She blinked as her bow was squashed against her head by the hat. It was...only slightly too big for her head so it fell over her eyes before she pushed it up a bit. Able to see again, she grinned at the scarecone. At least Alex had remembered. It was nice and cold, which was good cause her throat was kind of dry and scratchy. Eyeballing all the stuff he dumped onto the ground around him, she quirked an eyebrow. "Oh yes lots of prospective challengers for sure. They will give you a run for your silver seeds. Of course, they still probably have a few years to practice before they can even think about trying to challenge me." Grinning, she ate away at the scarecone.

"You're welcome." He emphasized the words, since she hadn't bothered thanking him to begin with. His mother raised an eyebrow at him, shook her head, then...went back to do whatever it was she did when she wasn't bothering him.
Alex just rolled his eyes and Mei's next words, and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Sorry we were gone for so long. My loving mother decided she needed to stop in and say hi to Yin on the way back. I swear to jack she would trade me for him if she could." He grumbled, reaching down towards the package of dark chocolate he'd dropped on the ground and picking it up to unwrap, popping a piece in his mouth once he'd done so.
Mmmmm, yes. Chocolate made everything better.

Stopping mid lick, she squinted her eyes at him. "Fankew...."When he spoke of stopping and talking to Yin the ghoul frowned lightly. She'd have figured Alex would try to avoid that situation, but well. If Alex's mother liked Yin that much she could understand why he wouldn't be able to avoid it. Still though, it probably would have saved the Zomboil some pain not having to see the Weremantis again. As she was about to say something a very tall and very broad figure stepped up to the booth. Long white hair tied back into a loose ponytail. Wearing a dark blue kimono who's sleeves covered his hands. A similar parchment to Mei's upon his brow, only slightly more tattered. His presence was only slightly stifling. "I figured you'd have something like this set up." His voice was deep and gravely. Pale eyes glanced about the booth before they landed on Alex, then back to Mei. "Father!" The ghoul sat up straight, snatching the cowboy hat off of her head. "I didn't know you were coming. Where's mother?" Her head snapped around, looking about, but not seeing the older Jiang Shi. "What do you mean you figured I'd have something like this set up?" Mei puffed out her cheeks indignantly. "She did not come. And I meant something to do with this stuff." He swept a rather large hand towards the DDD game. "Now now little Plum don't make that face or it'll get stuck that way. Also where are your manners. Who is your friend here?""Alex. Alex this is my father." Mei pursed her lips lightly. She loved her father but he had a habit of embarrassing her on more than one occasion. Especially when he called her that little pet name.

Soren recognized that foal. Never mind that the foal was just an inch shorter than him. "You. Colt. What is this."He gestured to the DDD machine and waited for the student to tend to him. Seussi Daw Alex he remembered you *A* Isn't that sweet?

Alex gave Mei's somewhat garbled thank you an answering grin, reaching up to run fingers through his already disheveled hair. He could tell that Mei was not impressed that he had been made to stop at Yin's booth while the weremantis and his mother had their little visit, but really, what could he do about it at this point? They went to the same school together, and were going to have to get used to seeing each other sometime. Even if it did hurt to look at him, chances were in time those feelings would pass, right? And suddenly, a large shadow was bearing down on him, and for just a moment, before Alexander raised his eyes to the new comer he wondered if his own father might have actually shown up to the event as well. But no, this man was most definitely not Alex's father, though he did have white hair, much like Alex's mother. That was...kind of weird, actually. He had a moment to think that he and Mei, with Alex's mother and Mei's father, would actually look like they were all a part of the same family. He waited for Mei and her dad to have their exchange, and then held out his hand to the older Jiang Shi. "It's nice to meet you, sir." There, Alex could absolutely be polite when it was necessary. And then another broad shadow fell over him, and he found himself turning in his seat, blinking up at him, that horseman that he had met what felt like ages ago now. What was his name again? Eh, whatever, it's not like it really mattered. Still, this was a horseman, and keeping in mind what Mei said about trying to get along with them, he stood, and offered the larger man a smile. "It's a scarecade game called Dance Dance Dedolution." He was very aware that a horseman probably had no idea what the jack a scarecade even was, so he moved out from behind the booth and approached the machine, turning towards the man. "Here, I'll play it once and give you a demonstration." That really just seemed easiest. The zomboil hoisted himself up onto the platform and began tapping the arrows with his foot until he came upon a song that seemed rather appropriate, and began to play. All and all it was not his best game, the song not one he'd ever danced to before and the beat for it was just..weird. Plus, he kept trying to explain the game while he played it. That definitely didn't help. "You have to move your feet to step on the arrows as they come up here on the screen." He pointed, demonstrating. "Often two arrows will come up at once, or a single arrow will need to be repeated..." His voice trailed off. He really wasn't very good at talking and concentrating on the screen at the same time. Anyways, he was finished. He glanced at his score and frowned a little before stepping off the machine, shrugging. "Anyways," He reached up to run fingers through his hair. "It's easy. Just put your silver seeds in their if you want to play." He pointed to the slot on the machine before he made his way back into his seat. Demo score: 28

The music was an assault to his senses. Still, anything a student could do he could do better. He put in his silver seed, followed the instructions, but it was just so annoying the at the end he just stepped off and just stared at the end of the song. Soren was done here. Score: 32 Sn: ramenli

...Another game? This one seemed...rhythm based? Hmm.
Salbei (complete in his new and quite awesome suit) watched the students play it first, catching on to the rules and how to play in general. When he was brave enough - rather, when he figured out how to do this - he stepped up to take a shot at it. What he didn't think to do was to figure out what song he wanted or even how to get a song, and so he stared pathetically at the game screen until someone came along to choose for him.
After that, it was all dancing.
Apparently he wasn't too bad at this! Even if his attempt was noisy at best thanks to his various trinkets he still kept on him.
....Wait, who was that?
"SOREN!" Sal said loudly once he was off the machine, smiling away. "My friend!" Sorry Soren, now everyone knows that Sal knows you. "Is this not delightfully entertaining!"Score: 28 + 3 = 31! SN: Enoh

Mei was at least somewhat relieved that Alex hadn't made any comments about the name. Hopefully he just didn't hear it. A light frown came to her lips as that one Horseman stopped by. But for the most part she just ignored him. Taking Alex's hand he gave it a firm shake before letting go, folding his hands back inside his sleeves. "And you I." His attention was taken away from them for the moment at the approach of the Horseman. If the older Jiang Shi had any inclination of emotion towards Soren's presence none of it showed on his face. He merely watched silently as Alex stepped up to the machine and showed him how to work it. Only turning back to his daughter and the boil once he had returned to his seat. "I assume since I haven't gotten any calls that you've been behaving yourself. Or have someone who's been making you behave while you are here."Crossing her arms over her chest, she scoffed lightly. "More like I keep Alex out of trouble half the time.""Right. Well then do you think your friend can stay out of trouble without you here for a while while you show your father around?" It had been a really long time since he'd been to the school. Perhaps too long. He had gotten lost for a couple of minutes when he'd first arrived. Though as the Horsemen left, he relaxed a bit more.

Alex pretty much just snorted in response to Mei proclaiming to be keeping him out of trouble. She was the one dating a horsemen, not him. And on top of that, she hadn't done anything to stop him from visiting the haunted house multiple times by himself to take on whatever hunter he could find. He had an empty eye socket and several scores of new stitches to prove that fact. "Ya, sure." And then, since Mei's dad seemed like he wanted them to be able to go exploring, he offered them both a warm smile. "Of course I'll be fine while you're gone." He waved them both away, distracted as he suddenly saw a very familiar horseman. Wearing a suit. What. The. Jaaaaaaack. When Sal was finished his game, Alex sat up straighter in his chair and let out a low whistle. "Hey Sal, looking sharp!" He grinned as he called out to the horseman, then settled back into his chair, reaching down for some more dark chocolate to munch on.

Only slightly disgruntled, Mei adjusted her bow before leaving the booth for a bit. The size difference between her and her father was almost comical. The ghoul looked almost still like a Scarling as she walked next to him out into the festival grounds.

Sal stared at Soren, lips pulled into a very disapproving frown. Not fun? "Perhaps you were doing it wrong, my Grumpy friend!" He tsked, about to redo it and make it delightful for him when he instead turned at the sound of a familiar voice. His pale face lit up briefly in joy as he recognized the boil; Alex! His other little Zombie, finally making an appearance! How delightful!
"Yes, this does accent my edges, don't you think?" Sal bent his elbows, tilting his head to look at the point it made through his suit. His robes often made him look like...well, a pile of robes! Straightening out he wandered over to where the boil was sitting, chatting away.
"Mort's delightfully bouncy ladyfriend let me borrow this, my robes were---Oh Dear Priestess, what happened to your face?" His chattering stopped and derailed into total concern as he noted the extra stitches and the missing eye. They weren't like that before!
Cue Mother Hen mode.
