The next booth her father had picked was again another Horseman booth. Mei cringed lightly behind her father as the older Jiang Shi seemed to have a particular knack for picking booths where she knew people at. At least somewhat knew them anyhow. He eyeballed Shaheen and her....scantily cladness. Covering his mouth with his hand and coughing. Lightly. Most certainly not used to seeing so much skin nor tracks of land so large. Tugging on his sleeve, Mei bobbed her head towards the targets. The bow on her head flopping around. "I don't know if you want to play this one Father. You might get...a bucket of water thrown on you."A frown creased his brow just slightly as he looked down at his daughter. "These....Horsepeople don't seem very friendly if they are dumping water buckets on everyone." He eyeballed Shaheen again, curiously. Mei's lips went thin and tight over her teeth. "Some are ok I guess. Here. Lets see if I can win something. If I hit the wrong target at least you won't get wet." Paying her dues, in seeds and possibly embarrassment, Mei grabbed a dagger and chucked it as quickly as she could. Clapping, her father smiled. "Ah good little Plum. I'm glad to see you've gotten a knack for weaponry."She sighed. Again the name. Seussi In yer thread, takin yer tokens.

She nodded as Shaheen spoke to one of her customers. Lan wasn't going to take her from her work needlessly. But when she returned and spoke of how Lan might be convincing herself, the noble gave a shrug, feeling a little less taken back from before. "He's not the most verbal of horsemen, so if you must have an answer you may ask him. I can only assume from my observations. Not to mention, I cannot understand who would find these.." She looked around, "Halloweeners appealing. If so, something is rather broken in their brain. Soren has given no indication of such mental defects." Lan called it like she saw it.

When Senga finally found his way back to Shaheen's booth, it was through sheer luck alone. He rumbled at the sight of knife-throwing, and picked his way through the thinning crowd of people to try his luck again, whether Jay and Iyari followed or not. This was probably the safest booth around, barring the fact that it dealt with sharp pointy objects and a War Executioner that seemed nearly as tall as the sky and as scary as a goddamned tornado from hell. Senga's wings fluffed at the sight of the two, and he nodded a curious hello - only to be interrupted by a leviatha nipping at his ear. It had stubbornly clung to his shoulder since he'd found it at the snow-booth (read: stolen) and was now buried stubbornly in his pelt.
Unfortunately, the stubborn thing continued to n** at him and his hair and his skulls all the way through his attempt at throwing daggers, and he swatted it over the head with the consolation prize as soon as he got a chance.
"Your turn," He told the other two grudgingly, flicking his wings with a vengeful air. He would get this sooner or later.

A wayward puppy shouldn't be left to its own devices.
Iyari had made certain to keep close, lest another one of his outbursts led to something else entirely unsavory (and worse words). She was happy to see he had made it to a booth which suited their trio of War Horseman. The soldier looked to Shaheen with a nod before grabbing hold of a dagger and tossing it into the target.
She'd hit it and glanced back to Senga. Now even the smaller creatures seemed to be riling him up. "Nice to see you can still hit a target given your current... difficulties." Perhaps she shouldn't push it further than that.
"Come on Jay." She said with a smile, wrapping a gracious hand around the consolation prize. Truly the prize was just in throwing something sharp around.

When the war horsewoman returned to Shaheen’s booth, Jay was delighted to find that the promised bracelet was finished. “Yay! It perfectly matches my wings,” she squealed as she took the piece of jewelry from the chieftain. She briefly held it against the bright blue feathers of her wings before she eagerly slid it onto her wrist until it quietly clanged against the bracelet already dangling around her wrist. “I love it!”
Once Iyari and Senga took their turn at the game, Jay eagerly stepped up to the plate. She happily picked up the dagger and took a moment to relish the feel of a throwing blade in her hand. The warrior eyed the targets and tilted her head as she tried to pick which one to aim for. If there was a way to know which one gave what prize she wasn’t paying attention to it at all. While she considered hitting the target she hit last time, that was no fun at all. Reluctantly, Jay picked out a random and threw. It hit. She spun around toward Shaheen and Shikoba. “I hit it! What’d I getwhat’dIget—“ Her excitement simmered when Shikoba dumped a bucket of water on her. She slumped her shoulders and after a moment began to wring the water out of her hair and skirt. “I wasn’t expecting that…”
Well, at least she had a prize to match Senga’s and Iyari’s.

"And that," She replied, "Is something we can both agree on. Though even you must admit that they have their uses." her smirk turned into something more wicked. She already knew Shik's opinion of the students was on the very negative side. He somehow found it necessary to blame them for what happened to the isles. Shaheen did not feel quite the same way. Yes, the students were annoying and ignorant, but they could be taught, or at the very least trained to be something more useful towards their cause. And then back to the student with the black ears. "Oh well, I see." She frowned, not having anticipated that the girl was going to give her life story. Dear horse lord! "Instincts should never be denied. And sometimes becoming a beast is not always a bad thing." Her gaze flickered once again towards Shik, who was tearing into yet another turkey leg. "I suggest you just embrace who you are." Her attention was momentarily diverted when Mei approached once more, this time with a man who hovered over Shaheen by inches. That..didn't happen very often. She did manage to catch a lot of his words as he approached, and she was tempted to pick up a bucket of water right then and there to show just how friendly she could be. She accepted the seeds, but didn't even watch Mei's throw, just kept her golden eyes locked on the girls friend..whoever he was. "Yes, good job, little plum." She smirked, not looking towards Mei but still sliding two tokens towards her. "Perhaps there is hope for you yet." Charming as always, Shaheen was, before she turned back to Lan once more, opened her mouth as though to say something, and then stopped, eyes widening ever so slightly. "Oh..oh I forgot!" She ducked down and made a grab for something. "I will be back shortly." The chieftain vaulted herself out of the booth, and with a few beats of her massive wings took off into the air. -------------------------- And a few minutes later, she returned, looking quite elated. "Again, I apologize. Where were we?" She frowned, trying to recall the conversation they had been having before she'd remembered something of utmost importance and had flown away. "Oh yes, the death gaurdian and his penchant for kissing students, whether or not he enjoys it." Her face crinkled up a little, as she was more then ready to get off of that topic now. That was yesterdays news, in the chieftains mind. Moving right along! "I can not imagine that he could possibly find any delectation in such things." She finally decided, nodding her head as though a final decision had finally been made. "Now tell me, Lan, would you be opposed to perhaps joining me on a little fear harvesting expedition someday? Or maybe a spar, where we could test your arrows against my flying dagger?" She grinned at the other woman, awaiting her response. Shikoba seemed to have Iyari, Jay, and Senga under control, though the chieftain was pleased to see that the warrior was happy with her bracelet. "I am glad you like it, Jay." She answered her, giving her a nod before the other woman found herself doused with water. Good work keeping up on that dousing, Shik~ Yayoi Verifying that you have won two tokens! iStoleYurVamps dajlkgsds sorry she's all over the place ;; Ol-j-man I just like quoting you, k?

There was still one last pair of horsemen that Soren needed to visit. Some sort of knife throwing game. There were so many targets but only one with a rope. It was rather obvious which one he was supposed to aim for.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd cue bucket of water. It drenched him, and he was not amused. Not amused at all. Probably the only thing that could have amused him at that moment was knowing how much of their day two mares had spent gossiping about his lips.
+1 Consolation prize~

"Some uses. Few, but some. They were good distractions when we faces the hunters, though they often got in the way." They needed to simply learn that the sooner they obeyed, and understood the way of horsemen, the better. Lan didn't mind as Shaheen was busy, taking off. If anything she was glad. It detracted from the awkward conversation. On her return- "Rather fast. I envy the wings of your clan for such things." Said the noble who took her mount whenever she could. The subject of Soren dropped, Lan's eyes lit up at the suggestion of fear harvesting. "Yes to both. I always love going out for a harvest, and a spar never hurt." Unless it was with Shikoba. "The bow and flying dagger- It will be an interesti-" A splash of water, and Lan stared at the one who'd begun to drip. She just gave a light clap. Well done Soren. Well done.

Shaheen only vaguely recognized the newest horseman who approached, having only seen him from afar a very few amount of times. Oh, wait, he was the one who's lips they had been speaking of for a very, very long time now, wasn't he? She leaned forward a little, staring at him with her head cocked slightly to the side. This was the man that everyone seemed to be talking about. SPLASH. "...............Did you...did you actually..." He did. He had aimed for the rope. He must have aimed for it. Had he not seen that it was rigged up to a bucket? Rolling her eyes skywards, she reached down and grabbed a feather, then leaned forward to place it in his hair, as she had done countless time that day to countless others who had lost at her game. There. Very pretty.

Soren had hit the hardest target and he was not impressed with his prize. Nor was he particularly pleased by the reaction he was getting for it. The clap reached his ears first and he turned to see Lan. Finally, there she was. His gaze flickered to the War horsewoman as she put a feather in his hair.
Had she actually set up a game like this on purpose? "Man o' War," he cursed under his breath, noting the grey and golden eyes. Of course, having been around too many under the influence of insanity he recognized what that meant. Now the game made sense as well, only one truly warped up would think of something like this. At least that was what he thought at the moment. If he could have seen students getting water poured on them...maybe he would agree with her instead.
"Lan. You left the booth." Apparently Soren wished to state the obvious today.

"Hmmph." Senga flicked a wing at his sister, swatting her mildly with a few tawny feathers. "I'll do better next time." He scratched the leviatha snug in his pelt with a finger and rumbled, "I would like to see you try with something biting at your ear every other minute." Tucking the consolation prize into a skull that rattled against his tawny hair, Senga blinked and looked up when the sound of not one, but two buckets of water splashing down rang in his ear.
The sight of Jay was obvious, and he laughed just a little at the idea that she was getting what he'd gotten just earlier. "Here." He said, shaking off his pelt and dumping it on her head to use as a makeshift towel. He didn't mind the slight chill against the bandages that wrapped his upper chest, used to it by now alongside sleeping in trees at night without much to keep warm. "You can't say you didn't see that one coming." He told her wryly.
Senga glanced over where the sound of a second splash had come from, and quickly smothered a laugh with one hand at the sight of Soren of all proud stallions getting his butt soaked. His skulls rattled and clicked hollowly together, and he might have looked at the man with just a bit of haughty amusement. He deserved that, after all. He glanced back at Jay. They both did.
"Watch out, sister," He said, turning to glance at Iyari, "you might be next."

She smiled as the feathers hit her, feeling that all too familiar rush of wanting to take her brother down into a wrestling match to see who could wrench themselves out of it first. Naturally it was all in good sport, a healthy sense of competition which the siblings found to be just as necessary as breathing. "Isn't the point of practice so you can do what is needed while ignoring distraction?" Tilting her head she looked back at Jay with a satisfied look.
"Seems what goes around is finally coming around, wouldn't you say?"
It was odd to see Senga's pelt on Jay, like a polar bear had draped itself over the petite horseman. "How very generous." She said with a bewildered tone. Unusually nice considering Senga's general attitude towards life, the universe and everything.
A second splash had swept Senga's attention and she followed his eyes to stare at the other Horseman. "Heh, well that was a quick answer to that question." The solider crossed her arms.
"I'd wager you'd get splashed again before I do, considering how you've done at other booths." There was a quick glance at a certain Conquest Horseman while she remained facing Senga. "Maybe you should take a break before something worse happens."
Aaaaah, family.

"The point of practice is perfection of a certain skill, I would imagine." Senga sighed, glancing at his sister. "I suppose you are right though - for once." He added the last part almost as bait; if Iyari wanted a row, he was more than happy to oblige. He toyed with his feather absently, glancing at Iyari's matching one. "And you should not be so quick to lecture, dear sister, when your results are not so much better than mine."
Yes, he was certainly baiting her.
Senga glanced at Iyari with something bordering challenge at her next comment, his wings ruffling as though there was something particularly annoying bugging them. Of course, it was only natural for the two to bicker and eventually wrestle around, and with no parental figure around to stop them anymore... well, there was only one path this route could go, right? "Contrary to popular belief, I am not that cold-hearted." He told her.
Scoffing at her guess, Senga turned his head, tawny hair still damp from his last encounter at Shaheen's booth. "I think not." He said quietly, crossing his arms and glancing at the other. He, however, did not glance in Soren's direction again, even though he caught Iyari's eyes drifting. His gaze hardened minutely. His lips curled upwards into a smile that wasn't really a smile; in fact, it bordered on something predatory. "At least my night has been more productive than yours." His gaze flickered for a brief moment. "And I have not even been set on fire."
They were such a loving brother-sister duo, weren't they?

And then, soaked, Lan could not help but notice Soren's rippling muscles and she swooned like a bad romance novel heroine with the Fabio covers that air airbrushed like ********
When Soren addressed her Lan crossed her arms. "So I did. I left you and Lifen alone. You are both capable of running the booth yourselves." She looked him, soaked. "Lifen will need to clean that now." She muttered under her breath. Poor artisan was going to have her hands ever full of work.
Senga, Jay got a passing glance and a nod. So did the other one who she didn't know. It was only polite.

Soren heard the odd sound and glanced over to see Senga looking fairly amused. He might have pursed his lips and kissed the air at him, just to remind him. And obviously if he turned away it was because he was trying not to notice the fabric cleaning to the Death Guardian's muscles. His eyes narrowed slightly. "Capable yes." But there was the issue of the fact that he did not (generally) enjoy his task, and why should he work extra from some noble. Then a thought occurred to him as she spoke. "Lifen's alone." As in, hey, we left her alone, we should probably do something about that. "Enough playtime. Lets go back." Not that he had a good reason for insisting. "Read my fortune for me." A slightly questioning lilt to his voice to make it a suggestion.
