The American Marine Corps wore this stuff:

And the British paratroops wore this stuff:

There is also the art of hiding tanks, as shown with this Finnish tank here:

And to some extend, Privateer Press. sweatdrop

Okay, show what I know. ^^"
Movies and some games I played that we´re on WW2
I rarely seen an camo-designed univorm on soldiers,
they´re mostly just vanilla dark-green for the USA and
Grey for germans. :/
Closest camo I know of is those Finnish ski-troopers
white-jackets.

S'cool, until very recently the movie and games industry just relied on the classic image of the early war German uniform: Grey. Something that Warlord also got wrong when one of their painters painted up their late war Germans:

Not to mention those beards! talk2hand

A lot of the games also seem to go the easy route and just every soldier you come across a grey uniform and maybe, just maybe, a bit of diversity in webbing.

Ooh, out of curiosity: How do you guys feel about your part in the second world war? First fighting against the Russians on your own, then joining the Germans in fighting the Russians and finally joining the Russians in fighting the Germans!

I see. 3nodding

Not much really. :/
Naturally we we´re shocked to know about the warcrimes after the war ended,
but so was pretty much everyone in the world. :/
We mostly focused on the fight againts Russians from attacking our borders while giving a supportline for the occupying Germans in russia.
A dark stain in our history to be sure, which is over-shadowed by Russian´s Tzar´s before our independence in 1916. sweatdrop
Germans we´re mostly an additional ally/supply-depo for defending our homeland from Russians, which is referred as Winter War (Talvi-sota)
rather then World War 2. <.<"
A war within war you might say.

Oh. There have been some replies. Awesome.

@ DarkElf - Yeah there are unit caps and a Platoon FoC but you buy a new HQ and 2 infantry units and it opens you up a whole new Platoon FoC which you can have as many as your games points allows you.

USMC look awesome.

Doing a US commission at the minute. A box of 25 figures be he specifically wants the Saving Private Ryan squad building out of them. I'll get some pictures up when I'm done - Or see the W&P Facebook page, linked below. smile

Belated brainfart reply here, there is another way to get more tanks into your army: You field an armoured platoon, which allows you to field between 3 and 4 armoured vehicles backed by infantry if you so desire. It isn't super official and you might want to give your opponent a heads up about it first, so he stands a better chance against your tanks.

It can be found here: http://www.warlordgames.com/downloads/pdf/BA-armoured-platoons.pdf

Also, Marines are out soon, make Chesty proud you maggots.

Who do you think you are kidding Mr. Hitler?
If you think we're on the run,
We are the boys who will stop your little game.
We are the boys who will make you think again.
'Cus who do you think you are kidding Mr. Hitler?
If you think old England's done?

Mr. Brown goes off to town
On the 8:21.
But he comes home each evening
And he's ready with his gun.

So watch out Mr. Hitler
You have met your match in us.
If you think you can push us
We're afraid you've missed the bus.

so who do you think you are kidding Mr. Hitler?
If you think old England's done,

Went with the United States myself, which is about the only formation I can field without having to proxy. Plus, I actually like the army a lot, beats being a bloody Jerry again.
