Once he, Shira and the others entered the village, Atticus would be able to see what it looked like from within his blade. He would say nothing as oddly enough, this was nothing compared to the countless humans that he had slaughtered back in his dark past, but seeing this would make him think about those that he had killed and tortured. "Sadly, this is not the worst that the world has to offer, we can only help them so much. If they aren't strong enough in body and soul to keep on surviving after we are done here, then this cycle will continue on." Atticus said telepathically so that all of them could hear his thoughts, "The dead are never coming back, there is nothing you can do to save them from damnation, if they do not wish to be saved."

The sky continued to darken as the last traces of the orange sunset faded, leaving only a light streak of purple above the horizon to mark the sun still setting. Eric stopped by a strange pile of snow. He stooped down and reached into it, lifting something out of the snow. It took a moment for him to realize he was holding a frozen body. It seemed as if a man had been caught outside too long. He had clearly frozen in the cold, a frozen loaf of bread still clutched in his hand. "Looks like they've been reduced to scavenging what little food is left in the town," he said simply, letting go of the corpse, unceremoniously allowing it to fall face-down back into the snow.

He looked over at Shira. "Atticus is right. Even if we kill all the Kishin Eggs I don't know if there will be enough to last them through the rest of the winter." He looked around the town, considering Shira's idea. Their previous argument had been completely forgotten by Eric; for the life of him he couldn't understand what flaw she saw in his plan: despite his friendly demeanor, he had been forever changed by the arena and the experience of friendship was still strange to him, not yet extending beyond the individuals he knew personally.

"These Kishin Eggs could be anywhere. Until they come out they have the element of surprise," he said, quickly switching to his tactical mode, all emotions aside. "I say we're outnumbered no matter how you look at it. We might get cut off from each other. The only plan I can think of is to lure them out somehow. I think they're used to prey that runs and hides."

He looked up, looking for the highest points in the town. "So we give them what they want. One of the villagers would make an excellent..." He paused, realizing what Shira would think about that. "What I MEANT to say was that I think one of us would make excellent bait. We stand in a prominent position, making the choice of battlefield AND the element of surprise ours. Then when they come running out, we attack them from alternate sides. Hopefully we can take out a lot before they realize what's even happening."

Dara's eyes went wide when she looked out of the sword at the destruction and mayhem that had befallen the town. She fought back a sob when she saw a little doll covered in blood.
Dara composed herself as best she could and said," We have to do all we can to avenge these people, no one deserves to die like this especially not little children."

"I will be the bait." Atticus said as he spoke up, "Of all of us here, I think that I am the most qualified and suited to be the bait. Shira, you know my track record and what I can do. My endurance and stamina is well above all of you here, including you, Rai. So I will be able to fight off as many as it will take to help you all out." he said as he knew what Shira would say, but continued to speak, "My power is that of Kings, I do not know the meaning of the word defeat."
