Kurai grimmaced and gripped the railling tighter as he saw Seyla's faulty decision to release more power then she could handle. You stupid gurl... Dairus seemed to have no luck within keeping up a good enough defense or even get through to land an attack on Seyla anymore.
And as to make matters worse, some randomn stranger decided to come and bug him and call him by 'master' Kurai tried his best to ignore him as he tried to focus on the more important at hand. And then he suddenly brough over randomn Floating stars out of his sleeve to obscure Kurai's view. Kurai annoyingly shuffled away from the man as he began to rant on and talk to his 'stars'. Kurai concluded he was some vendor. Finally Kurai couldn't take it anymore and slapped the railing.
"Listen im not insterested in what you are selling!" KUrai groaned and walked back up the steps to grab Aldora's hand despite if she was ready or not. "Come on Aldora. I'm not going to watch any more of this nonsense..." Kurai groaned and shoved one hand up at his head and rubbed it angrily. "stupid Seyla... What does she think she is doing... i'm going to have to talk to her afterwards.." Kurai in truth didn't want to see Seyla get hurt and didn't want to see the outcome, knowing he couldn't heal her.

Naht's concentration on the star had been absolute, and he was carrying on a conversation with it while all this was going on. He seemed calm and at ease, even as the Pheonix was summoned, and when it attacked Naht looked up for a second, then back to his star and snatched it out of the air deftly, slipping it back into his coat. He turned to Kurai then and lifted an eyebrow, then shrugged. "Selling? I most certainly would not. These stars are, oddly, like my children. I would sooner kill them then sell them, Master Kurai." he said simply, then spun on his heel to keep watching the fight, once more climbing onto the railing and starting to play that harmonica again, despite the fact he had never grabbed it from anywhere. It merely..Appeared.

Did she want to admit that she couldn't call it back, only to frighten Darius even more? What was she to do? She had to call her back. She could hear Kurai's voice and his screams, but couldn't make out anything he was saying. He was mad at her, no he was enraged. She had to tame the beast.
Biting her already bloody lip, she concentrated as hard as she could, trying to draw the phoenix towards her. It was exhausting, she wished she could fall over and sleep. But she couldn't. This was her responsibility, and right now the fate, and life of this boy was in her hands.
The phoenix was racing towards her now, and away from Darius. She closed her eyes, afraid to look, not wanting to know what would happen if she failed. Would she live? Would she die? Would she ever get to say sorry? Thats all she could think about was this moment, absorbing this flame, so powerful, that she never knew she could summon.
Seyla could feel the heat, sweat poured down her body, every second seemed to pass in what seemed like days. A slow ticking clock counting down her demise. She started to scream, her brain telling her that she was feeling pain, that something was burning her, that she needed to get away. But she fought on refusing to step from that space.
There was a constant battle raging in her mind, one that was ever so evident at the current time. Between the signals of that glove, and her real mind, both fighting for dominance. Both seeking control. It was a battle that took the most out of Seyla, and unfortunately affected those who got close to her very much. Seyla had now found herself doing something she never thought she would be. She was praying, praying for forgiveness, for some sort of miracle to let her gain control, for both of them to make it out of this alive. Would this pain ever end?

"Seyla!" Darius yelled as he ran towards her, keeping the tiles with him.
He didn't know what was going on, but he had to protect Seyla from whatever it is that was attacking her. He ran up behind her and placed the tiles in front of her body. If he got hit, so be it, but he was not going to let Seyla fight the pheonix alone. That would be too much for him. He thought that if he could help in anyway to what Seyla was doing she'd be able to win.
"Keep fighting Seyla, just summon it back!"

It was a sudden shock and a pleasent surprise to feel the sudden rush of cool tile against her body, and her bare stomach. But why was Darius helping her?
"Get back Darius!" she shouted. He shouldn't be there, this was her responsibility not his! She opened her eyes once more and stared straight into the phoenix's, locking her gaze with the bird's. Her look was intense, a cold icy fire that was intent on extinguishing the Phoenix.
Seyla took in a deep breath of air, preparing to scream, but this time it was of a different tune. Words left her lips that she did not comprehend, nor did she understand how she knew them but as she spoke the flame summon was weakened, slowly growing smaller and smaller until there was nothing left.
She looked over to Darius, her face holding that of a look of shock, her clothes were soaked with her own blood, sweat, and tears. She felt like she could faint. But she had to keep fighting! She had to win!

Kurai wanted to run out of the arena, but the crowds murmurs and awes made Kurai stuck in his place, he could saftely assume Aldora had turned around to continue watch the battle. Kurai just stood there head down. The announcers voice boomed as they announced Dairus seemingly trying to help Seyla out. Kurai could hear that they already positioned medical workers just in case something wrong was happening. But they obviously placed the match over the students lives first.
stupid Seyla... Kurai groaned and was about to turn back. It was when Naht's words hit Kurai back to where he was. Kurai just let out an angry puff of air. "Whatever.." Kurai whispered under his breath. He was not exactly in the most sociable mood and hoped that the man could get the hint. He then continued to drag Aldora along with him out of the staduim/

Darius smiled a weak smile, "So it looks like we beat it," he began, smiling at her, "Too bad I'm out of energy."
As soon as he said that he colapsed to his knees and all the tiles he was holding dropped and broke. He was finished he panted heavily as he sat there, that weak smile still on his face.
"Good match Seyla, but it looks like, you're the victor, if you don't mind I'd like to try and exit this arena on my own power, is that ok."
He then placed one foot on the ground and slowly stood up. That smile of his was now wide and was a grin. He brought out his hand so he could shake with his opponent.

She blinked, not once, but quite a few times. There in front of her was his hand, extended for her to shake. She extended her gloveless hand and shook it, still shocked that he was giving up like this.
"I...I'm sorry that was insane" she admitted and part of her felt like Darius deserved to continue, but she won the match...she won! She grinned back at him, and if she had any energy she'd jump up and do some sort of dance. But obviously she didn't.
Some paramedics wanted to have a look at them both, but Seyla quickly refused. "I'll be fine, and I have other business to attend" She hated hospitals, they brought her back to that enviroment she remembered so vividly as a young teen. Stupid military and their labs, she couldn't wait to use this glove on them, maybe then they'd know how it felt! Maybe then they'd understand just what they had put her through, no not just her, all of those other people too!
With these thoughts racing through her mind she made her way out of the ring and into the locker rooms. Quickly she gathered her things, not bothering to change and went to find Kurai she had to find him...she knew he was mad.

Darius shook his head at the paramedic's, "Don't worry I'm fine. Just need some rest." He slowly, but surely walked out of the arena. A smile on his face. As he walked over to the boys changerooms he could of sworn he heard a standing ovation. He smiled and waved to the crowd and went into the boys changeroom. "THE WINNER IS SEYLA HAWKING!!!!"

Naht watched the fight with interest, 'oohing' and nodding at certain points. He smiled as the two succeeded in vanquishing the phoenix back to it's resting place, and then clapped softly to himself as Darius and Seyla parted, battered but alive. He watched Seyla's hasty exit and shrugged, then turned to Darius and began to give a loud clap, and nodded to the boy. He turned on his heel and put his hands behind his back, a wry little smile on his face before quietly exiting the stands, no idea what he was going to do now. "Mm..Now what, now what.." he said idly, ignoring the fact his mass of golden stars were still floating about him.

The dirt and grass flattened quickly as Yusake's boot pressed into it quickly. He had not been walking for very long since entering the battle area, and yet by the looks of his posture and the way he was slightly slouched forward, he looked to be exhausted. He came just as he did for his last two battles, wearing the leather pants and tall boots, yet not wearing his shirt so the metal parts on his body were unrestricted in their activities. Though, there was one difference this time, that being the sword that was held in his right hand. It was his very own sword, the sword he had yet to use even once during the tournament, or even at all during his entire stay at Ria, save for practicing with it while alone. Both Yusake's head and eyes were lowered, fixed toward the ground below him and the swaying grass from the light breeze. Though there was a crowd before him, watching his every move, as far as Yusake was concerned not a sound existed. All he could really do is wait in this self preserved state of mind, an almost blank expression on his face. But as lost as he seemed, his mind was actually racing at an incredible pace. He couldn't help but think of what had happened before now, the two separate events that so greatly defined the conflict in his head now.
The image of a man flashed before his head, one with a pair of dark eyes. His pupils were dilating, the soon filling the color within his irises. Slight shivers came over his body as he thought about this face. "Weakling..." the voice echoed through his head, the man from before. "Pathetic..." a slight twitch came over him, though it was quite brief. His mind continued to trace along the thoughts in his head, and soon enough the dark eyed man's face became a different one. The eyes were still black, though, more violent...malicious even. But before he could exactly make it out, he went back to the thought of his last opponent, and the image of her carried off in a stretcher because of the injuries he inflicted on her. He wasn't aware of it...but at that time, his eyes slowly began to dart left to right. He was unconsciously looking between his two arms, the metal hand which carried his sword, and the flesh hand which was empty. But still, all the same...he waited, waited right here for his opponent in silence.
