Soren noted the floating object, looking at it as it seemed to tantalize him into moving forward. It would be worth it just to try anything in this place.

And just like that, it was dead, dissolving into a mass of bone and color, the way that only evil things could. It was reassuring, that they had been able to kill it before it had done any real damage, although Petra could feel her shoulder aching a little from the leap. Damn this body, it was useless. Besides, she was more of a dog-person. Go figure.

What was left, however, was something that looked suspiciously powerful, and suspiciously like something which should not fall into the wrong hands. Flicking her eyes towards the other hunters, she watched as Deryk made a rush for it, following close behind him. They both missed, and the intermediate death hunter scrambled back onto solid ground, limping a little on her sore shoulder.

Without warning, the fragment dipped and bobbed uncontrollably -

- And fell straight into the kushi kushi known as Ofelia, roughly around perhaps where her fluffy minipet heart would be.

While she wouldn't exactly feel different, there was something else, this distinct feeling of warmth, comfort, a gentle pulsing aura-

- Nah. That was just her imagination.

THE SHARD WAS STUCK...inside her for now? Or something? It was hard to tell, one moment Ofelia was talking to Deryk and then the next thing she knew the shard came charging at her and was stuck inside her small kushi-kushi heart. A panic would have swept over her if it hadn't felt so nice, or maybe she thought it felt nice and was thinking too hard, but there was one sad thing she noticed.

Instead though she felt the same and she turned back to Deryk, motioning with her paws that she'd like to try and scale him again. . . . actually she wasn't going to ask permission because well OFELIA. "Ah think Ah got the shard? ah dunno, was that supposed'ta happen?" Her words were muffled as she climbed, slow and steady.

"Ah guess Ah'm okay, Ah'll let ya know if anythin' changes." The kushi-kushi huffed herself up on Deryk's back, settling in and ignoring the fact her companion was hurt too. She placed a paw over where she assumed the shard was, gingerly poking at it with a tiny padded finger(?). "Ah saw Cael hitcha, kinda knocked me off in the process. Not'a good thin', are ya doin' okay?"

It was funny, with her position on him she could be like his voice in his head!

. . . .a very poor-choice making voice.

"Didja f'gur' out who else is here? Gale an' me an' ya an' um..the birdie girl? Ah dunno, voices man."

"Petra? Ah dunno who that is." The Ofie-shi patted Deryk's back with a paw, totally not helping the soreness. In all fairness though she was really weak and he might not even feel it and riding around on someone was totally much easier than having to walk on her own. Ofelia was a lazy kushi-kushi, this was a fact of life.

After a few more moments of patting she took to kneading, like a small backrub, and pondered what to do next. "Should we go explorin' ta see if we find more shards? Or do ya think we'll be kinda stuck fightin' biggin' each time ta get one?"

Leon swore softly as he picked up his head from the ground, the vision swayed with each passing second until he shook his head vigorously. "uh, who put a roofie in the beer?" he asked groggily and looked about toward anyone else from the labs.

and found nothing but beady eyes around him.
"ah dammit." he was sure the minipet cages were open again. "dammit robert, you did it again."

he wanted to try and punch something, like robert's face right now, so he took a step.


and hopped. "WHAT?"



Damien was too busy dreaming about bacon to try and get up and look around. "mmmmmmmmmmmm foooood." he slurred out ravenously and began kicking at the air happily.
