Kimiko seemed to understand almost immediately after kidnapping had been brought to the table. "So it was them..." she noted looking off to the side in thought, talking to herself in a musing manner. "Maboroshi was right..." she looked back towards the four of them, still looking rather harmless. "But then, what are you guys doing all the way out here? I sent Phantom to dispatch the abduction wracket, and he sent a report saying that it was based out of the village called Rukon... could they actually have split the children up to various safe houses...?" she looked slightly grim at this. "That's not good...if that's the case then they'll be able to get them over the border before..." she faded off before looking back towards them. "Thank you, this might end up being more helpeful than you realize. Are you all alright? You managed to escape on your own?"



Airi however, finally found her voice. "K-Kimiko-sensei..." the Anzan finally managed.

Kimiko gave a slight smile of recognition. "Hello, you were in one of my classes at the academy right? Nice to see you again!"

Airi felt very small standing before the older girl once again. she had actually been the one to teach Airi the clone technique...to give a great deal of advice when it came to following her path as a ninja...when she had heard about the business at the western gate during the reclamation, she had been afraid that something...must have changed about the girl...about the older Kunoichi she had looked up to...but she seemed exactly the same... "Um...yes, hello..." she seemed uncertain as to how to respond.



Tsuo was looking at Makoto as though he had lost his mind. Kimiko Momoe was barely human. Despite her young age, she had managed to bring about the slaughter at the western gate during the invasion, rumor said that between herself and her teammate "the nightmare of Oto" they may even have been able to take on a Knight of Forte. She was not someone who you just...just...chatted with! Was he honestly thinking that this girl wasn't about to incinerate them where they stood as soon as she found out he was an otobe?!

"Hey, wait, I know you." Kimiko pointed at Tsuo in recognition. "You're the heir of the Third House of the Otobe right?"

Tsuo froze looking pale. So, this was how it was all going to end...

Kimiko however, merely raised a brow at him looking slightly puzzled. "Um...is he okay...? He looks a little pale..." she gave a slight laugh. "From the other Otobe I've met I was kind of expected something like "Of course fool" or something like that." she turned her gaze to Iyou, and merely nodded. "A Yakushi...I've only met one of you once a long time ago. Pleasure to meet you miss..."



"Iyou...." was all the girl said.

"Iyou. Alright then." Kimiko put her hands on her hips looking more considering as she looked back to Makoto. "And yeah, of course I'll help you get back, but if what you say about their operation is true..." she looked deep in thought a moment longer. "I'll need to talk about this with Maboroshi... but don't worry, I'll still be glad to help you guys out." she assured with a smile. She formed a hand sign in front of her and both Tsuo and Iyou flinched slightly, only for the chakra that rose up around her to give a slight puff next to her, producing nothing but a identical copy of herself standing next to her.

"Here." She indicated the clone standing next to the true Kimiko. "This Clone her should be able to get you back to Oto safe and sound." She assured. "It has half my chakra, so you don't need to worry, it's more than capable of holding it's own, okay?"

Iyou was looking slightly amazed. So it was true. Kimiko Momoe had mastered one of the Hidden Leaf's Kinjutsu...a forbidden Ninjutsu. Rumor had it she had learned it from the sage Hatchi...but there was no solid confirmation of this... even so, from the chakra that she could feel coming even from the girl's shadow clone...her actual reserves must have been near insane...


Kimiko's shadow clone gave them a slight wave. "Hey there." it introduced contently.

The true Kimiko merely flashed them a smile. "Oh, but there is one thing you need to be careful of. There's a base near the end of the valley that we just recently discovered...we're not sure, but we think that it may belong to a very dangerous group of ninja working with the one's that I suspect abducted you. My clone here will stick with you, but even with my help, you'll probably want to stick clear of that place..." she frowned slightly. "after all...rumor has it that THAT guy, is there..."

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Doppelganger Technique)

Description: Unlike the normal Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Doppelganger), this Jutsu does not create illusions, but real bodies of the user. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone. This could be very dangerous if the user is low on chakra or makes too many clones: like with Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Multiple Shadow Clone Technique). Kage Bunshin can't be detected by Byakugan. This is because the clones are real bodies with real chakra circulatory systems, identical to the user. Though Uchiha members claim they could tell the difference, the real one also cannot be detected by the Sharingan. However, they can keep track of the original's movements. Because the clones are basically real, they can perform Jutsu and real damage on their target, and can take some hits themselves, being even able to bleed, although they'll still disappear when enough damage has been done, which is usually after one blow or fatal attack. Since the clones are exact replicas of the user, one can use them in combination with many other techniques.

To See Through Clones: 15 + d20 + 1/2 the user's int mod + half the user's chk mod vs. d20 + opponent's int. mod. Opponent will target the real ninja among the clones.

Kimiko examined the key, looking it over with a curious eye. "Hmm...this is one of those key's of their's alright." Kimiko handed it back to Makoto, giving a slight smile and a nod. "Those key's are used by the rebel's in order to get through alot of their secret tunnels and bases. I'll admit that this one looks a little bit different from the one's that phantom brought back for us, but it's alright. You keep it. You might be able to make some use of it right?" she gave the map the once over as well. "Oh, good, it has the location of the base. This is the one I mentioned." she handed the boy back the map. "Be sure to avoid it. And, while your at it, you'll want to be careful of the rest of the forest as well." she hinted towards her clone. "I'll be with to protect you, so it probably won't be any trouble, but we haven't really scouted much of the area this side of the river. This is as far as our patrols generally go." she turned around, giving a gesture to Mu'se, the giant snake giving a low hiss, but nodding, apparently adhering to her authority despite her not being his master. She was, after all, what was akin to the Master's "queen", and a formidable warrior on top of that. He would bow to her commands unless the master countermanded them.

As the giant snake slid back off through the tree's, vanishing into the thick of the forest, Kimiko turned back to them, still looking rather at ease. "Oh, and as for "THAT guy"..." she gave a slight sweat. "Well, I guess it;s not really so much that you'd have that much to worry about, not really being his enemies...but, well, have you ever heard of "The Last Laugh"...?" She folded her arms in front of her. "That's him. Kyojin Kotei." she looked a little irritated. "He's...dangerous."

((Let it be noted for the sake of posterity that this very statement made at the same time Kyojin was blowing out the prison wall.))

Kimiko's eyes suddenly widened in surprise, shimmering over with childish excitement. "An honorable duel!?"

"Yes my dear!!" Keisuke said to his little daughter, striking a heroic pose as the starry eyed little girl looked up at her papa, her own wooden sword in hand. "It's a true competition between two warriors! An honest clashing of hearts that shows one another the truth that words cannot possibly express!! It's a matter of honor! Of chivalry! Of REALLY COOL DIALOGUE!" Her father struck yet another pose, flexing his muscles. "So remember my dear, an honorable duel is absolutely one of the coolest things that a warrior can partake in!!

Little Kimiko immediately jumped for joy, running outside to play. Yet despite asking person after person, NO one wanted to accept her challenge. NO ONE accepted her offer to duel. She was just about to give up hope, only to quickly bump into the boy from the apartment complex next-door, the one with the big mouthed talking bird that always hung out on his shoulder. "Hey!" Kimiko had shouted brightly "I challenge you to an honorable duel!"

A young Xenon Maboroshi, looking rather taken aback by this, merely blinked. "....A duel...?"

"Yes!" the little Kimiko demanded, looking at wits ends. Great...another person who would just brush her off.

Xen, however, looked supremely amused. "Heh heh, interesting...alright."

Kimiko's face looked blank with surprise.


Until this day, no one besides Maboroshi had ever actually accepted one of her demands to duel...and now SHE was being challenged to an honorable duel...this was....SO COOL!

The little girl in the young woman seemed to come to the surface at this, Kimiko briefly taking after her father by striking a dramatic pose. "Heh," she accepted the boy's hand shake, resuming her more controlled countenance as she gave him a wide smile. "Well, I guess there's no way I could refuse such an earnest request. I accept your challenge." That said, the girl released his hand, taking a proper number of steps back. She gave another broad smile. "I'll let you have the first move then," she invited politely. "Show me what you can do."




Tsuo was watching with a look that was nothing short of flabberghast. Was he INSANE?! Challenging the Blazing Requiem to a SWORD fight?!! The Otobe heir gave an aggravated sigh, merely adjusting his glasses as he seemed to resign himself to his new acquaintance's imminent death. Well, he supposed that he HAD seemed like the reasonable sort. A shame to cut his life so quickly. The Otobe shurgged.




Airi was biting her nails looking panicked. "U-uh...but...Sir Makato! I really don't think this is such a good idea!! Kimiko-sensei is REALLY strong! Are you positive that this is such a good idea?!"




"Can I have your body after your dead....?" there was a slight pause. "....too soon?" she inquired.

Kimiko caught the wooden bokken with a seemingly effortless move, twirling it about slightly as she seemed to almost adapt a remincent expression. "Oh wow...a wooden sword. I haven't used one of these since I was learning the art from my Mom..." she slid into a deceptively casual pose. "Alright then." she raised her blade off to the side of her, taking the stance of a rather strange sword style.



Tsuo gave a slight frown. "That stance..." he said, watching as the girl held her sword arm off to the side, in a seemingly impractical manner. "That's one of the starting forms of the Broken Lotus...so it's true...this girl really is the Blazing Requiem...I understand that only she and few other swordsmen are even familiar with that style...Cousin Senkyoku uses it as well..."

Kimiko seemed to look slightly tickled at this. "Hn hn, that's right. Senkyo's a master of the sword too isn't he...We never really got the chance to fight when you guy's invaded." she seemed...oddly cheerful about it.

When Makoto made the first strike, Kimiko's body seemed to flow effortlessly around the wooden blade, her own seeming to vanish for the skill it was wielded with, her movements only detectable again as she delivered a sharp tap on the back of the head to her opponent, her foot work adjusting and danced back a step, facing his back and waiting for him to turn around. She still seemed rather cheerful. "Not bad," she said with a casual compliment. "You need to consider the range of your weapon a bit more though. Remember that the longer your blade, the more you broadcast your attacks. That was a great effort, but it's no good if your stroke is too obvious." the girl was clearly not trying in earnest, having just had the opening to finish the boy six times over, but she seemed to be more interested in teaching than defeating. Although, Kimiko's idea of a light tap, and other people's, were somewhat different...the "tap" was a shadow of the young girl's near herculean strength...

Swinging it, makoto’s eyes opened widely as he watched her as she effortlessly dodged the attack. She seemed to have disappeared in front of him, only to feel the tip of the wooden sword on the back of his head. Sweat started to pour down as he froze in fear, makoto was now certain that he had made a mistake with his challenge. Makoto’s vision went blurry as he nearly fell face first into the ground, dropping his sword to grab the ground. His vision… was is gone? No, it was not gone… just somewhat blinded. Sighing heavily, makoto took the nodachi back into his hand and smiled. Looking back and around for a moment, his vision had gone but he could still see the colors and somewhat simple shapes… the rest gave him a headache. Mumbling about his aching head, he listened to what Kimiko had to say before he started judging. Shaking his head with a smile on his face, makoto closed his eyes since his sight hurt his mind. Preparing for another attack, Makoto spoke to her with a kind smile. “ Thank you for the advice, and the literal headache… let’s see if I can do this without my eyes. “ Spoke makoto knowing he had no change on earth of hitting her and would make himself look like an idiot, so he was going to do the next best thing. He got into a defensive stance, ready to strike when she approached him.

Listening to her slight laugh, he answered her question the best he could. “ No… this is my first time trying it out. “ spoke makoto with honestly in his voice. But he watched her stride forward once more, but this time was different… this time his breath had disappeared from his lungs. A sharp pain grew on his chest, did she just take him out? Makoto closed his eyes in pain, he knew she was powerful… but now he knew just how much more. His vision was gone, her voice was fading… his breathing was harder then he thought. It felt like she broke a few bones in his ribs with that impact, making him collapse to his knees in a pain that he could not make via voice. But he dropped his wooden nodachi to the ground before his eyes rolled to the back of his head, his body falling to the ground… he was defeated.
