The last thing the chieftain wanted or needed was advice, however much sense it made, from Shikoba Len. She continued to look away from him, teeth grinding together, fists shaking at her sides, though her whole body was trembling ever so slightly. His voice grated at her. Mocked her. Telling her what she should do to try and calm down? Blood. She needed more. Revenge. More. More of everything to fill this emptiness inside of her. That's what would finally satisfy her. Not breathing.
"Do not tell me what to do." Her voice hissed, and she found that she wished she could attack him. Surely that would satisfy this craving, this desire to fill the void. It would be so easy to do so, really. How many times had they fought in the past? Of course, now really was not the time or the place to do so, but her judgement was clouded, nearly blinded by her hatred of everything that ever gave her reason to resent them.
Shik was probably just lucky at this point that she resented hunters more then she did him. Maybe if they hadn't made a start at working things out between them it would have been different.
She licked at her lips, slowly, jaw unclenching, before she spoke again. "I need more." Still not looking at him. Not wanting to see those displaced colors that should not be. The voices were gone, yes, but something much worse seemed to be taking control. Her voice came out almost as ragged as her breathing, her words still hot with anger.

The last of the Hunters fell, grasping his weapon, a lifeline, struggling to stand. The Famine soldiers descended upon him, claws and weapons brandished, shrieking, bloodlust in their eyes.
The screams of the surviving Hunter echoed through the hallway mixed with the sound of bone and skin messily tearing apart, one arm severed, ripped, the other danging by mere bits of sinew, blood splattered everywhere, in messy clusters. The screaming persisted until the fleshy glob of Human fell onto the ground, twitching a last few times before his eyes finally glossed over. What remained of his singular eye, the other ripped clean off the socket in the massacre, the quick torture to reap Fear.
Refreshed, the horsemen beckoned all the other Lost Clans initiates, hands- claws still drenched crimson, a toothy, feral smile playing on their lips. They wanted more.
And the Hunters were only more than happy to oblige as there was a loud rumble, the earth and overarching dome-like ceiling of the Lair shaking horrifically for a few moments. Silence.
Cracks began to form on the surface of the ceiling, visible even from the distance. Larger clusters of sandstone, clay, broke apart from above, dropping like infinite amounts of meteors onto the ground around them. Just before the group managed to take a good look at the state of the Lair, the ceiling - there was a louder crack -
- As five tonnes of sandstone and debris fell over of them.
OOC: PARTIAL CEILING CAVE IN - The formation above is literally collapsing in on your group, EVERYONE TAKES -10 damage. - If your HP hits 0, you DISSIPATE and end up back at the cavern entrance. Simply ICly rp this and ICly have your character navigate back here.

Everything was dark for a second, covered in a thick layer of sand. Several horsemen were pulling themselves out of the debris, navigating around the larger chunks of stone. Seconds later, a muffled, quieter crackle, something bursting outwards, to the side of them, showering everything once again in bits and pieces of sandstone.
Confusion at first -
- And then the telltale glow of weapons - not just a couple but an entire onslaught. Hunters, escaping from the prisoners, others accompanying them, attempting to navigate through the debris into the exit.
"This way!" A voice of a Hunter, their glowing weapon leading the charge. They scanned the area, moved forward, weapon raised on the offensive-
- Only to get stop dead in their tracks. They seemed surprised, as if something was in front in front of them, staring at an empty spot closer to the ceiling before they collapsed, body crumpling.
"Enough of this false hope." The ground rippled, changing hue and shape, an angry hissing volcanic pit dribbling lava underneath a single path. And at the far end, where the horsemen stood, the Head Priestess. "Do not forget that this is our domain, and we will not rest until our path has been fulfilled. Every time you Hunters move, try to struggle, we will be there, crushing your every single conception of mere hope."
Beneath everyone, the liquid fire heaved, hissed loudly, rising upwards. It seemed real, it felt real, the heat prickling, overbearing, bits and pieces of ash burning the skin as they rose upwards.
"My children," Medea turned around, taking the second to address the horsemen and Lost Clan initiates, "You will fight for yourselves, and for revenge, for your own path. I grant you my blessing, to show those Humans their place as miserable worms."
"s**t!" The Mist Hunter, one of the few who had lead the trainees out, pulled her unconscious comrade back from the worst of the chasm. Taking a second to wipe the ash and sweat away, she tapped her headset. "We have a huge problem here."
A crackle, and then a voice from the headset, for whomever was still wearing theirs. "Bide your time, we'll send a division leader down with their team as soon as they're available."
"Got it." The Hunter turned to the others, the trainees and Hunters gathered for the escape. "I want all available Moon and Life Hunters out here on the front rows now, please! Create a defensive barrier with your Fear shields. Life Hunters, keep Moon Hunters steady. We're gonna ride out the storm." She cracked her fists." If you're a Mist you're gonna help on the defensive. Actually I don't care who you are, everyone should be helping out."
"Such simple games." Medea stepped to one side, allowing the horsemen to move past her. The chasm shifted, the 'bridge' spanning across the lava turning into a firm, solid obsidian archway that barricaded most of the ash and heat. "Very well, I will entertain your false hope, we shall entertain your hope and from the despair gain an even greater Fear. Come children, there is nothing to be afraid of but the very concept of who we are."
OOC: ESCAPE PHASE 1 exclaim If you own a Horsemen OR Hunter and have not posted yet, you may still post, just read this rp prompt before moving on exclaim Hunters that have not posted are assumed to have been CAPTURED. HORSEMENTHE HUNTER BARRIER:- All horsemen are now attacking the DEFENSE (BARRIER). - The barrier's base HP is 100 HP. All Horsemen can attack up to 5 times. Once the barrier is broken, the GM will begin Phase 2. - PLEASE NOTE: the barrier fluctuates in HP. You will look at the TOTAL BARRIER HP of the person's post above you. The first thing you should edit before you do ANY RPING AS A COURTESY TO OTHER PLAYERS IS THE BARRIER'S CURRENT HP. Hunters will try to HEAL + STACK the barrier AS WELL AS Horsemen trying to tear it apart. It is important you look at the TOTAL BARRIER HP of the person above you regardless of which faction they are in. - Thanks to Medea's "blessing", all Clan's members HP values are full again. You feel stronger as well while in her illusion, AND in the Lair, the part closest to the Fear storage. Your attack has NO DAMAGE MODIFIER (do not - 6). If you roll two of the SAME DICE, you do critical damage (x2 damage). - You may use Fear attacks, distortion bonus effects can be used, EXCEPT its side effect is entirely nullified by Medea's illusion (ie: the mirror image ver) - At the bottom of your post EACH TIME unless rp-only post post your total damage done this round, as well as the total HP of the barrier, edited immediately right after you roll.
HUNTERS- IF YOU ARE MOON, MIST OR LIFE. You are the PRIORITY DEFENSE. You need to defend yourself, others, and ride out the illusion until help comes. Check below for division specific buffs. All divisions should be HELPING the DEFENSIVE. RIGHT NOW, your barrier has 100 HP. The goal of this "stakeout" is to make sure the barrier is MAINTAINED (does not drop to 0). This goes for all Hunter players. - PLEASE NOTE: the barrier fluctuates in HP. You will look at the TOTAL BARRIER HP of the person's post above you. The first thing you should edit before you do ANY RPING AS A COURTESY TO OTHER PLAYERS IS THE BARRIER'S HP. Hunters will try to HEAL + STACK the barrier AS WELL AS Horsemen trying to tear it apart. It is important you look at the TOTAL BARRIER HP of the person above you regardless of which faction they are in. - You make take 5 turns to do whatever action you need (see below). - At the bottom of your post EACH TIME unless rp-only post post your total damage done this round, as well as the total HP of the barrier, edited immediately before your RP post. Defense stacking:- ALL PLAYERS CAN STACK DEFENSE. Roll regular defense rolls as listed HERE. Add this to the HP of the barrier, regardless of what HP it is. - When stacking, make sure that you change the TOTAL HP OF THE BARRIER, at the bottom of the post. Eg: If the barrier is at 100 Hp, and you roll 12, the barrier is now at 112 HP. - There are also additional division specific buffs. PLEASE NOTE: ALL BUFFS if you are using them COUNT AS A TURN UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE. Moon buff: - Moon Hunters get a DEFENSE BONUS. Beginning trainess can roll 2d6 (no modifier), Intermediate 2d8 and full Hunters 2d10 INSTEAD of the usual dice rolls. You can do this 5 times instead of rolling defense normally. Life buff: - Life Hunters can GRANT MOON HUNTERS extra turns. Quote a Moon Hunter. Roll 1d6. This is the amount of additional turns a Moon Hunter gets. You can only do this once as this takes up one of your turns. After that roll defensively as normal (see above for reg defensive rolls). Death buff: - You can forfeit your defense roll and roll again (the REROLL does not count as a turn). (So in theory for every of the 5 defense rolls you make, you can roll again) Sun buff: - While there seems little to do for an offensive team, you can STACK DEBRIS around you as well, creating a natural defense. Roll 1d4. This is the additional defense you do by stacking debris for the next 4 turns (this COUNTS as a turn). So you use this as one turn, and the next 4 turns you will stack that buff on to you and roll normally for defense. Mist buff:- Choose ANY of the buffs above. Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd, this buff is successful, if even, it fails. If your roll fails, it does not count as a turn, but you need to immediately proceed with stacking defense normally (regular defending) without a buff. If it succeeds, proceed accordingly with buff.
EXAMPLE ROUNDS - ** THE BARRIER STARTS AT 100 HP** - Steve the horsemen is a starting horsemen. They roll 2d8. The roll 4, 4= 8. Two dice rolls that are the same is a CRIT! They do 16 total damage. They immediate write in their total damage at the bottom of their post and the current barrier's HP: (at 84) right after their roll. Then they can edit their post to their leisure with RP content. He has now used up 1/5 action turns. - John the Hunter is an intermediate Moon Hunter. He rolls 2d8, as per his bonus. He rolls 3, 3. He has now added 6 DEFENSE ONTO the barrier. HE immediately edits his defense amount at the bottom of his post (6) and the current barrier's HP (at 90 now) right after his roll. Then they can edit their post to their leisure with RP content. He has now used up 1/5 action turns. - Mary the Life Hunter uses a turn to roll 1d6. She rolls a 2. She has granted John the Moon Hunter 2 extra turns. John now has 1/7 turns used. - Steve the student is a Y2 student. He rolls 2d8 and gets 2, 4. He also has +3 distortion carried over. He decides to use distortion +1. He now does 7 damage. The barrier is now at 83. - James the horsemen is using his fear attack, Swift Strikes! It does 21 damage! The barrier is now at 61 HP.

Medea was right. If there was anything to be afraid there, it should be the horsemen themselves: enraged, and eager to fight. Head priestess' blessing was sweet and handy: Eisheth wasn't feeling the overwhelming hatred any longer, like the effect of her fragment got lower. Instead, she started to see everything happening as an additional entertainment: they gathered to watch some hunter's gladiator fight originally, so why should they give up on entertaining themselves?
Today, right now, attacking the hunters barrier, - as may be never before, - she had faith in Medea and her words: every hope those humans might have is false, so all they had to do was just to take their time and enjoy.

By the time Ami had made it out to the battle field, she'd gained her legs back, albeit she couldn't walk very well. Having sat in that corner for so long, stuck in trance had left her weakened, muscles stiff.
Either way she managed to summon Junpei, but he was groaning in her ear just the same. He felt like water in her hands, but Ami couldn't tell if that was because of her, or because of the weapon
< I don't feel so good... >
Now's not the time Jumpy.
He didn't even bother to correct her.
Awkwardly, she set her eyes on Marcus and let go of Kat's grip. She could do this. She could stand by herself. She hobbled out to where Marcus was standing and held up her glaive helplessly. A rock grazed her glaive and Ami was taken back a step, her balance totally off kilter. "How are you, Marcus?" she said, standing beside him.
Turns Given to Marcus: 4 Barrier HP: 90
