Akumi nodded. "It was little more than a telepathic communication, likely from someone within that mansion, and unless I'm wrong, that redheaded woman, Jean... she too is telepathic," he said thoughtfully. He took a deep breath, concentrating. Almost immediately, the prismatic aura swirled around his bare feet, crawling rapidly up his legs simultaneously as the same thing happened to his arms. It caused his normally pale skin to be replaced by the dark golden-bronze fur of his feline form.

"So now I have to worry about people reading my mind...." She watched him change into a cat and giggled "Your a Kitty cat again! So...ready to race?" She asked abit excited.

Akumi opened his now glowing green slitted eyes. "Ready when you are... though I'm not gonna go at my full speed... since in this form my speed seems to be much higher," he said quietly.

Twila nodded. "Ready....set....go!" She said and quickly flew twards the school.

Akumi leaned forward before shooting forward, his form slightly blurred as trailing flickers of prismatic energy sparked in the air, hissing slightly as they faded away. Within a few seconds he was even with Twila's knees and gaining. I'm not sure how fast I am in this form, but I'm tempted to find out, he thought. His eyes narrowed slightly, his claws lengthening ever so slightly from three-quarters of an inch to five-sixths of an inch simultaneously with his foot-paw claws. His slitted pupils widened slightly before he exhaled slowly, intertwining his fingers in front of him as he began pulling even and slightly ahead. He could feel an itching in his fingers and palms, but attributed it to wind resistance.

Twila knew he was going to win and smiled when he passed her. She slowed down when they got closer to the ground. Crashing wasn't one of her favorite ways to land on the ground and dirt wasn't really as soft as pillows.

Akumi flipped, skidding as he landed, glancing back at Twila as he did, a small smile flickering over his face before he heard the front door opening. In that moment, his bare, furry feet hit the steps in front of the door, tripping him up and catapulting him straight into the white haired woman from before, sending them both to the carpeted floor inside with an `Ooooofff` sound. "Damn.... I still don't know my powers in this form... it seems to have some energy projection abilities and superhuman speed...." Akumi muttered, feeling something both muscular and soft beneath him. "Interesting, though I don't see how you can change from human to a feline-human hybrid," an amused voice said, making him look up in surprise at the woman's deep blue eyes.

Twila landed on the ground and slowly walked up to the building. After watching Akumi trip on the steps she was careful. Her wings were pressed tightly to her back not wanting to accidently knock anything over.

Akumi scrambled off the woman. "I'm Ororo Munroe... welcome to the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning," she said with a smile as she got up; she was wearing normal dark blue jeans, white sneakers, and a forest green top. "I think the reason I tripped was too much momentum... I still don't know my limits in this feline form... nor, frankly, do I know how I got it in the first place, though I have a few ideas," Akumi said, embarrassed. "You can open your wings; Warren knows what it's like to have wings as well," Ororo said with a smile. "Do you want to clean up before we eat?" she said with a chuckle.

Twila nodded but didn't open her wings. "Clean up would be nice...." she replyed quietly.

Ororo smiled. "Then the bathrooms are down the hall to the left," she said as she pointed to the hallway to the left side of the curving twin staircases. "It's the second door to the right and the third to the left; it's kind of clear that neither of you would be too comfortable bathing in the same room," she teased. "I think Kitty and Evan should have clothes that would fit you two well enough; I will have them ready for when you get out of the showers," she said with a smile. Akumi cocked his head. He half turned before he heard an odd sound almost like a balloon popping before a kid with dark blue hair and blue fur, three fingers on each hand and foot, and a tail materialized behind him. He unconsciously spun, the prismatic aura flaring to life as his hand flashed out, stopping an inch from the startled kid's throat while his claws stopped so close to the kid's skin that he felt the slight pressure when Kurt gulped, his eyes wide. "Sorry about that... Jean mentioned we might have some new students and I wanted to," he said with a slight German accent. "Don't sneak up on me again," Akumi said softly, his voice barely above a whisper though an odd feline growl edged his voice as he turned away and walked towards the indicated bathrooms.

Twila jumped when the blue person. She titled her head to the side wondering how he appeared out of no where. "Too many people in one day...." twila muttered to herself not shure how she was gonna remember who was who. She quickly tried to find the bathroom before she met anyone else for a while.

Akumi sighed, walking a few paces ahead of Twila. Seems my senses are able to pick up air pressure shifts, allowing me to pick up on teleporters and those similar to them, he thought. He turned into the door on the left haded side of the wall, glancing back at Twila. "I hope I'm not the only one feeling a little uncomfortable at the moment," he said quietly, his tone gentle as he noticed Twila's tensed body language.

Twila looked at Akumi and forced a smile. "Nope your not the only one." She replyed then looked around. "And I have a bad feeling this place is gonna be a labyrinth of halls...."

Akumi exhaled slowly. "We'll stick together and watch each others' backs, that's all for the moment," he said quietly. "Besides... I think your family's a bunch of damned fools for casting you aside. You seem funny, intelligent, and gentle, if a little shy," he said with a faint smile before he slipped into the bathroom himself, closing the door behind him.
