"That's not true!!" Valhalla said, but not loud enough for the whole room to hear. He didn't want to start anything more than had already happened. He lowered his voice even more, speaking only to the few around him, knowing that his opinion was probably the unpopular one. "I've spoken to them, discussed with them what was going on. They're still human! They just want to protect what they think they have to protect! I... I'm not trying to say I agree with them. I don't. But... I don't think they're worth disposing of... And what of the DMC? They can't be purified, can they?"
It bothered him that they were so willing to just... jump to conclusions about them as a whole. It was just like Sessrumnir asking about the Moon Queen they were all accused of following.
At least he was trying to keep to himself, but with Niflhel decided to speak for all of them... "That's not true!" he repeated, louder this time, standing so he could be seen over the crowd. "I can vouch for at least a few who don't just want to needlessly kill. Hell, I'd even trust them to help me if it came down to it. They just don't want some damn Moon Queen taking over!" Or at least that's what he'd understood from his various encounters. He was tempted to say that he'd even call a couple his friends... but then he was rather optimistic about things like that, so he left it off. "Valhalla of Jupiter," he added as an after thought.

Pasiphae gave a startled half-jump when both Niflhel and Tsui acknowledged her, but she took comfort in the discussion that both of them were having. At least it was somewhat peaceful and still allowed others in the room to step in, unlike the murmurs she could hear of some individuals talking amongst themselves. She tried to block that out so that she could pay attention to whomever had the floor, currently.
Lina's explosion made the Shame Senshi's maroon eyes widen and the vestiges of tears could be seen. She knew the Knight only vaguely from a couple of other group meetings, but what the blue-haired woman said always made sense to her. Now? Now, if she were to listen, than the war could only have one outcome. Fight or die.. Purify or be corrupted. No diplomacy, no sparing the innocent, no working with their foes to see who even could be saved and who would have to be put down. Lina was saying, in Pasiphae's mind, that the only way was to become what Carnelian and others accused her of being from the beginning. An invader. An enforcer. A pawn of some Moon Princess that she had never laid eyes upon, although she had met Princesses in the past. 'No. No, I never... I don't want that. I want to save people but... is that really... really the only way?'
The Senshi of Shame did not have the courage to actually raise her voice before Lina left the room along with another Senshi, and her heart broke to see Niflhel agree with exactly the question she had left unvoiced. The Senshi of Tigers, and now Valhalla as well spoke up in protest, but Pasiphae didn't have anything else to add. She could see the logic of both sides; she could agree with either of them. She just wanted to be human, to be good, to do her duty and protect the innocent--isn't that why she had been given the power in the first place?
Pasiphae moved towards the Jovians, making gentle, murmured excuses to the other Senshi, Knights, and cats that she may have had to part to do so. She could speak her mind from there as well as anywhere, and that's where the people she had fought the most with were seated. While she was always willing to meet others and interact with them... she was clearly shaken by Lina's speech and by what was going on around her. But she would not leave. She would never leave, not as long as her allies--all of them, not just the Jovians--were willing to meet and talk. No matter how insecure she might feel, no matter how little she might have had to offer, she would not leave.

Virgo had been biding her time in silence, believing that there really was nothing she could contribute--she'd done nothing but try to restore her sanctuary in space of late, having all but abandoned her home on Earth for it. But Lina's outburst drew her attention, and she knew that long ago she'd been friends with the Knight of Mercury. It didn't surprise the Zodiac Captain that both of them shared a viewpoint.
"It's true," said Virgo, pitching her voice to carry. "Kill or purify, that's the only way to stop anyone corrupted by the grip of Chaos." Up in space, there wasn't much but her memories to keep her company, and the more time she spent reviewing them the angrier she became. They had murdered children, the Negaverse, and they would not stop murdering children just because they were told to. "If they don't want a Moon Queen taking over, perhaps they'd better consult the histories. The Moon never ruled the Earth. I doubt it wants to now. The Earth had their own kingdom, as they were quite apt to remind us. The senshi lived on their own planets. You might have noticed, around the time your cell phone took you there." Her tone was acrid, and her green eyes resentful. Did none of them learn anything from their pasts?

Europa swept down on Pasiphae as the younger senshi made her way over, wrapping her teammate in a hug. "You were so eloquent!" she exclaimed. Whether or not she had directly inspired Lina's outburst (which was just, well, the truth) didn't matter - at least the senshi of shame had gotten up and said her part, and been so well-spoken about it. She pulled Pasiphae over to where the small group of Jovians had gathered, falling back into line with Ganymede and Valhalla. Even if their team evidently wasn't going to partake in any of the silly peacocking of announcing their name and pretending they were more important than they actually were, it was still good to stand together - right?
"I'll be right back," she said, patting Pasiphae on the shoulder before ducking back into the crowd, headed for where she had last seen a familiar pair of pink odango. "Princess?" Europa asked softly, arriving in the vicinity of Chibimoon's shoulder. "Could I interest you in a better seat?"
This was met with an enthusiastic response, and they shoved their way (gently) back towards the Jovians. "Remember what you said to me when I told you about Ares corrupting?" Europa asked Chibimoon lowly. "About her being smoke and not fire? Is it the same for the other Dark Mirror Senshi? Is there any way of turning them back into the people they were, of purifying them?"
Europa was generally in keeping with the rest of the Jovians' pacifism - but when it came to the Dark Mirror, she'd already mourned Leto. If there was no chance of purifying her cousin, then she'd rather kill her than continue to allow a dopelganger walk around wearing her face.

((Just fyi: Niflhel's still talking where it carries around the room just too lazy to bold all the speech.))
Niflhel ran a hand through his hair. Closing his eyes and taking a breath. All of them were starting to get on his nerves. "They would do it if there was a superior standing behind them ordering them to do it. Despite what they would normally do or not."
The knight of Saturn looked up to Polaris. "I know enough that wouldn't under normal circumstances but if you called a meeting of that size they would have leader figures there. Most of those that high in ranking would not think twice about giving the order to kill. I have seen it before, back when the aliens came to try and save their tree. I was still just civilian, but they ruthlessly tried to kill us all even the ones that don't normally have that outlook."
"I don't know how many senshi remember that battle.... The blood shed and the pained looks on those faces.... Even the tree, which had protected those of us...." His brown eyes stopped on Valhalla. "Our homes, out in space, if that's even what you want to call it. Are no longer inhabitable for the most part, they want us to leave this place, the only place still mostly habitable. If this war doesn't destroy it."
I've seen them kill humans, they've tried to kill me while I was a civilian. Yank out my starseed. I was lucky then. I had a senshi rescue me. If they want to protect this place... why are they harming the people that do belong here?" He asked looking around. "Not all of them do it, but enough do it or they are forced to do it when there is some one above them standing there watching. It leaves me wondering what do they really want?"
He nodded towards Virgo who spoke up, she was right.
He shook his head, "I'm done on this topic." He added leaning back on the stage, "If you wish to attempt a truce, try it. Let us know how well that works, if you're unharmed we know who we can save."
He was fiddling with his signet ring debating. The topic had strayed from knights... and he wasn't sure he could get it back there without pissing off more people.

Chibimoon had also tried to drag Juno with her into crowd, which by now was becoming increasingly agitated by the outburst from the girl the princess knew to have been a former Negaverser, unsure if the Senshi of the Canopy was following. She was the only one who had been purified so far and it didn't seem to have worked out so well for the girl, for whatever reason. It worried Allie, made her wonder if maybe she should be trying harder to gather everyone together so that they would work together. But she'd seen that they didn't want to listen, didn't want to work together, and it was best to just wait it out and see what happened. If you tried to force your will onto someone who had a choice they never did anything but resent you for it.
As to Lina Knight's viewpoint she agreed...somewhat. Some of them could be purified but the rest would have to be killed. There was too much Chaos in them to keep the balance if they were purified, added to the fact that after a certain point corruption was, in her mind, absolute. You couldn't take a monster like Beryl, like Tanzanite, or even that civilized looking Zinkenite and try to make a human out of them again; it just wasn't possible in her mind.
Europa's question snapped her back away so that the (relatively) young princess was forced to think rather seriously about it. "I think it should not be said to be not possible?" Her English was slipping, unfortunately. "If you try to purify a Negaverse officer you are just removing the Chaos, removing the stain of evil from them. The mirrors are holes into another universe, brought through to be slaves to their wannabe Moon Queen." Nehelenia was never going to rank very high on Chibimoon's list of people to speak kindly of. Any agent of hers, any shred of anything from that mirror b***h's universe had to be eradicated and quickly. They spread like a plague.
"You would have to remove the parasite soul. But I think it could be done, if you did not mind killing the parasite to save the host." Maybe Allie was spending a little too much time with her scientist father these days, but it was a perfectly viable solution in her mind. Eradicate the mirror people, save the people that belonged here.
Perfect!

"How would that work, though?" Europa asked Chibimoon, her tone low. She didn't care about saving mirror souls - they were just parasites, after all, and a soul without a body wasn't much of a soul at all. Unconditional morality had gone out the window months ago, the end. "Would it be the same mechanism as purification?"
Which she still didn't totally understand, by the way, and it had only been done once and set off ridiculous shockwaves in Chibimoon's explanation of the balance between good and evil, so she honestly wasn't sure it was worth it. The senshi of the deep sighed and leaned against the wall, reaching a gloved hand up to massage her temples. There were no easy answers.
However, the assumption that their homeworlds were totally useless was really starting to grate on her nerves. Europa's hand shot up into the air, force of reflex. A moment later, she called out, "Just because our homes out in space aren't model houses ready for move-in full of pre-assembled Ikea furniture doesn't mean we can discount them totally. They've been abandoned for a millenium, but they aren't dead. I've managed to grow edible plants with water from my moon and seeds I brought from Earth. It will take a lot of energy and time to revitalize them, but I don't see why we can't look at them as a possible long-term option."
Sometimes, she really felt like she was the only person who had actually read Hogwarts: A History.

After listening to Virgo's and Niflhel's speech, Tsui wasn't convinced. Yes, they provided a strong argument, and Nifhel was at least able to give her reasons, but to Tsui, nothing was impossible. To her, that was a cop out, an excuse thrown about to give the person a scapegoat into not even trying. Perhaps it was her own inexperience that made it hard to believe, but Tsui just wasn't convinced.
"So, it's kill or purify all of the Chaos, no questions asked? No hope for living with them in peace? Just strike them down the moment we see them?" Tsui asked, not raising her voice but letting those around her hear the edge in it. As Pasiphae came to sit next to her Jovian teammates, Tsui carried on. "Not sure how that makes us any different from the youma then, if we just mindlessly kill or purify them. Guess we're not so different in the end?"
He made it clear that he was done with the topic, and Tsui rose her hands in the air, a famous gesture of 'surrender', but there was no sincerity behind it. "But that's okay, because we're right and they're wrong. Just that simple... I'll be sure to keep that in mind next time I'm on patrol."
She sat back down, the very notion of leaving the meeting never came to mind. That'd be cowardly, and Tsui was known for many things, but cowardice wasn't going to be one of them. The way she held herself made it clear that she wasn't up for talking about the topic in public; let the rest of the meeting commence however whichaway it wanted.
Europa's comment about revitalizing homeworlds sparked genuine curiosity with Tsui. 'That'd be a great way to get away from it all. Just live there again...'

Bobbing her head lightly from side to side she picked apart the idea from the point of view of a wielder of a purification power. She intrinsically understood how to purify someone but was not confident that she could master the power to do such a thing without exploding the one she was trying to purify accidentally instead. Chibimoon, while being born a princess with all the potential powers and rights accordant to this position, was not a princess in the true meaning of the word. She had no control over the power that she had access to due to the fact that she was some kind of temporal anomaly. In other words, she was a huge mistake that didn't quite know how to un-mistake herself.
Moving on to the problem at hand eventually she nodded hesitantly. "It would help if I understood how they were corrupt? With officers it is the Chaos direct into their starseed. Is it that way for the parasite? But how? You have to know what to purify. If you do it wrong it could go very, very wrong for more than just the person." Trying to be reassuring though the pink-haired senshi smiled and patted Europa comfortingly.
"We can figure it out. You are very smart and good at finding things out. We will find out and then it will all be okay." That was the base truth of the matter for her and all that really mattered in the long run. They'd figure out the problem and execute a solution. Then they would execute their queen.

LP After her little 'chibi senshi are welcome to join my team' sphel Hug-bell had gotten down and was walking the crowds to see if she knew anyone pausing to introduce herself to a few. That was until she came across a grumpy looking fluffy cat and she stooped down so she could speak to Zirconia.
"Would you like a better view? You can sit in my hood if you'd like?" She also held out her hand in a offering of rubbing. If only because half of Zirconia was her cousin Hug-bell wasn't going to out right start petting her in the middle of a meeting.
The child pulled her hoodie down. "Oh... uh.... I might've used you as an excuse to get out of the house for the night." The child added glancing back to the meeting. Hoping that Zirconia understood that she meant Zia and not the cat herself. Zirconia seemed to be stuck in a daze that took several seconds to break when the overly familiar chibi senshi approached her to offer a view. The cat blinked a few times and stared at her like she hadn't even spoken English until it finished processing, and she whipped her head around to scowl in another direction. "Oh. Fine. And no. No, thank you," She said with a stilting attempt at politeness. "There isn't a view here I care to see." There was so much bickering and arguing and misinformation and information holes floating around. Some information she had. She heard a few questions here and there in her eavesdropping she could answer, but didn't care to.
Disgusted, tired, angry... all these things that went unchanged in her fatigued little double sided soul only added to the reluctance to say anything at all, vindictive or informative.

Pasiphae accepted Europa's hug with a small, shaky smile. She didn't feel like she had been particularly useful or eloquent in her speech, but she knew that Tallulah wouldn't lie to her. She had to admit, however, that she was glad when the Eternal Senshi zipped off, giving her a chance to sit down. The opinions pouring in were coming more and more on the side of not even trying diplomacy, and she shivered at Virgo and Niflhel's words. Perhaps she was too naive, to believe in trying for peace. Maybe it was true that the only way to save them was to purify them, whether they wanted to be purified or not. Maybe killing was inevitable. She did not want to believe these things... but she could not, and would not, discredit the experiences of those around her.
She tried to listen to both the debates currently on the floor as well as the discussion going on much closer to her. Like Lina, Chibi Moon was a vaguely familiar face from a battle, but Europa seemed to trust her words, and that was good enough for Pasiphae.
[Unfortunatey, I really have to buckle down on this paper now, so I probably won't be responding for a while unless it's someone speaking directly to Pasiphae. I will be cheecking back in and hope that I can pop in again later in the week. <3]

Weaving around more legs, Pravoski finally found a higher surface to hop up on. He sat down and curled his tail around him.
"So, Lina Knight said the Negaverse has a queenie thing. Who knows what kind of things their big bad queenie has told them that they've accepted as truth? Could they not then just be her little pawn thingurs? Anyone ever think of that? Maybe this queen has some other agenda and is just telling them what she thinks will work to uh, to uh...what's the word umm...move them?"
Honestly Pravoski had been doing his best to avoid the war for the greater part of ...everything. He wasn't even sure why he'd come, other than to maybe meet some other fine feline ladies - he was failing there but okay - and get a better grasp on just what he was ignoring...but he really wondered if anyone had though of that.
Sure, he'd just previously been talking about, or more like brought up, diplomacy, but he could play both sides of the argument. If the Negaverse had been fed lies, then they needed to see the light. If they weren't though, he was all for...whatever. He really didn't care one way or another - they could follow their instincts on what they felt needed to be done. So long as he got fed at the end of the day.

"I believe that's the thing of it," Zirconia chose to forgo dwelling on bigotry and 11th grade civil liberties rhetoric and cling to a voice she felt she could agree with. It just happened to be another feline who had found a high perch. She didn't have the luxury, but she was a large cat and felt if she was loud enough, maybe someone would hear her.
"They joined, you know. A cat didn't approach them and unlock their powers, they joined. They were recruited. Some are young. Well... you're all young." She had to clear her throat at that, still occasionally forgetting that all these young adults were practically babies to her when war talk reached a certain height.
"Purifying is not the same as corruption. Chaos will always separate us from them. It's a disease, it gets inside you and twists and eats away at your humanity. I believe they can be reasoned into taking a cure. Not all, but some. But the point is I doubt they were recruited by asking 'hey, would you like to corrupt your soul and destroy everything?' They have their reasons." What she was leading up to was something the Blood Moon court had discussed at length, which was PR and propaganda. However, this was a new direction, but it was still fresh in her mind which led to her thoughts being dedicated to a topic that didn't seem too likely to drive her to violence.
"It is worth considering," She finished, clearing her throat yet again and shifting on her paws as she remembered a brief meeting where she got a bit too cozy with a Negaverser named Painite.

She had asked for talking yes, but the flood gates that spilled forth were not remotely what she'd been hoping for. And they were particularly hard to follow considering the many conversations, and her unfortunately placement up at the head of the room. She was getting bits and pieces here and there, flinching as people burst into passionate yelling about this or that, and all the while trying to find some kind of way to sooth things, even if only barely.
When she spoke her words tried to stay even amid the emotion in the room. It was no time for her to blow up at people too.
"There isn't anything stopping anyone from trying to speak diplomatically with the Negaverse. Some people are warning of the dangers of a plan like that, but in the end you need to do what you feel is right. If there is a group that would like to try that tactic then go ahead and do it. Don't just stand around and ask why no one else has done it."
"As Lina mentioned, the Negaverse and the Dark Mirror Senshi both have leaders that run their groups. So as much as you talk members of the group that won't solve the problem. If you can talk to their leaders and compromise with them and make it back alive, I'm sure the rest of us would be very happy to sing your praises."
"We simply are concerned about you making it back alive. But I doubt many of us would stand in your way if that was your choice."
"People say this strategy is wrong, and that one is wrong, but how many of us actually try something different or offer up other solutions? We weren't given a handbook, and everything we do is by trial and error. If you want to think protecting the city from monsters and trying to suggesting purification to those that want it is wrong, then by all means do. But complaining about it doesn't get anything done. Go out and find your answer."
The idea hit her, only as the large purple cat spoke that a possible answer to their problem might be to target the leaders and not the people working under them. But it was an idea she wanted to think over more before simply blurting it out amid all the chaos. A topic for some other time.
Her hand was on her forehead for a moment, as if trying to will away the beginnings of a headache, but it didn't stay long, trailing back to rustle through her bangs. Some of her stress was relieved through a sigh before she spoke again.
Turning to address another point, she frowned a little sad to see that it was her old friend who had spoken it. Go back to space? To the silent tomb of a star that her soul once lived on many year ago? Had Europa given up on earth the same way she'd given up on her first team?
"Each and every one of us here was also born on earth. Asking us to leave is asking us to give up our families and friends and the planet were were born on and have come to care about. Just because our souls once lived somewhere else? How is that fair to us, to the people that care for us? Earth doesn't belong to them just as much as it doesn't belong to us. It's all of our homes."
"Perhaps with some extensive work our homeworlds could be restored, but I know for sure that Polaris is not habitable as it is now and probably will not be for years and years to come. The cold snow keeps anything from growing and the animals are long gone. My people lived by trading our ore and goods with food producing stars. There is no intergalatic trading force out there anymore."
"I do agree, it is a very good idea to try and bring our worlds back to life. But do we really have five years. Or even ten years to try and do it? How many of us will be taken by the war before we can make them done enough to escape to? Unless the plan is to no longer even try and fight for the people of Destiny City and instead focus sololy on our old homes." And even if they did escape... who was to say that Chaos wouldn't eventually follow? They had certainly come to their homes once before and left them in ruin.
The words weren't accusatory, or even really heated. If anything at all they were sad and solemn. Sad that she couldn't understand someone she'd once agreed on so much with, and wishing once more for the insight to see.
Juno was not particularly thrilled when Chibimoon decided to head towards the side of the room that had been causing one of the largest tiffs and arguments. In fact she gave a soft growl as she followed a few feet behind, as she would have felt much more comfortable someplace quieter and more subdued.
But Small Lady was the boss, and Juno wanted even less to be by herself then she wanted to be uncomfortable, so she joined her princess silently, flicking her braids off her shoulder mildly. Why so much yacky yacky yelling from everyone. It was almost like a elementary school food fight and she kept half expecting a plate of spaghetti to come flying at her.

Hug-bell nodded "If you insist." She stayed near the guardian cat though, just in case. There was a lot going on and some fighting over things. Hug-bell's head tilted as she listened before frowning, she knew how mean they could be.
Zirconia was talking as well. "A disease that hasn't gotten a hold of some as strong as others." The chibi added when she heard Zirconia speak. She knew of at least one who wasn't as mean as the rest.
She looked towards everyone that were twisting the knight's words. Hug-bell blinked, "I thought he had finished saying just a little bit ago he knew a lot that wouldn't just out right attack....."
Hug-bell looked towards Tsui. ".... If this corruption is evil and...... causes them to just believe lies they are told by a Queen.... and we don't know what the queen's end goal is. How could we live in peace with them?" The child was looking butter yellow eyes blinked owlishly.
"It's like telling a bully not to be a bully. They'll be a bully anyways when they can get away with it or with friends that make them act that way. Just because they want to appear tough. He never said anything about being Mindless about anything." Hug-bell never heard a word about 'mindlessly', "We're different from them because we stand for hope, peace and love. We protect those that cannot protect their selves. It's very different. And we're not always right, I think everyone knows that and they're not always wrong."
The child stopped for a moment thinking. "It's hard to figure out who's is truth but when I feel a negaverse agent near me It's like a really bad feeling, some are like just waking up from nightmares. Does that mean they're good? I don't like Nightmares."
There was a pause as the talking went back to homeworlds.... she shook her head, "If I left to go live on my planet..... despite never being there so I don't know the state of it.... My parents would be worried sick. I couldn't just say I was staying at my cousin's house for that long of a time. They would think I'd been kidnapped or worse." It wasn't a good idea at all.
