✻ ✺ ✹ ✴Sang-Min Lock Han✸ ✷ ✶ ✵ By the time the paramedics came in, Sang-Min was already outside, gun safely tucked away and beginning to lose his control over his body. " Fredrich!" he called, walking over to the ambulance with Magnus inside. He glanced over to the police, nodding once before climbing into the ambulance and sitting on the bench, rubbing a hand through his hair. He sighed, shaking his head. " F-ck," he cursed under his breath. He was so tired.

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich was standing outside of the first ambulance, looking over Ethan as the paramedics put the severed finger in an ice cooler. He looked over when he heard more paramedics and saw Barnabas being wheeled into the other ambulance. So Han had a change of heart. Hearing his name called out, the detective moved his dark blue eyes to see the Korean running towards him. He still had that soft glow, it must've been Sang-Min still. " He didn't attack you, did he?" he asked while looking over the man. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

✻ ✺ ✹ ✴Sang-Min Lock Han✸ ✷ ✶ ✵ Unlike Lock, Sang-Min found it very easy to lie to the tall Austrian. " He tried to," breathed Sang-Min, rubbing the back of his neck as if to remove the tense muscles. " I couldn't even hold the gun straight. In all honesty, I was trying to aim for his head. Ended up shaking so badly that I shot other places." He sighed shakily, looking up at Fredrich. " Don't tell Magnus how low I almost got. If he finds out that I ever even had the thought to kill someone-" He stopped himself, not wanting to think about it.

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich stared at Sang-Min for an uncomfortably long time. It was that interrogative gaze that looked at every single detail, searching for the truth. After a while, he looked away and back at Ethan. " Considering what you went through, it's natural to feel that urge." He looked at Sang-Min again, something flashing in his cold eyes. " I'm going to get back home. Ellery and I will check up on Ethan and Barnabas later." He nodded his goodbye then moved to the other ambulance to check on the author. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

✻ ✺ ✹ ✴Sang-Min Lock Han✸ ✷ ✶ ✵ " Can you tell me what all happened when you do?" he asked, looking back up at Fredrich with gentle eyes that seemed to be returning to normal slowly. " I never remember what happens to me when I'm like this, when I'm Sang-Min. Sometimes it's both a blessing and a curse, like when I was kidnapped by Barnabas the first time. I'm not sure I want my other side to ever know that feeling of helplessness." After Fredrich left, Sang-Min got into the ambulance to sit beside Magnus, setting a hand on his arm. " Don't worry," he whispered. " He won't get away with this completely."

Kenshin Yamada Kenshin knocked on the door to Ryuu's apartment. He had been thinking the entire day after his phone call. Ryuu threatened Bae for getting close to him. Was this because of their rivalry? As far as he knew, Ken was the only one in his band that despised every person in BLAckJAck (except Bae). Did something happen to Ryuu to make him hate them as much? Ryoichi Kimura

Bae Bae walked out of the elevator, running a hand over his freshly de-eared hair, before letting his long legs carry him over to Kenshin just as he knocked on the door. "You sure this is a good idea? Confronting him, I mean." He'd expected a phone call, not an actual, physical confrontation.

Kenshin Yamada "You were the one that wanted me to." scowled Ken. He looked at Bae. "It'll be okay. Ryuu gets defensive, but he doesn't pull any punches when people argue with him. If anything, we'll surprise him and put him on the spot so he can't lie." Just as he finished talking, the door clicked open to show the tall bluehead. "Ken." Ryuu blinked in pleasant surprise. He was about to relax and smile until he noticed the lumbering giant besides the singer. He gave the two a wary look before Ken spoke up. "Ryuu," he said in a stern tone that was completely different from his usual cranky tone. "Why did you confront Bae?" Ryuu was silent for a moment. "I don't know what you-" "Cut the crap, Ryuu! You've been acting weird all week, and now I hear that you showed up to Bae's place and threatened him over our relationship?" The blue-haired man settled. "Anyone else in the right mind would do the same thing. You're dating one of the members of the band you hate more than anything." Ken hesitated, having expecting this to be thrown in his face long ago. "Yeah..." he admitted and glanced to the side, then at Bae. "But... Bae's different. I... love him." Something in that simple explanation made Ryuu snap. "You can't be serious!" he growled. "Him? Do you even remember what he looked like? You think surgery could honestly hide what he was?" Even now when Ryuu looked at Bae he gave him the same disgusted stare as when he was in school. "He doesn't even deserve you. All he does is swoon over someone he doesn't have and take you as a consolation prize! You could do so much better, Ken! You could-" Ryoichi Kimura

Bae "That's enough." Bae exhaled through his nose, his headache getting much worse now that he was being insulted more than he'd been all week. Ryuu probably hated him more than any of his anti-fans. "He deserves better, huh? What, like you?" He gestured to Ryuu's whole body. "You, who puts more attention into hating me than caring for him? I'm not a huge fan of you either, but at least I care enough about Ken not to constantly complain about you." He paused, then looked down to Ken. "I won't stand here and be abused. I'm going to wait by the elevator. Yell if you need me." Leaning down, he placed a short kiss to Kenshin's temple, then turned and walked towards the elevator.

Kenshin Yamada Ryuu glowered at Bae as he added to the conversation. He clenched his jaw at the kiss and watched the man leave, more than sure that kiss was to spite him. "Ryuu." The man turned after some time to see Ken looking at him seriously. "Is what he said true? Do you think you would do better in his place?" Ryuu was uncomfortably silent, though he felt like his heartbeat could be heard from miles away. This was the worst way he ever wanted to confess, but it wasn't like he could lie under that stare. "I know I could do so much better." he finally said, making Ken roll his eyes. He took a step forward and waved a hand towards the elevator. "All you've done is hurt when he's involved! Now you're sleeping with him? For what, to rekindle your old fire? It'll only end in pain, Ken, and I can't stand seeing that from you." He gingerly set his hands on the singer's shoulders, giving him a desperate smile. "I can make you happy, Ken. Everything we've done together, all our success and work, it was all us, not you and Bae. Give me a chance, let me lo-" Before he could finish, Ken punched him in the stomach. "Shut the hell up!" he snarled as Ryuu doubled over. "Listen to me! I've been in love with Bae for years, and you know that! I love him, and now that I know how he feels I'm not letting him go just because you think you can do better!" He placed his hands on his knees so he could be eye level with the gasping blue-haired man. "Deep down you knew we never stood a chance, didn't you? Is that why you never told me and tried to threaten Bae instead?" He didn't wait for an answer. Instead, he straightened up. "I made this band for Bae. I won't hesitate to end it and what relationship we have if you ever try that sh-t again." Without waiting for Ryuu to say anything in his defense, the redhead turned and left to meet Bae. Bae Having been at the end of the hall, Bae only caught bits and pieces of the conversation. He knew that the blue-haired jerk had been punched in some way and that Ken wasn't happy with him, which fared well for the tall pop star. He pushed the down button as he heard footsteps approach him, turning a little to meet eyes with Kenshin. "So how'd it go?" he asked, hiding back a smirk.

Kenshin Yamada "I punched some sense into him." Ken said with his own smirk. He waited for the doors to close to speak up again. "He won't bother you again, I made sure of that."
Minutes after the two left Ryuu stormed into his apartment and slammed his door shut with enough force to shake nearby hanging pictures. He lost! Again! And to the same, undeserving... brat! Growling in frustration, Ryuu moved to the closest thing he saw and punched it, then he turned and threw his chair out of his sight. He could spend the entire day tearing this place up in a fit of rage, but it would get him nowhere. He'd still be alone with no one in his arms... only now he wouldn't have furniture. Ryuu fell onto his futon with a heavy sigh. What should he do now? He already tried to get rid of Bae personally, but he was just as intent on staying as Ken was. Speaking of, if Ken ever found out that he'd try something else he'd most definitely break up the band. Ryuu knew him long enough to know when he was serious, and he always is when it comes to Bae. Ryuu closed his eyes. He hated this. He didn't want to admit defeat, but what else could he do? Break up the BLAckJAck? Tell Ellery something? No, things like that wouldn't work. What he needed was a professional, someone that could get rid of the evidence for him, or to at least take the blow for him. Who would be as crazy enough to do that, though? Realizing that continuing to think about it would only succeed in making him frustrated, Ryuu turned on his laptop to browse the web. Maybe he could find something worth reading this time. His homepage filled with new articles of the day, and one of them mentioned the notorious assassin of the country named Nightingale. One of the people thought to have committed suicide the other day was actually killed by the assassin, discovered only because the victim's phone was found with the calling card virus on it. Ryuu stared at the article for a while. Nightingale. Assassin. A professional that could take the blow for him. In hindsight it wounded perfect, but... This was death he was talking about. Could he live with Ken's grief, knowing full well that it was him that paid for Bae's death? He wouldn't pull the trigger himself, but technically he still did. Could he live with that, with killing a person? Ryuu looked back at his phone, the wallpaper being Ken smiling at the camera. ... He won't accept defeat. Ryoichi Kimura

Ryoichi Kimura Ryuu spent the night in suspense, pacing around with a tense look on his face. He felt like he had blood on his hands, like he had just gotten finished killing someone. In a way, that's exactly what happened. Looking to his laptop, Ryuu strode across the room to check on it. It was opened on a torrent that securely sent him to the Deep Web, the dark side of the internet where people could stay out of the law's reach. Among the many forums of counterfeit how-to's or fake IDs was one particular topic that was popular. All it was labeled was "Nightingale", and should anyone click on it they'd instantly be given a black screen with only one question on it: "Who do you want assassinated?" It was the first time Ryuu had done something like this. Murder was extreme, part of him felt like it was going too far, but he was tired of losing to Bae. He was tired of having Ken dangled in front of him by someone that didn't appreciate him as much as they should. If the only way to win Kenshin was to kill the competition, then that's what he'd do. He had typed in the request hours ago. After it was typed the black screen disappeared and he was back on the forum listing. How did it work, he wondered. Would he be given a call? Some kind of feedback? Would the Nightingale even know who he was talking about? He was just about to get up to pace again until he noticed his screen flicker black. Ryuu quickly sat down, feeling breathless. The words were forming slowly, as if being typed. There were only two, too, and Ryuu read them over and over again. "Request denied". It must've been thirty minutes before Ryuu reacted again, and it was to lean back against his seat in pure disbelief, his eyes still not leaving the screen. His request was denied. A famous assassin that killed everyone wouldn't even take his case. Why? Why?! What did Bae have that protected him from even the Nightingale?! Yelling out in frustration, Ryuu grabbed the glass he had on the table and hurled it at the wall, watching it shatter into countless shards. This couldn't be happening. Every available plan he had was ruined. He couldn't threaten Bae, he couldn't convince Ken, and he couldn't even hire an assassin. Why? Why was everything against him and on Bae's side? What did that freak have that he didn't? Ryuu slumped forward in his seat, his face in his hands. This couldn't be happening.

Anthony Han ~~~ Anthony looked into the reflection of the mirrors in on the walls of the elevator, flufflng his blonde hair. He blinked several times, his blue eyes clear and eyelashes long. He even practiced a smile before taking his sunglasses off of his collar and sliding them into his hair. After smoothing down his shirt, he nodded. Finally, he looked perfect. Of course, there was slight bruising on his fist from attacking Ethan, but Ryoichi wouldn't be looking at that. At least, he hoped he wouldn't. Strutting down the hall, the stage actor raised his fist and confidently knocked on the door, feeling sheepish seconds too late. God, this shirt hung weird on him. It was too big! No it wasn't, he was just nervous. Why was he nervous? Who even knows? What if he's not even here? Anthony had to force his breathing to even out after he realized that Ryuu might not even be there. Clearing his throat, he forced himself to calm down. " Hello?" he called.
