Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Music in My Head I think I'll be Watching You Calvin smiled and shook his head at Riley's semi-protest. "Why not? I'm sure you could carry it," he teased, acting like she hurt him and flinching back with a grin when she punched his arm. Of course, with her mere human strength it didn't really hurt...but still, it was funny, the big bad wolf being beaten up by Little Red Riding Hood. Or, well, something like that.
Enjoying his ice cream, Calvin's shoulders shook as he silently laughed at Riley cleaning off an extra drip from the side of his lips but otherwise he stayed still. He smiled back at her, eyes amused as he continued eating. "Not fair, anything I can do back would seem weird," the teen jokingly complained after he swallowed his current mouthful, chuckling at the end. "Maybe not. Let's see..." Acting like he was debating what to do to Riley in retaliation, Calvin snagged a bite of her ice cream while he thought, eyes glued to her perky nose. With that came a thought, a quick dab and poke...and the girl would find the tip of her nose sliding off with something cold. Grinning, Calvin leaned over and kissed it, licking the ice cream off quickly and gently, grinning at Riley as he sat back down with a wink. "Mm, you taste good."
They finished their ice cream and head out, Calvin moving his hand to lock through Riley's fingers, the long sitting having bothered his hip and stiffened his leg...but he was with her, so didn't care, and was glad he got to take her out and get Riley to laugh a bit. He wanted her happy, having fun; he didn't think she would be the type of person who should deal with the crap he had to. And had been. He had found his little bit of Heaven in the Hell Calvin felt his life had become since he'd gotten bit. And he would try to keep it, fingers wrapped around the girl's hand and his head down on top of hers, raising their clasped hands to run a finger down a cheek before gently kissing her hair. "So soft, and smells so good..." he murmured, tone content as Calvin lowered fine eyelashes a bit, but without completely closing his eyes. They kept walking, this time towards the piers again, especially since Calvin had noticed the lack of his phone; would be a touch problematic, without it. But, he DID worry that the memories would be too fresh, the pain in his hip reminding Calvin that someone had know what he was, somehow. Had known, and tried to kill him. Wouldn't they try again, seeing him with Riley? He felt hesitant about talking to her about it, but Riley could probably pick up on Calvin's tension as he fell into thought, absently rubbing his thumb against her hand. Riley grinned with amusement clear on her face as she watched Calvin's reaction. Continuing to her ice cream, scoop by scoop as she stuck her tongue out at him. Of course she was just teasing him and being playful, never really in a rude manner. Well, it all depends on what you do really. She said in a calm tone. Her lips curved into a smile, raising an eyebrow as she wondered what Calvin was thinking of doing. Before she realized it, her boyfriend had stolen a bite of her ice cream. She felt something cold on her face and scrunched her nose, then noticing ice cream was on her nose. She looked down at her nose, causing her eyes to go cross eyed a bit. It didn't matter though, because just as quickly as it happened Calvin kissed/licked it off of her nose. She grinned again, crossing her arms after setting the empty blizzard cup down with a satisfied stomach and taste buds. Wouldn't have been the first time you've told me that. She said with a flirty grin and a wink back.
After they were done and headed outside of the parlor, their hands instantly finding the other and intertwining their fingers together. Enjoying their closeness, their shoulders every few seconds brushing against the other. She smiled at his compliment, finding it a little amusing remembering how his senses were enhanced. She had taken a shower this morning... Her mother made her in all honesty. She was a mess and didn't feel like doing anything but her parents convinced her to do otherwise. It took her a minute or two to realize where they were now. On the beach, about 15 yards from the pier. Her hand tightened around his a bit, her shoulders tensing as the memories of the previous night came flooding back into her mind. She could feel Calvin tensing up as well beside her. The air was eerily quiet except for the crashing sound of the waves on the shore. She didn't know whether to bring anything up or not.. No, she wouldn't.. Tonight was too perfect with him and she wasn't going to ruin it by bringing up dreadful memories that were all too fresh.

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Music in My Head I think I'll be Watching You Feeling Riley tense, as well as her heart rate rise along with her breathing, and hearing those signs of stress, Calvin made himself relax. Sliding his hand out from hers, Calvin ran it around the girl's waist and pulled her close to his warm body, his head on top of hers. His other hand crossed in front of him to lightly squeeze her arm...oh so gently, like a dove's wing...and rub up and down almost like he was petting her. But to be reassuring, the move innocent and caring. Nothing needed to be said, Calvin's pained walk and their somber silence more than enough proof of the situation they shared.
Kissing the top of her head, Calvin looked up and saw his car. Smiling to himself, he took a few more steps like that with Riley, before suddenly placing both hands around her waist. Making sure it seemed natural, Calvin bent just slightly, boosting the girl over his head to his back. Fingers tight and as immovable as metal, but with a touch like velvet, Calvin kept Riley on his back and steady with his hands just a few inches up her thighs from the girl's knees. An impersonal touch, meant to steady, not excite. A pleasant rumble came from Calvin, vibrating over his body and through Riley's where she was pressed against him, almost like a barely-heard purr. Or a constant, light and comforting growl, as wolves didn't purr. A warm sound, not everything dark and bestial about the change.
Walking that way the rest of the distance to the car, Calvin carefully moved so Riley would still stay stable up on his back, and rummaged in his pocket for the keys. Unlocking the door and warning Riley to watch her head, Calvin leaned down just enough to get her board and stuff from the back seat of his car, stepping back and standing straighter as he closed the door. Tucking his arms under Riley's knees, Calvin carried the stuff and walked confidently down the beach with the girl on his back. He hadn't thought of it this way, but with her so close to him, they couldn't really risk a really life-threatening shot to him. Even if Calvin's limp...greater with Riley on his back although Calvin didn't say anything, make any sounds aside from the subliminal rumble vibrating up and down between their bodies...gave him away, there wouldn't be anything they could do. Calvin hadn't put Riley up there for that purpose, although once he realized it could help he gave a sort of choked laugh, a snort at his own unconscious strategy. Riley's shoulders relaxed quite a bit, feeling Calvin's strong warm hands glide across her side to her lower back. He was gentle, like always, she was grateful of that. Her hands simultaneously slid around his waist as well where her hands clasped together. As she laid her head against his chest, hearing the faint sound of his heart beat.. Feeling his chest rise and fall with each calm breathe made her a bit at ease. The previous feelings of the recent events seemed to slip away, though still lingering in her mind, and it pained her in her gut. She nuzzled his chest, tightening her hold on him ever so slightly.
She lifted her head for a moment to feel the movement of his hands move along her body where they now laid at her waist in a firm handling. Before she knew it, Calvin had placed her on his back. She was going to protest though, finding it wouldn't help his hip in the very least. As a matter of fact probably worse. Not having a choice on how much she was tightly and closely pressed to the back of Calvin's body, she wrapped her arms loosely around his neck to where her hands laid lazily just below his shoulders. She smiled just the smallest, wondering what the faint vibrating pulse came from Calvin was about. As she could quite well feel it along her body. Quite frankly it gave her goose bumps.
While Calvin bent down a bit to search for his keys, she held onto his shoulders in the slightest just so she wouldn't fall. When he warned her, she nodded her head and ducked, laying the top of her head against Calvin's back just below his neck. She took her board from his hand, just so he didn't have as many items to carry and make sure didn't fall. She was already not in favor of her on his back. But in the same concept she enjoyed being this close to him. Hearing him chuckle, Riley could do nothing but looked confused and looked at his face from the side. What's so funny? She asked him quizzically.

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Music in My Head I think I'll be Watching You Calvin thought about how to answer, rubbing his cheek along Riley's to let her know he was just thinking and not going to stay silent. Would be good if she understood, since Calvin was taking his own sweet time, debating how to mention the painful incident in a harmless manner. So it took a while before Calvin spoke. "If people thought I was trying to harm you, they would think ill of me. And in thinking ill of me, would see my actions in that negative light. It just crossed my mind that it's not likely I could get shot at again, if people were concerned for your safety. At least, not seriously. Because then the bullet or whatever might hit you. But I didn't think of that when I pulled you up on my back...and whoever doesn't like me and thinks I'm trying to kidnap you would probably assume that that was my intent from the start." Calvin shook his head with another snort, the smooth rumble gone as he used his breath to speak. "I'm not that strategic, so even as they hate me they'd pay me a compliment assuming I was." With that explanation, Calvin stayed silent for some more time as they approached the rocks where everything had happened.
Letting Riley down, carefully, on the rocks Calvin turned and hauled himself up next to her. He just turned his back, put his hands up on the rock, and pushed... Hesto presto, he was up and cuddling with Riley again, injured leg awkwardly off to the side and the girl on his good lap. Arms wrapped around her shoulders and moving almost like a shirt down in a V, Calvin tucked his face in Riley's hair and just rested like that for a moment, relaxing and calming down with her proximity, the girl's sweet scent filling his nose and mind. In fact, it would almost seem like Calvin was asleep, he was so relaxed, breathing deep and pale eyes closed. But he was wide awake, actually listening to the crashing waves and air around them...and for incoming footsteps, in case someone tried to attack him again. Her body went a bit cold as they came to the rocks. Horrible flashes and memories flooding back into her mind. As she sat on a large flat rock Calvin set her down upon, she brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Now, as she was sitting on her charming boyfriend's lap, she laid her head against his chest and snuggled close with him. Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Music in My Head I want this to be The Last Night you spend alone Nodding to let Riley know he was listening and agreed to the problem with understanding, Calvin frowned slightly at her words. Family legacy? Her parents were Hunters?? Oh. Talk about a bother. Calvin followed that thought, based off her quiet wish that the boy squeezed her for, and had to snort. "No kidding. Can you imagine trying to introduce me, if you're expected to follow in their footsteps?" he asked, voice dry, just a touch amused. But more bitter than amused, frustrated and hurt...angry. Wasn't like he had ASKED to be bitten, and now apparently the one thing her parents absolutely would NOT let her daughter date...despite it being her choice to stay with him despite what she had seen so far...Calvin could recognize the irony of needing to meet them to get their approval. And never being able to get it, as the self he was now.
Expression solemn, Calvin just kept Riley in his arms, rocking her like to comfort a child. He was warm, his heat keeping away the cooling wind as night fell over their heads in a dive towards the ocean before their eyes. Brown and pale blue-grey looked out, seeing different memories over the top of the idle scene that would otherwise be sweet and perfect but was tainted with the night before. But Calvin had chosen that spot in an attempt to erase the confusion, the pain...the fear...from their association. Make it a good spot, for them to be happy together.
Able to tell Riley wasn't relaxing, Calvin gave he a light kiss on the cheek and moved his arms from around her shoulders. He brought them back, long-fingered hands resting on her shoulders at the base of her neck. After a wild moment of wonder at how easy it would be to break Riley's neck, Calvin shook his head and gently began to give the girl a bit of a massage. It wasn't exceedingly good or anything, just a constant synchronized rubbing and light squeezing, but Calvin kept at it until he could feel Riley relax. Then the low 'purr'...for lack of a better term, not harsh or loud enough to be a true growl...started again. It traveled through Calvin's hands down into Riley's skin and muscles, turning his rubbings into a sort of vibrating massage. Riley's eyes traveled down to the rock below her. Trying to set her focus on something else. To no prevail, Calvin started to talk again as she turned her head slightly to look at him while he spoke. One think I could not imagine would be to be like them... And as for introducing you, I'm positive they didn't see your face or actual physique..change. I think they only obtained a silhouette. She spoke in an optimistic tone, clasping her hands in her lap as she did. Hearing the very words come out of her mouth made her realize it very well could be true, or a better chance at being so. They could only hope..
While Calvin rocked her, she objected to nothing. The air around them was starting to settle in a calm and relaxing matter. Despite the fact that recent memories still tainted the area. Riley did her best to forget them or dismiss them, but with ones such as that, how was it not hard to? When night was starting to come, she shivered from the ocean breeze that rolled off the surface of the water onto land. But clearly, she was grateful Calvin was so warm. Most likely a werewolf thing..Starting to feel content, she dropped her shoulders that she just realized were tight, and closed her eyes exhaling deeply.
Her eyes flashed open however when Calvin removed his arms from around her shoulders. Oh so close to questioning why before his hands rested on her shoulder. She paused, trying to figure out what he was doing. Her head lolled to the side then down, pulling her hair to one side with her hand. Mmm... She moaned softly in a content tone. The back of her neck fully exposed to him now with her hair pulled aside as to not get in the way. Her body loosening up, drooping in a rag doll type way, before once again the vibrating feeling came back and gave her another set of goose bumps.

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Music in My Head I want this to be The Last Night you spend alone Calvin could tell Riley was enjoying the massage, and could sense with a heightened awareness that upped his own enjoyment of their closeness that it also scared her. His low, not-quite growl deepened, more of a rumble now instead of a mere vibration as Calvin let his head fall towards Riley's neck. He took a deep inhale, hands never stopping their motion, Riley's heart's pounding adding warmth through her body and making her scent that much stronger. Tinged with the sour-spicy scent of fear, tantalizing, exciting...
Calvin nuzzled Riley's neck, giving it a tongue-tip lick, teeth gripping the skin without yet breaking the skin. Calvin's jaw tensed, and he had a moment to realize that his hands had gripped Riley's shoulders. Not to comfort, but to trap, keep her there...her neck, under his teeth. So simple, bit down and taste the hot pulse... Silver eyes widened, Calvin wanting to smack himself for his stupidity, but also not daring to move. The growl still ran through his teeth into her skin, a primal sound of danger, but not growing louder, just changing along with his breathing. A heartbeat...then four... Minutes passed, and the tense silence was broken by a sudden sound of Beethoven's Ode To Joy, but it was different. Calvin jerked back after making sure his teeth were clear of Riley's skin, and took a deep breath. He stared up at the sky and waited until he was back to 'normal' again as the funky music from Clockwork Orange, a movie that he hadn't seen but liked the song from, played from Calvin's phone in the sand. Hands away from her shoulders, Calvin leaned back away from her, face covered at what he had almost done.
Wanted to do.
"Don't....do that again, okay?" he whispered, working on controlling himself as the inner monster demanded blood. Calvin hadn't sated that side of him for some time, the hunting of the night before needed to heal, all the extra energy used up to get him even as far as he was. And fear excited the beast, excited him... Calvin was glad he wasn't into skin-tight pants, as that'd have been extremely...uncomfortable...for a while. Breathing slowly through his mouth so as not to smell Riley as much, Calvin left it up to her how to react. "I haven't...hunted...in a while..." he finally explained, remembering Riley would need to know what was happening. "I feel...relaxed, around you. Not as uptight...the back of the neck is a key spot to attack, break for a clean death. I wasn't paying attention, lost the, the...monster, beast...for a moment. Sorry..." Calvin took a deep breath, sitting back up and looking between his fingers at Riley with silver eyes. "Close to, t-to the moon, doesn't help..." He gave a shiver, a tremor going through his whole body and hurting his leg. Wincing, Calvin sighed, closed his eyes, and opened their normal paleness again. "I'm...better...now." Riley opened her eyes with a hint of curiosity. Her eyes looked to the side, seeing if she could see Calvin's face almost, because his"growl" was incredibly deep now, and didn't know what was happening. She could feel his hot breathe at the bottom of the back of her neck.
Riley let out a deep exhale, her heart starting to quicken after her boyfriend nuzzled the back of her neck and gripped her neck with his teeth. Then his hands stiffen, tightening, tightening, until when she tried to sit up, she couldn't. Calvin had her locked in place and to be honest, it was a little more dominant and tight than she would have liked. This is when she decided to speak up some. C-Calvin...? She stuttered a bit, almost a tad nervous at what was happening as he remained in that same place. The growl sounding more animal as it danced across the whole backside of her neck. When the sound of Calvin's cellphone went off, she jumped a bit then as Calvin abruptly let go of her she let out a loud exhale. She hadn't realized the whole time she had been holding her breathe. She instinctively raised a hand to her chest, trying to calm herself.
She turned at the waist, so she could look at Calvin now. She could barely hear what he said, but she was capable of hearing it given the dead silence despite the ringing of Calvin's phone; which was muffled by her ears. She could practically her hear her throbbing inside of her head. While he spoke, the actions that were just performed by him made a lot of sense, she just wished he could control it more. But she didn't blame him. I'm sorry. She said in a soft voice then noticed his stunning silver eyes looking at her.. She frowned, wishing she could've done something to help, when all she did was spark that hunger interest in Calvin's mind...And stomach. Grinning like the obsessed fool he was, Calvin made a play growl as he lunged to wrap his arms around Riley, only to have her grinning at him from a few feet away from the rocks. The smile left, though, at the mention of the football team. Boys, rough housing....competition. Scowling slightly with just his brows, Calvin started to shake his head but hesitated. After all, it wasn't like he could cast stones, being the monster and all....maybe, some of the jocks were decent people? That, and Riley looked so hopeful, practically begging Calvin with her entreating eyes...
Or maybe it was just Calvin wishing Riley really wanted him to come THAT badly, the boy giving her an equally white grin back to her smile. "I will see what I can do so that I'm not an embarrassment or anything," he said, striding awkwardly forward from the long sit to gently grab Riley's hands into his own, sliding them around his waist again. "I'm fine," he whispered to her, knowing the time before might make her nervous, letting Riley set the pace of affection. "I will hunt some extra, so that the beast isn't as.....skittish?" Sounding uncertain, Calvin shivered as if cold although his temperature was still abnormally high for the average human. Hugging Riley, clinging to her really as if afraid, the young man made himself let go with a nervous chuckle. "well, anyways, I will hunt extra so I can be more normal." Kissing Riley's forehead and chucking her chin, Calvin moved and worked on loosening his tight muscles on his aching hip, going through the breathing again. "Are you sure you don't want a ride? It's my left hip that's busted, not my right... Or, maybe I should just have YOU drive, and then you can meet my parents. Without having to talk to them too much?" he suggested with a nonchalant shrug. I currently have... loose blue jeans with a white button-up long-sleeved shirt tucked inside, top three buttons undone and sleeves rolled. White sneakers, golden cross, and the hematite/magnet bracelet still on his wrist. Backup sunglasses somewhere, keys phone and silver cross in a pocketOut of Caramel

Riley's expression fell when Calvin scowled and shook his head. She was really hoping for him to go. Scott, the one who was throwing it, was practically her best friend since the second grade. So of course she was going, but she was really hoping her boyfriend too. She knew she was asking quite a bit for him to go, considering his past experiences with the football players. But those ones weren't even invited to go because they were too big of assholes.
Then, her bright white grin stretched across her face when he made his way over to her and said he'd come. Oh you're not an embarrassment. She said then needed no guidance to glide her hands gently around his waist. She hugged him tightly to her, enjoying his musky smell. It was like a comfort smell, something that calmed her. And she had to admit she was a bit nervous before, but everything was alright now. So she had nothing to worry about, right? Feeling him shiver against her, knowing he didn't like that idea as she gently ran her hand up and down the lower part of his back. She kissed his collarbone before he was able to pull away as she hooked her thumbs in her front pockets. Would you like me to drive you home? I have no problem with that. At the mention of meeting and talking to his parents, Riley shifted on her feet. Do you think they'll even like me...? She questioned him sheepishly looking up at Calvin's face.

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Music in My Head I want this to be The Last Night you spend alone Giving Riley a small sheepish smile, Calvin shrugged and gave a small chuckle ending in a sigh. "If you want to, although if you can't stay the night...which I wouldn't be surprised about...then they would want to drive you home. Don't worry," he told her in a soft voice, grabbing Riley's wrists to kiss the back of her hands. "They're nice folk, very open-minded...if a bit opinionated. Just be ready to be treated like family, and have them despair at ever getting you fattened up," he added with a despairing tone ruined by a wink. "Mama's tried on me, hasn't worked so far." Calvin laughed, eyes going distant as he looked towards the sea, expression growing serious as he thought of why NOW he was actually losing weight, little by little, since he couldn't eat more than he already did without raising any questions...
"I just haven't told them, about, you know..." Calvin sighed, forehead resting against the top of Riley's head as he held her close to him. "The werewolf thing. I...don't want to lose them. Don't want to scare them...don't want their rejection. They're very strong in their beliefs, and right now...I couldn't stand it if being a monster repulsed them more than they could stand. I wouldn't want to do that to them," he said, Calvin's voice low and quiet with his worry and concern, giving Riley an almost desperate...but still careful...squeeze as if he was the child needing comfort. Taking a deep breath, Calvin made himself smile at Riley, eyes still seeming a bit haunted but his expression was warm. "Up to you, I'm sure they would LOVE you....if nothing else, try to marry us since you're the first girl really interested in me," the teen chuckled, highly amused with his family, expression going soft as he thought about his parents. Ruined by a snort and dry shake of his head as he thought about a few memories. "I'm sure you all will get along fine, don't worry about it okay?" Calvin asked, smiling at Riley and chucking her chin again before leaning in for a kiss, trying to ignore how he was feeling a few feet lower than Riley's meeting his lips.
