Thunk.
And then a loud creak as the door to the half-obscured Haunted House swung open once again, a straight trail of sickly yellow light almost perfectly rectangular.
Thunk.
On the ground, through the mist that scattered with each heavy footstep, were large footprints, a large creature perhaps, clawed most likely, their prints sinking deep into the lackluster grass.
Thunk.
There was no form to accompany the footprints, though several victims would feel the sensation of being grabbed and then dragged helplessly straight into the yellow light as the door snapped closed behind them. OOC All players tagged please go HERE

There. Light.
Mmur coughed a phlegmy cough into his fist and moved forward, picking up speed when he saw the footprints. He had no way of knowing whether or not they had been made by a creature of Insanity, but that mattered little to the horseman. Something large had created them. Something he could fight.
He felt a slight tug forward, but he needed no encouragement. Mmur entered the house willingly, a trace of his usual mirth brightening his features as he was engulfed by the light.

How had he lost him?
It was failure after failure after failure, and Thackery felt like he'd completely laughed in the face of destiny and duty all at once. He'd never be able to guard anything important, not at this rate, and if he never found Ash...Jack, he'd really messed up this time.
Frowning, he braced himself against the nearest wall, chips of peeling paint flaking away as he stretched and craned to try and get a better idea of where he was. Maybe he was just in the nearest room in there. They might come across each other any time now.
He hoped.
But this place was a maze at best, with rooms and hallways and places that made no sense, and trying to track down someone else who was lost seemed like a really good way to get even more lost by himself. If he waited here, Ash might - potentially, maybe - find him. After all of the times he'd assured him that home was with him, maybe he might change his mind, somewhere out there in the fog, and come to find him. So staying in one place wouldn't be the worst thing...
A low growl rumbled from his throat, laced with frustration. He had no clue what he was doing, and now really wasn't the best time to come to terms with that.

That was totally much better, Tori thought when she saw the light since it was better to see thought the fog. Hearing the sound of footsteps as she really didn't want this insanity creature to be any of the phoenixs, Tori had fought enough of them for awhile.
Aklin nudged his hunter forward closer to the open door as he wanted a fight. Seeing the large footprint, Tori looked around to see if she could spot the creature and Aklin just got more excited.
Tori did panic a little when she felt her leg being grabbed and then began to be dragged as she hobble to keep up with the pulling thought the door since she didn't want to totally be fully dragged in as Tori didn't want that one bit.

"Danny! Amphi! Bea!" Gene was calling out names as she walked along, not quite knowing which was was left or right anymore. She just kept cupping her hands and walking through the grassy field, calling out the names of her three good friends.
"Roch!"
She was getting desperate, okay.

Mitsu had ran as fast as her legs would take her only stopping when she could go no further which ended up being when there was a wall in her path and she couldn't stop in time to avoid it. She slammed into it with force tossing her back and toward the ground. Hitting the floor with a dull thunk and a whimper Mitsu curled in on herself as she transformed back into her student form, her arms covering her head as she made herself into as small of a ball as she could manage.
Gone, they were all gone. She couldn't find them they had just vanished. At one point the people she had been with were there, fighting, helping everyone survive and the next those...creatures were there in their places. Surely they got away, they..they had to be somewhere right?
She held her head tightly as a powerful sense of dread and loss hit her. All alone. She was alone now. Like before. Like in the lab. The thought left her unable to function outside of shaking, hysteria bubbling up inside her. It was only a voice in the distance that let Mitsu know she wasn't completely by herself...but was it a friend or foe?

It took him awhile, especially with his current injuries. That last fight had left his body battered, but at least it seemed that he was cured. Shun searched through the fog to no avail, not even running to another living soul. Or an insanity creature. There was that at least.
After some travel though, he managed to hear some voices in the fog. Was it his imagination? With some degree of caution, he approached. He didn't particularly recognize the voice, but it had been distant anyway.
As he waded through the mist, trying to seek the source, he ended up tripping over something soft. Grunting as he hit the ground, he slowly pushed himself up, then turned to see what it was he had tripped over. It didn't feel like a rock or a rug or.. whatever. When he saw the curled up white form, his good eye widened.
"Mitsu..?" he whispered, somewhat in disbelief. She was clutching her head. Was it the fog? Or something else. How would she react to him right now? He had harmed her after all.

Mitsu had yet to come to her senses but the sudden foot to her back made her wince her hands covering her head like it would help her hide. No No No they had found her. She had run but they had found her. They were just going to keep beating her until she couldn't take it anymore. Why wouldn't they just leave her alone?
She made a choked cry, even at the sound of her name. Her mind was too far gone in her own personal nightmare to realize that Shun was there with her. All she could do was continue to lay there and tremble.

She barely responded to him, and in fact she had huddled in on herself even more. It didn't look like she was currently wounded... most likely because the last he had saw her, he had dissipated her. Frowning, Shun looked her over before trying to pull her close.
"Mitsu, it's me. The horsemen.. they have some sort of cure. I... I'm sorry I hurt you."

Mitsu flinched again, finally daring to pull her hands away from her head as Shun pulled her toward him. Her legs didn't seem to want to work but her hands reached out toward him, tentatively touching his chest, arms and then reaching up to touch his face. He was real and...and not an insanity creature. At first she thought her assumption that he had gotten away had been true but his words quickly changed that.
A cure. The...horseman had a cure? So he had changed and somehow she hadn't. She continued to cup his cheeks in her hands her eyes brimming with tears. So the others...the others had changed too? Could the horseman fix them as well?
'I'm scared.' She mouthed, closing her eyes again trying to regain her focus. The need to run was bubbling up again but what about the others. What of Xiu and Amrita and Tybalt? There could be countless others she had no real idea. If she did nothing would they all be lost or would she be lost to the mist as well?

"It's alright to be scared.. but you need to stay strong. I'm sorry. I.. feel like I've broken a promise to you," he said quietly while averting his gaze for the moment. Shun looked around, trying to see if any others were in the immediate area. All he saw was fog really. He did not like to depend on others, but he was not in much of a condition to be fighting, and there was safety in numbers.
Well. As long as those numbers didn't end up turning upon one another like it did with his former party.
It was too bad he didn't know that this cure was just temporary. Time was ticking away, but for now, he was fine.
"Are you hurt at all? You're all huddled up here..."

Her hands finally dropped down so that she could grip his jacket. At least now he was okay, he was back and in one piece but..why had the horseman kept this cure to themselves. With the recent developments in insanity she hadn't heard a thing about this....though she had been living in her room a lot as of late. But how long had they had it? Could they have reversed Riley's condition? Jericho's?
Shaking her head about being hurt Mitsu pulled herself together enough to try to stand to her feet. It was a slow and unsteady process but she managed keeping close to her reaper in the meantime. Where were they going to go now that it was just the two of them? Would they try to find the others or retreat?

Wincing, Shun got back up to his feet while pulling her up as well. Once up, he began to walk, though he wasn't sure where to go.
"Have you seen anyone else?" he asked quietly. He was a little torn on whether they should try to retreat back to the school and out of this fog or try and find the fate of their friends. Then again, they weren't in a very good condition here.
Choices. Choices. He didn't know which would be better.
"I shouldn't have let you follow me here.." he uttered lowly.

Mitsu shook her head again. She had heard a voice calling names off in the distance but had yet to actually see the person that voice belonged too. Otherwise she had been in the same spot for a while now unwilling to move.
For now she huddled close to Shun her arms wrapping around one of his. It was clear she was still nervous and tense, the fur on her tail raised as she gazed around the fog waiting for something or...someone to pop up. She was in a bit better standing health wise but her body was still worn and sore from dissipation not once but twice back to back. The lycan was in no condition to fight let alone defend herself.
She frowned though when Shun said he shouldn't have let her come along. Clinging to him a little tighter she turned up to look at his face. Her imagination would have gotten away with her no doubt if she had been back in her room. There was no telling how she would have fretted though it worried her more now that she actually knew of the situation. But how would she have reacted if he just hadn't come back?

Feeling her cling tighter, he looked down to see her staring up at his face. He didn't have anything else to say on the matter, though. Mitsu had already been through so much. Letting out a breath, Shun turned his attention back towards the fog. The idea of calling out to see who else was around came to mind, but that seemed more like a poor idea than a good one.
Yes, it might alert other students. But at the same time, it might draw attention of those lost to the mists. That was the last thing they needed right now.
"Keep moving.. and keep an eye out for anyone. I know I heard a voice around here..."
