With the Pokeball in her hand, Naano looked up at Eva and released Beatrice. She did this away from the other battle, and before it had started. It pained her to have to do this, and she wished that she could once again use berries to get Eva to come with her. "Beatrice! Flame Thrower!" she called out. As the Espeon was pelted with fire, she cried out causing Naano to visibly cringe. She hated this.. Eva attacked with psybeam, and the next order was "Use high jump kick! Then fire punch!" Not only was her precious Espeon attacked with a painful kick, but she was once more pelted with fire, but with the added bonus of a hit to the shoulder. Espeon attacked with Psywave, and then yawned causing Beatrice to fall asleep almost automatically. Switching the snoozing Pokemon with Mizu, she called "Now! Water gun!". Streams of water slammed into Eva, causing her to fly back but she still got up again and attacked with slash. She only needed one more hit, and Naano knew it. "Aqua Jet!' Once again Eva was damaged with the water, and she could barely stand. As a tear fell down her face, Naano threw the pokeball that Ryan had given her.
And now was the moment of truth, was she really ready for this?

Picking up the Pokeball, she walked back to where she had stood earlier.
As Ryan tugged her arm, she looked up at him. Her face read anger, but her eyes said otherwise.
She turned her back for a moment; to wipe away a single tear that fell down her face. Who had she lost in the past year? Her grandfather, her cousin, her Pokemon, and her best friend. At least she still had love, even if it came with secrets of its own.
Retaining her composure, she stepped a few feet behind Ryan and released both Shadow and Eva."Espeee!" ("Oh hello there! Have we met?"). She was actually quite jolly for the moment at hand."Umbreon, umbree?' ("You, don't remember me?"). Eva looked at Shadow long and hard for a while, but shook her head "Esp...." ("No..."). Shadow looked down at the ground sullenly, and then Naano got an idea. Taking out her drawing pad, with the one page ripped out, she retrieved the picture of Shadow and Eva playing as Eevees. Before everything had happened, before she had done everything wrong and started this mess. Would Becca still be alive? Probably, she wouldn't have rushed, and she wouldn't have dropped anything....
Turning her back to the three again, she got rid of another tear. Returning her attention to the Eevees, she was surprised when Eva jumped on her "Espeee! Espeon! Esp espeon!" ("Oh Naano! Naano it's you! I missed you so much!"). As Eva licked her face, Naano could help it. She began to cry and hug her Espeon close. They were happy tears, but they fell in large numbers. "Eva! I missed you so much!". All she could do was hold her Pokemon and cry "Thank you, oh Arceus thank you!". She was so connected to her Pokemon, they were like family to her. Family which she no longer had.
The battle was still going on.

Naan couldn't help herself, and she leaped up from the ground and ran to Ayato. Of course, instead of decking him in the face like last time, she hugged him. It might have been too much. or maybe even too soon. But she was sorry. Oh Arceus she had struggled with all of this for much too long. Letting go of him, she took a step back before speaking, bracing herself for a scolding. "I miss it too...." she whispered.
The facade she had worn earlier of anger, hatred, and strength had fallen down like worn armor. Her emotions were easily visible once more, and anyone could have seen the happiness in her eyes. Could she really have her Utopia? Maybe she could even tolerate Esme. Yes, tolerate was as far s they would get...unless of course Naano tried hard enough. But then again they were pretty much homicidal towards each other.
Turning towards Beartic, she opened her arms up and allowed him to snuggle into her. Well, he actually rammed into her causing her to fall. But once on the ground he was licking her face and whining. It seemed to be an apology "It's okay Bubba" she said, remembering the name she had helped pick out for him. She wrapped her arms around the Pokemon's neck and rested her hair and the fur.
She was so happy.
So very happy.
Naano was sure that Becca was looking down on them, and she used that strength to then get up and say "He's right. It's possible that a Cattivita member killed Becca. One of them is also trying to kill you two. We can solve this together." She paused and walked up to Ryan "But you're they're spy...will you still help? I don't want you to get targeted too Ryan.".

Naano sprinted after Ryan, with a new sense of energy. Honestly she'd never run so fast in her life. No, she was not about to lose him. "Ryan!" she yelled after him "Ryan wait!". She didn't run fast enough to be next to him, even though she was sure that she could have. He needed some time to vent, she had obviously done something wrong again. But if she had to choose between them, she'd choose Ryan. After all, she did love him, and he made her feel things she couldn't ever imagine. She needed him.
Even though she was a few feet behind, and stayed that way, she kept going. Keeping a good pace was important. Surprisingly enough she was a fast runner and she had plenty of stamina, but it couldn't compare to Beartic's the last time she ran. She had to get her arm out of the sling to run, and she was breathing hard but going strong.
They were far away from Esme and Ayato now, and Naano couldn't tell if Ryan was going to stop, but she knew that as long as she loved him...she'd never stop running. "Ryan!" She called out again. It wasn't clear how long they had been going at this. Mustering up her courage, she called out to him "I'm not going anywhere without you Ryan." Her breathing began to get heavy, and her legs felt like lead. "And I'm not going to just let you run away from me either!". In any other moment like this, the pain in her legs would have won her over, but she kept going; Naano refused to let him go.

"No." she said after standing there for a bit "I'm not going with you two. I'm not traveling with anyone anymore. I'm done with this, I'm done with hurting people like this." And i'm done with hurting myself...
Naano's eyes traveled to Ayato's "I'm sorry for everything I've done. I never meant anything by it, I never meant for any of this to happen.". There were still tears traveling down her face, and she wiped them away each time she felt them. "Now it's just time for me to go on my own, and maybe things will be better that way. Maybe he was right."
'You're worthless! Look at you! Look at what you've done to me and your mother! You waste of space! All you do is hurt us!"
