I still haven't told my mom what I am, I know my dad wouldn't care. But my mom would.
She constantly bashes gay and bi people in front of me, She's homophobic and racist...it's disgusting..
Here are some things she has said:
Me: What's wrong with bi people?
Mom: They want one sex one week and one sex the other! They can't stay in a relationship. So many people have ruined marriages for being bi. And it's disgusting!

Her: it sure is an insult!

Her: I have nothing agains't gay people, Unless they are my children.

Everytime i bring up gayness she yells at me and says im ruining her day, she wont listen to me at all about her bigotry. I can't stand it. How could I ever tell her what I am if she acts like that??
My dad has made it obvious it's not a big deal to him, That it's nothing he would have to "get over" he doesnt care.
But my mom says things like "I would still love you" Which really offends me. I mean, Is being gay really something so awful that she feels the need to point out she would still love me?
Gayness isn't something awful you've done that someone can just say, Well you did it but I still love you...
It's being gay, the fact that it needs to be stated gets to me. It kind of hurts me.
And it makes me want to get back at her. Is that wrong of me?
I don't know..

Demoness_tsunami My mom is annoying she says stuff like " Are you sure you should be desiding your orientation this early on in life..." I think that if I know..then I know. She's weird aobut it sometimes bu she wasn't mad or anything like I thought I'd be, my dad went pretty unphased, and most of my freinds did too, alot of them are Bi aswell. It was the same way with me and my mom. But she eventually got over it. Oh, by the way and I know that you don't know me and it is a bit early but Happy Birthday! From Kaerri (Kitty) wink

My friends were pretty calm when I told them I was bi, but I still haven't told my family yet. (they would disown me. I swear). Of course, when I make a new friend, I have to keep it down until I know they'll accept it. sweatdrop
But, with my friends, it was easy, because most of them were already out and bi. Or at least some of them, so I knew I would still be accepted.

biggrin I'm fully out now. I even wrote my name and "loves girls" really big in my driveway. It's fun being out! Or so I think.
sweatdrop But when I came out to my mom she did the whole, "It's just a phase," and "You don't know what you're talking about," routine. She was in denial for a bit but now she's cool about it. (I was forced to come out to her though because she found some poems I had written and was like eek )
My dad and I joke about my sexuality all the time and he usually tries to get me to pick out girls I think are attractive.

Rosemary Girl I have not told anybody but my brother, who told me that he was gay, then then blabed to all of his friends about me, one of wich was in a grade above me at school, who told all my friends, who told everybody else in the school but yea, thats just the way the gay rumor ran in our school. there were people in my school I could not tell you their name, but I can tell you if they are gay I denyed it at the time, I was still way into my christian thing, and so every day for ages I got faced with friends: are you gay me: no friends: your bi then me: no friends: come on, you must be gay me: do you really think my answer has changed in the last thirty secounds friends: so who do you like *list almost every guy in the room* me: no friends: then how about *fat male* me: no man boobs thanks, I prefer the real thing friends: WHAT me: NOTHING but yea I got asked every day after that if I was gay, and I really wanted to tell them, and totally was in love with one of my friends, but the way the gay rumor spread was horrific and I was attached to my illusion of christianity

My story is a bit easier i guess...
My parents dosn't care really just as i'm happy really...
Mostly everyone i know knows that i'm bi and my friends dosn't care.
My brother is a bit to young even to grasp the idea of sexuality so there is no point in telling him about it so. xp
My life is rather bored really but people take it real okay when they find out that i'm bi.
But i do get teased alot in school about it and if it wouldn't be because of my friends i probally wouldn't be here today. Teenagers can be really cruel to each other....
I'm so happy that i got so good friends that care about me really!

My family disowned me; like, it was right after I turned 18, so they kicked me out. I was really depressed for a while after that, but then my little sister came to visit me and made it clear that she didn't care one way or another. Too bad, though; she would get in trouble for admitting she visits me to my parents. crying

last night i told my husband that i was in love with my best friend. he actually took it rather well considering we were at odds at that time. he even asked me if she felt the same way in return. at least that huge weight is off my chest now sweatdrop

My brother's gay, and he and my mom were talking one day, and my mom asked him if he'd ever been with a girl before. He answered no....and I started laughing...my mom gave me a funny look and I said..."I have" She was like...."Oh!" and laughed. Later, she asked me what it was like.... blaugh As for my friends, they've always known...
