Bruce grinned, sufficiently reassured that tony didnt know more than he needed to. He took the meds knocked them back and then tossed the bottle to tony. “heads up.” he bellowed as the bottle hit the man in the head and Bruce began to snicker. “whoops, sorry” he laughed though he really wasn’t. he laid himself on the floor with a groan stretching out after the transformation that always did a number on him. “so now that im back for good, do i get that better mattress you were talking about or am i just going to have to sleep on the kitchen floor which, is surprisingly comfortable let me tell you.”
The pill bottle bounced off his skull and he nabbed it up from where it had fallen to the floor. "Thanks," he laughed as he took a couple with a glass of water. He considered Bruce's question. "You bet, big guy. I can even get it California King-sized with a titanium-reinforced boxspring so the both of you are comfy." He grinned at his own clever joke.

“im never comfortable,” He sighed, “Actually i rarely sleep at all, last night was an oddity.” he said being more honest than he needed to be but realizing that he couldnt bring himself to lie. he felt a slight surge of anger in the undercurrent of his emotions as if he didnt completly have control over what he was saying but he ignored it. Thinking that the other guy would control his words just to make him honest was crazy, wasnt it?
Tony hummed softly at this admission. "Well... how about a backrub?" he offered, wetting his lips to see if Bruce would go for it. If he liked him (and thought he was good at everything), there would be no way he could resist.

“I - Um- well-, What?” Bruce asked sitting straight up,” i think id like that.” slipped from his lips without his permission. Of course it was what he wanted to say, tony’s hands all over his body why would he want to say no. But regardless the thing that he had been trying to say hadnt come out. He felt forced to be honest. s**t he thought to himself, You are not doing this to me, not now you green monster of betrayal how the hell are you even? he thought to himself hoping that the other guy was listening and realized he was not amused.
"Well, only one way to find out, right?" Tony said, pulling over a chair and offering him a hand up from the floor. "C'mon and sit backwards on this and I'll give you the ol' Stark rubdown," he said with an alluring wink.

Bruce felt his heartbeat race and his thoughts strayed to places they should not be straying. “yeah, sure.” he said positioning himself the way tony had asked. “is this right?” he asked making sure he wasn’t doing something wrong in his completely nerve addled state.
The engineer gave a soft purr under his breath, eyes dilating to take in the broad expanse of Banner's back. So convenient that he hadn't bothered to put on a shirt. Tony placed his palms on top of the man's shoulders, starting out by just giving them a few light squeezes, working inwards over his trapezial muscles and increasing the pressure somewhat. They were nice and firm (Bruce hadn't been kidding about the gym), but slightly knotted with stress. "Mm..." he commented with a hum, "you definitely need this, big guy."

Bruce bit his lip, hard the moment tony laid his hands on his back to supress a moan. As tony spoke he didnt respond, knowing that the response would be much more than nessacary in this situation he just nodded. “dont speak, dont speak, dont make a noise” bruce thought to himself right before Tony hit a point that sent pleasure and relaxation trough his body. He let out a very muffled groan from all the effort he was doing to keep from making a noise. “god,” he thought to himself “please let him not have heard that, and please NEVER let this moment end”
Tony pressed his thumbs to both sides of the vertebrae marking the spine's transition to neck, carefully making small circles as he moved gradually upward into the physicist's hairline. He admired the curls at the nape of Bruce's neck adoringly, the way a strand here and there was grey-- aged like a fine wine. "I hope you're enjoying this as much as I am..." he murmured, daring to be just slightly flirtateous.

Bruce’s mind whirrled trying to figure out just what he meant by that. Surely tony just really liked giving massages and wanted Bruce to be happy with the outcome. Anything else was just his imagination. He nodded again, biting down harder on his lip drawing blood from the thick flesh between his teeth. The struggle not to speak, to moan, to react was becoming harder every second that Tony’s hands stayed plastered to his skin.
Tony chuckled softly as Bruce nodded, hands taking a downward path now. He made his circles bigger in diameter as he rolled his palms into the other man's shoulderblades now, pushing hard enough to fold Banner forward somewhat. God, his skin was warm, Tony noticed. He wondered if it had anything to do with his recent transformation (or the possibility that he could be inducing another), but kept massaging with even, purposeful motions.

Bruce relesed his lip a moment, replacing the gesture with clenched teeth. He was just hoping that tony wouldnt come to the front of him and see the stupid look he was sure to have on his face right now. Bruce made a rumbeling noise in the back of his throat, nothing he could do could make him stop enjoying this so much. too much.
An eyebrow lifted on the older scientist's forehead when he heard the low sound come from the man he was working over. Tony walked his fingers a little lower, rubbing the middle of the other man's back now, thoroughly encouraged by the sound and seeking to hear it again.

Bruce let himself relax a bit, there was nothing he could do to control the noises and making his lips bleed and his teeth crack, well that really wasn’t helping. He gasped as tony pushed into the muscle near his spine. He whimpered quietly, reveling in the feeling of the mans fingers against his muscled back.
"That's better..." Tony said as he felt and visibly saw Bruce relax before him. He spent a few minutes more working the man's skin and flesh, enjoying the excuse to just run his hands all over him. He'd always liked to touch, to play with things, it's what made him a good engineer. And, apparently, a decent massager too. Well, wasn't he discovering a bunch of new talents today? He lifted his hands away. "How'd I do?"

Bruce supressed a groan at the loss of contact. “shh. you’re ruining the moment, just sit and be quiet a moment i dont think ive ever been this happy” Bruce said suprised at his honesty but not upset by it. He was happy, relaxed and happy for the first time in his living memory.
Tony laughed loudly at the 'moment ruining' comment. "Tony Stark: Moment Ruiner," he said, clapping his partner on the shoulder. "You could've just said thank you."

Bruce just smiled at him before standing up and pulling him into a tight hug, nestling his nose into the mans neck he held on very tight. “thank you” he whispered.
Bruce drew him into a hug, and immediately Tony's mind thought back to the way the Hulk had scooped him up and hugged him not too much earlier. The parallel made him smile. He wrapped his arms around the physicist's waist, squeezing him back gently and holding him there. Something about Banner's whispered gratitude made Tony think he was thanking him for a whole lot more than the silly backrub. "No problem, anytime, seriously," Tony said, drifting his left hand through the messy hair.

Bruce smiled into tony’s neck, knowing that he should let go but unable to bring himself to. He just relaxed into the embrace, happy to not think about the consequences of his actions for a moment. “im glad im not leaving, id miss you” he said quietly as tony’s hand twined itself into his hair. Again he was shocked with his brutal honesty but he couldnt bring himself to care.
Tony chuckled. "You wouldn't be the only one," he said teasingly, alluding to the scientist's alter ego. He didn't move to end the hug, rather preferring to let Bruce end it when he felt like it, since he was after all the one who started it.

Bruce smiled, confused by Tony’s statement but happy that he hadn’t stepped away yet. Bruce pulled back only a bit resting his forehead on Tony’s. ” I’m sorry i made you so upset” he said staring into the mans eyes. This position to anyone else would have looked almost intimate, however bruce convinced himself it was just that he was stupidly in love with tony, and tony was just a very friendly person. He was like this with everyone, not just him.
"Well, it was a pretty d**k-move, I'll admit," Tony said frankly, staring the man straight back with a crooked grin on his features. "But apology accepted, Dr. Banner." He poked Bruce's adorably large nose with his forefinger, eyes twinkling happily.

” I really need to get my senses checked because for a second i could have sworn that was flirting” Bruce said as he grinned, before realizing that he had spoken his internal monologue, well outside his head. crap crap crap, he thought pulling away from tony and crossing the room.
"Flirting? Me? /Never/." Tony said, dripping sarcasm. "That's a headliner there, Bruce, maybe they'll give you a job down at one of those celebrity tabloids with that one. 'Bruce Banner: MORE than just Stark's Lab Partner??'" he motioned both hands out in the air.

Bruce laughed “Psh like that would ever happen.” his inability to keep his thoughts to himself was bordering on concerning for the physicist who was still staring at the wall in front of him, looking anywhere but at tony.
The engineer advanced on the man so he could throw an arm over his shoulders and force him to look at him. "Hey now, I think you're selling yourself short, as usual. Why shouldn't someone as intelligent and good-looking as you catch my eye, huh? Doesn't seem that far-fetched to me."

Bruce just frowned, “now you’re just messing with me. Ha ha Tony, another fun round of try to get Bruce mad. It’s still not going to work. ” he pushed Tony away obviously upset, ” I’m going to un pack, seeing as somehow im staying and putting up with this whole make fun of Bruce thing.” He looked dejectedly at his feet before trying to walk away.
"Okay, I'm gonna shower, but after maybe we can hit the park!" he shouted after the man who had already left the room and started up the stairs. "Hm..." Tony said to himself, rubbing his scruffy chin with his hand as he stood alone in the kitchen. The Hulk certainly hadn't shown any compunction in revealing his feelings towards him, but Bruce was still /definitely/ in denial. Well, he supposed Banner would tell him when he was good and ready, until then, Tony wouldn't push. Too hard. He grinned mischeviously.
