Jeremy saw the two waving at him, and in his attempt to stay as inconspicuous as possible for the moment he only vaguely waved back...and then passed it off as him swatting a fly. Did Deus even have flies?
He then listened to the briefing, understanding the part about the Haunted House the previous year - it was, after all, the last thing he participated in before bad news sunk in and he ended up in a pod for some cooldown time. Insanity? Was that what Otto was trying to tell him about? He supposed it changed from Giant Turkey-Phoenixes now though. Hrm, weird. Wait, what was that about a dragon?!
The briefing just made him more confused, but maybe it was something that could be cleared up down the line...or perhaps by Ariane, who was heading right for him! Well, wasn't that convenient! He had heard he was alive but hadn't yet had the luck to find her; after all, the room he recalled her having was unoccupied now, and he never was able to find out where she was now. Seeing her confirmed that she was in fact alive, and once she got closer he realized something else.
He hadn't told her he was awake yet oh shi-----SLAP!
Jeremy's head swung with the force of the blow, but he snapped back to look at her quickly, not grabbing his reddening cheek but to instead grab her, crushing her against him in a hug. He didn't care that her first greeting in almost a year was a slap, or that she was being a sassbucket...she was still alive, and still here, and she was, of course, his dear friend.
"I missed your stupid face too." Jeremy murmured, not particularly caring that she was groping him...because it meant that he could return the favor. Squish, Squish. Suddenly there was someone else there, and Jeremy couldn't forget an albino. His name yes, the guy no.
"Like a threeway?" He suggested easily, before squinting at Bix. "Did you cut your hair?"

"I'll tell you the long sad tale of my hair when we get there." Bix gave Jeremy a nod. "I guess it would be a threeway.. I'm down, so long as our weiners never touch." He said on his way out the door. Yeah. He said that. [Exit]

Candace couldn't help but grin and try not to giggle at how Clarice had written out the notes on the whiteboard with Little happy and unhappy smiley faces and everything. That was adorable. She looked them over, snerking and covering her mouth with one hand at 'Dumb b***h Ruined All The Things'. Yes, that impostor...it was nice having the real Aria. She glanced Jerry's way after reading the line about the level three outbreak, frowning when Clarice mentioned it herself. A bunch of them did nearly die. But this subject was something that she recently found herself actually getting interested in, mostly for personal reasons. Insanity. She quickly looked over what Clarice had written, hoping for some kind of hint at a hope for Lance..
- Insanity can also take on an infectious form that, so far, has proven permanent (it can be treated but not wholly cured by any method used so far D:<)
Permanent..
Oh god, what stage was Lance at? How was his skin? It was okay, right? So maybe just the first stage? If he had to be at anything..
Yeah, Candace was definitely up to this. Now it was just a matter of figuring out who she would go with. She'd gone in that first time with Harrison and Jerry, maybe them? Or maybe it'd be wiser to pick another team this time...
Choosing is hard. :|

Bix? Offering his own butt up without her harassing him?
Ariane raised an eyebrow at the male, and then proceeded to head out the room with Jeremy in tow; this was probably Jeremy's first mission in months, "Eh, why not? Sounds good to me."

Jeremy allowed himself to be dragged out of the room, but not before he put a little too much thought into whether or not he was comfortable with that idea.
He did just re-meet the guy, after all.

Ryan headed for the door with the rest, though he didn't feel as confident as some others did. He recalled multiple encounters with insanity infected creatures. Most of which revolved around the four clan island incident. Something he didn't wish to recall. But looking at the other trainees and hunters, a lot of which had been awake far longer than he had been, he had to wonder what they might have seen. Or experienced.
:Good thing you charged your phone last night, instead of forgetting like you usually do.: Locke, despite his seemingly 'good mood' was tense and no matter how he tried to hide it, Ryan knew the carbuncle was nervous. He could so relate to that.

Sounded easy enough, but she highly doubted it would be that easy. If there was anything she had learned from all the missions, it was that you should always prepare for the worst. Because something always happened. Kat glanced over at her friends and acquaintances when the mention of groups came up. Unfortunately, she had no idea as to what their plans were, or who she she should team up with for this. Shrugging it off, she followed the group of hunters to the portal. She could always locate someone on the other side, she guessed.

Sydney stood, looking around for someone she felt comfortable offering to go with. Her eyes fell on Candace--they were both mists, they had both gone through the house thing together--in fact, she would enjoy going with another, or even a few other mists-- Hesitantly she headed for the dark skinned female. "Candace? I know you probably have a team, but I was thinking... in order to become a better mist, I'd like to work with one I admire," she said quietly. "Would you let me join your team?"

Last october was the event that made him second guess everything they'd been doing here at Deus. That one moment where he looked into those faces, those monstrous faces, and all he saw mirrored in those eyes was himself. He remembered how Rep had been considering the benefits of being a monster, or a weapon. But he knew this wasn't what the man meant. "You ever get the feeling you're fighting a pointless battle, sugar?" Robert breathed out softly, under his breath, to the girl in front of him. But his eyes were on the board, and more importantly, Clarice. She wanted them to fight. She told them to fight. She was the only reason he still believed Deus was the right side. She couldn't be wrong. "Be careful. This place is going to be a ********. If you need me, I'll always be nearby. Don't ever think twice, just call." His eyes had slid down to Eva to give her the warning, and one side of his lips turned up in a soft smile. "Thanks for trying to cheer me up, sweetheart." He nudged her chin with his knuckles, and got up to leave.

A familiar voice calling her name immediately got Candace's attention. She blinked, turning a glance toward Syd and giving her a warm smile. "Not yet, I was just thinking of who to bother."In order to become a better Mist.. Oh? What was this? I'd like to work with one I admire, Atropos chuckled. She kind of wished she could tell Sydney she had Candace at 'better Mist'. Candace just looked awestruck, joyful but speechless. Sydney admired her holy s**t she was admired by someone who wasn't going to go batshit crazy on her oh my god this was the best day ever oh my gooooooood."Of course!" Candace finally managed to get out, successfully resisting the intense urge to squeal with delight. Eeeeeeee! "I'd love that, actually."

Back to that blasted haunted house. Only now the creepiness just had to be dialed up to 11.
leon stared with a blank expression as Clarice began to explain the finer details of the mission. Last october was met with chaos, and to the brunette hunter, it looked like the party was happening all over again. He was not pleased, not one bit.
8| and his stare at the higher Life division member Claire spoke volumes of his disdain.
8| "I take it that the teams are going to be left up to us right?" he asked dryly, already knowing the answer. yep, the mission was ******** even before it completely began.

Feng had hung around away from everyone else like the lame little creeper he was, listening carefully as the mission was explained. He was unsurprised when the little faces by the important points seemed to pretty accurately match his own facial expressions. Feng was pretty predictable in the emotions department.
He should probably join up with some others, he was sure, but being the awkward little (large) guy he was, he hung back and let his eyes skim the room. Hmph.

As Clarice spoke, Wilson turned his attention to the board and skimmed the contents. The corners of his lips twitched as he recalled the phoenix. He raised his eyebrows at the instructions given. Just observe? Well, he thought, she also said it may be necessary to engage in battle. At the mention of finding a buddy, the hunter grinned and craned his neck to look over at Madeline. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” He patted her on the head before he gave a returning nod to Ami.
He began to gently pry Madeline’s chin away. “Are you ready?”

"Thank you!" Syd said--and it wasn't even under the influence of a rose. "I'm hoping this will turn out less harrowing than our last Mist moment, though. But, seeing that we're going to be dealing with insanity again, I'm not sure that'll happen." Then she grinned. "But I'd rather have a Misty at my back, wouldn't you?" She glanced around, her eye catching on another mist even as she said that. "Feng?" She thought that was his name. "Feng, right?" she called. "Are you looking for a group?"

Ohmygod.
"Ohmygod," Feng huffed under his breath, freezing. He'd totally been caught just creeping around like a creepy creeper. That was so embarrassing. His ears might have tinged pink a bit - just a tiny bit - at the realization.
"Oh, um, yeah. Yeah I need a group," he shrugged a bit, though it was more a gesture of uncertainty than nonchalance. Feng was great with this whole interaction thing, really.
