"My parents are... They're nuts. They're convinced I have to follow their dreams instead of my own. I hate it, to be frank..." Amelia said, biting down on her lip again. She hated being the product of her parents ideals for her, especially when she had her own goals in life. A politician wasn't anything she had her eyes on.
With her eyes still shut, she nodded a bit grimly when he continued talking about her sister. It was still a bit fresh in her mind, as her family rarely stopped grieving. "It gets to be, Dom-" She started quietly, before a warm hand cupped and stroked her cheek. Amelia blushed a deep shade of pink, the heat matching his own, and opened her eyes before he spoke again. His soft voice consoled her, and she nodded once again. "Thank you, Dominic... I'm fine now... but I'd like to... not talk about it now." Was the girl's reply, as she offered him a smaller, shy smile.

❊Reluctantly, he moved his palm away from his cheek to cover the hand on his leg. Her parents sounded very closed minded and it bothered him. She didn't deserve to be..trapped. She should've been free to do as she pleased.
He nodded in understanding when she mentioned that she didn't want to speak about her sister at the moment. I know how she feels. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, especially not her. He gave her what he hoped would be a relaxing smile. "Why don't we talk about something else, hm?" He thought for a few seconds before letting the questions flow freely from his mind. He decided her didn't need any type of.. verbal filter with her. Well, not when it came to his questions.

She was relieved that she got over the small hurdle that had bumped their conversation, and intended to answer as many as the boy's questions as possible. Amelia couldn't feel luckier to have someone as understanding and caring as Dominic to tell her troubles to. 'I feel so spoiled to have him... he's too sweet.'
Amelia nodded in appreciation once Dominic suggested they talk about something else. She didn't mind talking about herself, though she had some questions for him. The assumption was that she'd get to ask him later. "I'm fifteen... Turned a few months ago. ... I don't really think I'm great at anything, but I can talk to people, hide myself, and I guess I'm pretty smart...Otherwise I wouldn't be here!" Amelia said, letting out a small quiet giggle at the end of her statement. "What about you? Age, talents?"

❊He squeezed her hand and smiled gently. He liked that she felt comfortable enough to hold his hand, no matter how small the gesture.
He paused, at her question about his talents, wondering if he should mention that he had a thing for sniping. If he didn't mention it, he wouldn't exactly be lying because he'd never said anything about it in the first place but then again, there was a such thing as lying by omission.. "I'm sixteen. And yeah, we all have to be smart, I guess.." He chuckled softly before continuing. "Ah.. my talents.. I like cars. Driving, fixing.. I'm no expert mechanic but I do know my way around an engine."
If he was going to tell her, now was the time to do it. It wouldn't do him any good if he were to bring it up later..Now or never, as his uncle tended to tell him. He exhaled, noticing that this was the first time he'd actually felt.. ashamed about his chosen profession. He'd never really cared what people thought about it because someone had to do it. But now... "And I have a strong fondness for guns. I can pretty much manage any gun although I specifically work with sniper rifles.." ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱ ..Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes, Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes↜

She liked the feeling, and didn't want to let go. However, she tilted her head when he paused to think about his answer. Was he debating telling her something? 'What if he's a criminal? A rapist? Oh god... wait are those talents? What am I /doing/?' Amelia's heart fluttered a little, nervously. She smiled a little on the exterior, once he said his age; she expected that he would be older than him. His talents sounded pretty interesting. Amelia knew that she could expect that he'd take her for a ride someday. A brief picture found it's way into her mind, and she blushed at it.
"That sounds really enjoyable, Dom. I can't drive yet, and typically, my parents prefer walking or taking transit. Do you own any cool ones?" Amelia asked him, enjoying the sound of his hobbies. Cars suited him, she concluded. However, her attention was taken away once he mentioned about his passion for guns. Her jaw dropped a little bit, and she squeezed his hand, almost like she willed it to be a dream. Amelia never expected it. "So... you're a sniper...? T-that's... actually... that actually seems like it suits you. Fast cars, and big guns." She said, a touch on the quiet side, as she laughed a little. Amelia wasn't sure if she was a hundred percent comfortable with his fondness for guns, but she knew that she didn't want any changes between them.

❊He shut his eyes and exhaled again, this time out of frustration. He took her laugh to be a nervous one, and while he wasn't one hundred percent sure it was, it didn't quench his fears any..
He nodded anyway. He knew that he seemed like the type of person to like fast cars and big guns because he was that person. She just didn't seem like the type to want to hang around that. "No, I don't own them. My uncle taught me how to drive and I get to ride in them sometimes.. whenever he.. takes me out, I guess." He frowned a bit, not really sure if those were the appropriate words for what their 'outings' should be called. They weren't exactly walks in the park or anything. "Yeah, I'm a sniper. I know it's not exactly.. Well.."
He tried to find the right words to express his disaproval of it but he couldn't because he didn't really disapprove. He just didn't like that she might not talk to him again because of it. The thought made him uneasy. "I'm sorry if it makes you feel uncomfortable to be around me.. given that I like guns and such.." ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱ ..Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes, Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes↜

Her thumb, though small, stroked his hand, trying to reassure him. When he explained how he learned how to drive, she feigned a smile and nodded. She knew that Dominic was close to his uncle, and though she thought that was cool, she couldn't get over what he enjoyed.
However, when he apologized, Amelia's heart went out to him. Someone like him, who had probably been forced somehow into something that he was practically ashamed to tell a girl, admitted he was sorry for her sake. That struck the young girl, as she leaned in to hug him tightly. "Just... make me a deal, okay?" Amelia muttered, muffling the sound into his shoulder. " Promise me that you won't crash me into walls, or shoot me... And I'll get used to it." She told him, grasping a little tighter, happy with her decision to accept him, the way he was.

❊He looked at her for a few seconds, completely silent. Obviously he wasn't going to ever have to kill her.. but there was always that slim chance. He figured that the day would probably never come, and while it was always a probability, he didn't want her to know that he'd even consider it because it's not like he'd be able to go through with killing her anyway. The thought sent chills up his spine.
He smiled at her weakly. Thinking of shooting her had thrown him for a loop. "No, I'd never.." His voice got quiet a bit and it was clear that he felt disturbed. "I'd never hurt you. ..Do you think I'm a bad person, Amelia?"
He frowned again, thinking of how his sister would perceive him if she were still alive. Would she be proud? Of course not. Who else would be besides sick people like himself? So what right did he have, practically forcing the sweet girl to lie to him about how she felt just to make him feel better? He shook his head, dismissing his earlier question. "No don't.. you don't have to answer that. Sorry." ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱ ..Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes, Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes↜

She was worried now, Dominic seemed very perturbed about something in his thoughts. Knowing him even for a brief time, Amelia knew that she couldn't bear seeing him so upset. "I-" She started to speak, his quiet tone setting her up for a bit of shakiness in her voice as well, but she was cut off by his dismissal.
Honestly, Amelia never could have thought that he was a bad person. Just a good one, stuck with a burden that didn't make him all that impressive. To her, there was a side of him that she got to know, though briefly, that she had assumed to be the gentle person that she trusted him to be. She spoke softly, but firmly. "No. I'm answering it... You could never be a bad person, Dominic... Your actions may be... wrong, but I could never see you being bad. You showed me that you're gentle, caring, and warm, in the brief time we've gotten to know each other. I can't lie about that..."
Amelia took a moment, and smiled softly at him. Hopefully, what she had said would have some effect on him. She didn't want him to be upset, at something he seemed to enjoy to do.

❊He couldn't help but return her smile with a sad one of his own. He didn't know if she believed what she was saying or not but he knew that he'd never believe it himself. Murderers were murderers to him, and no matter how long he'd live, he'd always be one. Even if he stopped sniping.
He nodded. "Thank you." He paused for a quick second, his eyes now on the floor in front of them. "I can't say I believe you but.. it doesn't hurt to know that you won't judge me for.. for that."
He sighed heavily. At one point he'd had a whole barrage of questions to ask her, and he could use one of those to get the topic off of himself. However, he couldn't seem to think of any and just remained quiet for the moment. ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱ ..Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes, Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes↜

At least he understood what she had told him, though she knew he'd never believe it. She did though, and didn't want to think any differently. She then took a braver moment, still hugging him, she backed away a little to kiss him on the cheek. She wanted him to desperately cheer up. "You're welcome... Do you want to get some coffee or something? It might be good for both of us." Amelia suggested to him, offhandedly.
A distraction would greatly benefit them both, especially from the many looming questions they both would have, and provide an escape from the awkward silence that ensued. Amelia couldn't find herself comfortable in silence.

Sona Imithe
Sona entered the library and carefully scanned the room. She headed over to a section of books, and grabbed a couple. Sona sat at one of the empty tables and began to read. 'I promised myself I'd try and make friends but in this school.....' she thought to herself as she flipped a page 'Although I was never good at making friends...'

He smiled uncontrollably now, reveling in the feeling of her kiss. He finally gathered the courage to lift his head and look her in the eyes. He couldn't read her expression but he figured that it wasn't important at the moment.
He smiled only grew wider. "Yeah, that'd be nice. I like hot chocolate." He grinned boyishly at her, cradling her smaller hand in his as he stood, waiting for her to do the same. ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱⋰⋰┋⋱⋱┈ ┉ ⋰⋰┋⋱⋱ ..Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes, Hit 'Em Right Between The Eyes↜

Hana slowly entered the library and looked around. Wow. Gallagher is quite a large place... She spotted two boys who appeared to be close friends, then a boy and a little girl lounging on one of the couches. She laughed quietly. They appeared to be having a "moment". She wouldn't interrupt them. She continued scanning for a target fit for socialization. There was a few more people amongst the tables. She almost jumped when she spotted a man hiding in the shelves. He must be a teacher... After a few minutes, Hana finally spotted someone to speak to; a sliver-haired girl who had just opened a book. Hana padded silently across the library and stopped behind the girl. She carefully leaned in to peer over the silver-haired girl's shoulder. "What are you reading there?" Hana read a couple of lines of the book, looked over to the girl and raised her eyebrow. "Hmm?"

She felt accomplished; she got him smiling again. When he looked up at her, after touching the place she kissed, a warm smile was greeting him. It felt only the slightest bit feigned, as she was genuinely happy that he was feeling even the slightest bit better. However, she still needed time to adjust to what had just been said.
"I like it too!" Amelia laughed a little bit at how peppy he got after she suggested they go on more of an actual 'date'. Her hand felt warm and secure in his, and she stood up, ready to go to the Cafeteria, or into town or wherever they had to go; together.
