Though still skeptical of the enemy the onigiri-daeva overlooking the table of snacks, Senga stalked over after wiping away the failed tea and plucked one up. "You better not have licked it," he told the little pet, nibbling at the edges and trying to discern what was inside. He'd seldom eaten this sort of thing before; after all, War didn't exactly prize pretty little snacks. Instead, Senga remembered lavish feasts and full roasting pigs on spits, the type of festivities where food was made around pits of fire all night long. The memory quickly disintegrated beneath the sour, salty tang of the onigiri in his mouth.
"Wh - " Senga wrinkled his nose and took another daring bite. What was this? It tasted similar to things he'd had before, but at the same time like something from a foreign world.
Continuing to nibble at it despite the strange, potent flavor, Senga's eyes flickered upwards to the daeva with a frown. Hopefully he wasn't eating something that would turn his stomach inside out, but with the onigiri-daeva, who knew.

The next onigiri he grabbed was even odder than the first, its flavor hard for him to distinguish as he bit away at the small snack. His wings curled around him placidly, though every once in awhile, the feathers rustled and he gave a slight "hnn," as though deciding whether or not to continue the ambitious, and somewhat hazardous road into onigiri-land. Finally, he realized that the filling in this one was pumpkin, which seemed all too fitting for a booth run by denizens of Halloweentown.
"I'm not going to turn into one for eating this, am I?" Senga asked the onigiri-daeva wryly, as though it would answer.
He tried to imagine himself as a pumpkin, and then hoped to Jupiter that that would never happen, not because being a pumpkin was a terrible fate, but because if he was, there was no telling what Jay would do to them.
He'd seen her carve things before, after all.iStoleYurVamps two token + minipet win! can i get an earl grey scent, if thats okay? ; u ; <33 sn: noiresu

The last of the onigiri was something he recognized right away; cheese. Frowning, Senga licked at his lips as he devoured the onigiri, and when all was said and done, and he hadn't turned into a pumpkin, or run for the trash bin, he merely stared at the pixie daeva for a long moment, contemplating what to do. Awkwardly, he bowed without ever losing eye contact, and then moved away from the booth, and turned back to the crowd. He still didn't trust the little devil, but at least nothing had tried to spring out of the onigiri part of the booth and wring his throat.
Senga sighed, rubbing the back of his head. He just wished he'd gotten something with meat in it, his mouth feeling empty now that he'd consumed the cheese filled onigiri. He was after all, a carnivore.

His mouth still slightly uncomfortable after his failure at LitL roasting company's roulette booth, Aedan stepped over to the Tea Club's booth, deciding to see if a cup of tea might not help.
Unfortunately, he thought with a grimace, he apparently had done something wrong--his tea wasn't very good...at all.

Making his way over to the plate of mystery onigiri, he picked one up, taking a large bite out of it. It wasn't bad...the pickled vegetable was quite nice, actually. (Or maybe he was just very hungry...regardless, he quite liked it!)

Deciding that he was hungry, and more than willing to take another chance, Aedan picked up one more onigiri off the plate, hoping his luck would hold. It was salty, and the rice was perfectly prepared.

"Just one more..." Aedan spoke to himself...probably a habit to be mildly concerned about.
This one had nothing inside it--it was almost disappointingly anticlimactic...but still tasty.

In one corner of the booth...was that...teacups? Making his way over toward the...pottery wheel, Aedan allows himself to be directed behind the wheel, and attempting to pay attention to the rudimentary instructions, decides to give making his own teacup a whirl.Quote: 21-40: The pedestal hums to life, spinning a bit quickly, but not too much so. You press your fingers through the clay, coming out with a rather lumpy, uneven attempt at a clay cup. Ah well. The resulting teacup was a rather pitiful specimen, he couldn't help but think. Nonetheless, he thanked the young horseman in charge, and accepted his deformed vessel good-naturedly.

Flying towards another booth, Astra settled in front of a club booth that was all about tea brewing, Tea brewing was like potion making, right? It involved measuring things exactly, making sure you had the right ingredients...at least Astra was hoping the two concepts would be similar, as she sat herself down to try and make some tea.
It didn't seem to work out for the fairy however. First she put in way to many leaves, and then she didn't heat the water up enough. But she was at least able to let it sit for the right amount of time, but when she offered it to the pixie deva, it just turned it's nose at it.

Since her tea brewing didn't work out so well, Astra went to take some of the onigiri instead. When she took a bite out of the one she picked, she frowned, chewing the rice and trying to recognize the flavor...wait a sec, this onigiri had grass in it!
It wasn't so gross that the fairy spat it out, but she did put the rest of it in the trash bin.

Looking at the rest of the onigiri warily, Astra was a bit more choosy this time, trying to pick one that didn't look like a dud (although this was hard to do since they all looked the same). But she didn't take too long, and eventually picked up one of the treats. This one tasted much better. The flavor was foreign to the fairy, but it was not a bad flavor, so she continued to munch on it.

Allowing herself one last treat to take with her, Astra paused as she chewed on the rice ball. This one also had a odd flavor to it. Not a bad flavor, but...odd. Trying to figure out if she liked it or not, she flew off to another stand, still holding the onigiri

Kwasi was looking for a food booth. He was getting hungry, again, so when he spotted the booth offering a plate of some white fluffy things, he didn't even stop to read the fact that it was a game. Looking around to see if you were supposed to pay, and seeing no price, he grabbed one and popped it in his mouth.
As he ate it, he wrinkled his nose. Who was in charge of cooking these things? Was that cheese inside? Then again, lots of food had cheese fillings. Maybe these were supposed to. Not his most favourite flavour, but not bad.

And free food was free food. He did notice the 'three per day' sign as he reached for his second, and grumbled. These were so small you'd have to eat a plate of them to fill yourself up, how was three supposed to kill the munchies. He bit into the second one, expecting another 'cheeseball'.
Instead, Kwasi bit into something that was like ... spicy ... vegetable? Was this someone's idea of a joke? He spat it out on the ground and looked accusingly at the remains of the onigiri in his hand. What kind of sadist puts spices in food? Seriously!

Blech, blech, blech. He needed something to get that flavour out of his mouth. Taking the last um, cheeseball, allowed for the day, and sniffing it, he carefully bit in. There would be no big mouthful for him this time, until he was certain it was safe. It was safe, it was more than safe, it was 100% spice free. Munching it down happily, Kwasi almost choked on the token that had been tucked inside it. Coughing a little and blinking unsteadily, he went over to where the students running the booth sat. "Is this uh ... redeemable after it's been in someone's mouth?"
