Amata smiled at that; she could just picture him, dusty and covered in an inch of grime, not even noticing because he was too wrapped up in some intriguing artifact or runes or hieroglyphs. It was somewhat amusing, actually. He might be a bit absent-minded at times (well, more than a bit), but at least it wasn't because he was flighty. No, he was passionate about his work, and the subjects he both taught and studied. It was an admirable trait; incredibly frustrating to someone who was hoping to catch his eye, but at least she couldn't fault him for it. "I daresay I'd like to see you like that. Given how passionate you get when we just talk on the subject, I can only imagine how wrapped up you get in the actual work." She flushed a bit, and turned to the table, taking a plate for herself and using the excuse of selecting food to distract herself. She hadn't just tried to invite herself on one of his digs, had she? She felt like it rather sounded like she had... she hadn't meant it to seem that way, she'd only meant... well, that... she sighed a bit, turning back to him with a full plate. She took advantage of the silence to take a few bites, and took advantage of the time spent eating trying to get her thoughts in line.
When he asked how she'd been, her brows knit in confusion, and she started to say that he already knew, but he pointed out that writing one another wasn't the same as talking in person. Was... was he making small talk? She found that she didn't know what to do with that idea; she was used to their discussions, after the pleasantries, taking a purely academic turn. Talking about history, about myths and legends and anything under the sun that was older than a century. Actually talking about her life with him... was new. And somewhat odd. It'd been different in letters; it hadn't been his voice in her ear, his face before her. Just letters, on a page. She realized that he was right; talking in person was quite different from the post. She took another small bite, chewing slowly, her expression thoughtful. "Well, it's been mostly normal. Boring, really. Helping my mother with editing, visiting with my father. He built me another bookshelf. Carved designs into this one; it's quite pretty, actually. When I was younger, he was much more... utilitarian, in his work. Straight edges, practical, functional, no artistry to it. Recently, though, he's started getting creative. I don't know what's gotten into him with that." She trailed off, pointedly ignoring the bulk of the conversations she'd had with her mother, who'd suddenly taken it upon herself to give Amata the age-old 'you're not getting any younger,' speech. More often than not over this holiday, the blonde had found herself hiding in her father's workshop, seated on a stool, hunched over a cleaned off area of his workspace, trying to edit while he worked the bandsaw. It was far preferable to hear that buzzing in her ears than the tittering of her mother, who was far, far to invested in Amata's love life all of a sudden. Or lack thereof, as the case may be. A case which the woman was trying to rectify... more than once, Amata had come over to find that her mother had company... usually an old friend of hers with a son who, oh, how about that, was just about Amata's age. It'd been insufferable, really. The willowy blonde would be happy to return to school and escape it.

The lot of them gracefully—and not so gracefully as Dominic nearly tripped over his own feet— had meandered towards the elaborate display of food to mingle in solace, and at least partially out of view from wandering eyes. Dominic was much too concerned with those elusive blue eyes as they sparkled something mischievous to notice much else. Oh Gods, she saw me, he bristled his nose at the look Grace had very nearly almost given him. The ‘I-saw-what-you-did-there-don’t-think-I-won’t-use-it-one-day’ had procured a lopsided grin from him. Whether it was because of fate, or pity, she didn’t pursue it. At least, not yet, anyway… All of this time he’d spent with her, and he still couldn’t feel the twinge of embarrassment about being so public and open and his friends friend being right bloody there.
Merlin, he needs more friends.
Ruffling his fingers through his hair, trying not to think of all the things that desperately needed changing in his life, he busied his fingers with a crumpet, and nibbled on it to keep from awkwardly spewing out the first nonsense that reached his mind. Seriously, he fought back the urge to roll his eyes, I’m the one that never gets to see my girlfriend, why are they the ones being all… bloody weird. He blinked.
”Uhh…” He blinked again. Sure, he was happy that Marina had spoken up, it gave him a little something to work with, but… not… really….. ”NEWTS? Already? Circe, you’re not still sore that I bested you in Wizard Law, are you?” He laughed, it was meant as a joke, really, it was. But it was only after he heard it aloud did he realize how git-ish it sounded. ”Sorry— not like that really counted, I’ve been on the inside of a few courtrooms before.” He shrugged, it wasn’t exactly his fault—they need to label the floors and doorways better at the ministry! He was bound to get lost eventually looking for the restrooms. He scratched the back of his head, feeling as awkward, if not more so, than Marina just had.
Glancing at Grace, almost looking for encouragement or support, or maybe even ignorance, that he was just blowing this all out of proportion just like he always does; he turned to the rest of them and gave a hollow laugh. ”Heh… but at least everyone finally woke up from that coma, right? That was ridiculously odd, can’t imagine what bloody mishap brought that along. I mean, is it just me, or are things getting… weirder?” He almost wanted to say something else, but it still felt too taboo to say. He wondered if maybe this was the wrong conversation to start, that this was supposed to be an enjoyable moment. And it was, right? So why was it so hard for it to be just that? But all it took was a glance over his shoulder to find his mother practically hurling dagger after dagger into the square of his back and… well… It wasn’t so hard to deduce that this was going to be a long night.

Dalila appeared in front of the manor, releasing the hands of her granddaughter and her date to adjust the shawl around her shoulders and to fluff up her hair. "I swear, apparating does the worst things to my hair." she said, turning to face the manor. It sure was nice. Much nicer than her little cottage in the hills. But she wasn't one to complain or covet. The old woman looked back at the children accompanying her. "Well, we best head up. I have a feeling we're already a little late." And with that, Dalila headed up towards the front entrance of the manor, smiling to the doormen as she passed through the doors. Annabeth blinked at her grandmother, and after taking Romy's hand in hers, followed her into the manor.
Once inside, Annabeth stared in awe at the glorious ballroom. It was magnificent! All decked out for the occasion and whatnot. Beautiful. Simply beautiful. "Wow..." she managed to say, just as Dalila started to walk away. Anna looked away from the decorated room to her grandmother. "Gramma, where are you going?" she asked. Dalila turned her head back to face her granddaughter. "I'm going to go sit down and chat with a few of colleagues. Can't be on my feet too long, dear. You go have fun with Romulus." she said before turning to Romy. "And boy, make sure she has a good time. Drag her out on the dance floor if you have to." she added with a wink before walking away and taking a seat a random table.
Annabeth blinked at her grandmother as she walked away from her. A good time? She could have a good time! Yeah!... Well... The girl looked up at her date, shrugging her shoulders and offering a crooked grin. "I guess we're on our own now." She had the urge to twirl her hair around her finger or bite at her lip, but kept herself from doing so. She was just so nervous, afraid that she would mess something up and look like a fool, and in front of Romy at that. She didn't want to look like a fool, for she was not a fool and would not stand to be seen as one. So to fight off the urge to mess up her fancy hair and makeup, Anna squeezed Romy's hand. "Sooo.... what now?" she asked. It wasn't like she was used to going to these types of things. She didn't know what to do first, so she would leave that decision up to Romy.

No adequate rationalization can be made for our solitude This evening, infant This evening, infant I have determined a justification For our mutual collaboration its difficult to stimulate your nervous system to condone hazardous conditions I will now sprint to the outer perimeter with you So we can descend in adoration
Romy cringed at the Apparation, not feeling very good after it was over. His stomach already felt awful before, but this... this had made it worse. He felt the imminent need to run off and sick somewhere, but he managed to keep what little composure he seemed to have. Anna's grandmother, who he believed was named Dalila, pulled them along into the home, to a large ballroom. He almost wanted to ask who in the world would be either formal or wealthy enough to have, or even want, a ballroom in their home. After a short epiphany, he remembered that the Bleiddiaid Manor had a rather large ballroom. In fact, he'd danced in the very ballroom. That's where he was taught, after all. It was at events like this that he felt grateful he had been demanded to learn. It made him laugh to realize his sister danced like an idiot, while he was quite professional. Then he realized something... Remy was able to dance and have fun, while he was very... tense about it. That was something he would never overcome, he feared.
Anna's grandmother went off to chat with some of her friends, leaving the two Gryffindors together. He was told to drag her to the dance floor, but she didn't look all too excited about it. She mentioned them being all alone, and he nodded, a bit... vigorously. "Reel it in, kid, you're scaring her." He grinned, slowing his nod. "Yes, on our own... mmhmm.... yea...." He swallowed hard, trying to remember what was next. Remy had mentioned something about close dancing, and Dalila had just confirmed the need for dancing.
When Anna turned to look around, he slipped his note cards from his pocket and flipped through them. When she looked back, he panicked, then hid them behind his back. Unfortunately, in his nervous, panicked state, a few of the cards fluttered to the ground. He waited again, then shoved the cards messily back in his pocket. A blush was on his face, one that made him appear to be quite guilty, even though he had done nothing wrong. In fact, he was doing things correctly, or so he hoped.
Anna asked what was next, and he bit at the inside of his lip. Why the heck wasn't there an agenda for this?! He thought back to the words of both his sister and chaperon, and glanced at the dance floor. Perfect. "Erm, well, your grandmother wanted me to ask you to dance, and for such a.. nice... lady... erm... I couldn't deny! Plus, I'd get to dance with such a beautiful young woman, I simply cannot resist." He grinned, squeezing the girl's hand. With rather small steps, he walked to the edge of the dance floor.
With wide eyes, he looked at her, secretly admiring her beauty. He had been very, very lucky to meet such a girl, much less befriend her. He was a bit intimidated by her beauty, since he felt he wasn't good enough to have such a perfect person. She was beautiful, wonderful, and all those other sweet words, but he... wasn't. He didn't think he was good enough for her, particularly since she wasn't nearly as... insane as he felt he was. He wanted to ask her, but something inside told him to wait on that particular question for now. He did, however, have a question to ask of the young woman.
"Anna, may I have this dance?"

Isabelle stepped into the ballroom, looking at the lavish decorations and all of the work the family had put into it. Everything was in place, the arrangement of glasses set up. When the wedding was to begin the glasses and and goblets would fill with Firewhiskey, Finely Aged Mead, and Butterbeer. She smiled as she looked around. The three House Elves had been just as busy as they had, preparing the Estate's manor for the guests. They had polished every surface until it was gleaming, cooked a meal feast, and set to work on cleaning their uniforms so they would look their best as they served the guests. The Wedding would be amazing. Ashley was organizing the last few things out in the Gazebo rose garden. To think her son was getting married today. She wasn't sure how to react. The roses were in full bloom, leading a path trough the rose garden to the gazebo beyond the ballroom. The wedding would start in the backyard, the group of guests seated around the gazebo. Soon the seats would be full of wedding guests. Eric was with Austin. The pair getting ready for the wedding. "You know Austin." Eric said. "I may not have been the best of fathers, all things considering. But you turned out better than I could imagine." Eric said. Austin smiled and hugged his dad. "Thanks Dad." Austin said with a smile. This was and will be the most amazing day ever. Austin was already dressed, waiting for the ceremony to begin. But the guests were not yet ready. Lukas smiled at Jinhai. "You know. You are probably the best thing to happen to Austin. He was such a shy quiet boy in Hogwarts, and now he's getting married and a successful business owner." he said as he adjusted his tie. The Roux Family was walking up the front steps. Yes, they had been here before, many times in fact - they had spent the last week in one of the cottages and been helping arrange for the wedding. They were all dressed rather finely. Blais, Brys, and Annabelle could easily have been picked out as part veela in the way their outfits seemed to glow only to increase their natural good looks. The Roux family made their way to the Garden and sat in their seats around the gazebo. The Wedding would soon begin.

  Sir Dante Prince
& Miss Rose Prince This was the place. The dark haired man stood looking up at the beautiful manor and wondered why he accepted the invitation when he had so much work to do. Perhaps it was a bit of nostalgia. Maybe it was to merely surprise everyone with his presence. He had been gone for nearly two years now, immersed deeply in his work. Even Rose had been a recluse and she too joined her brother. It was rare even now to find her not by his side. He refused to have her aid in his work despite her being more than capable. She was still innocent and needed to be protected. Grown as she was he didn't want her mixed up in the darker side of the wizarding world. The closest she'd get is standing beside her brother. And here they were. Rose convinced him to go mostly. It was a vacation she'd say. A break from the stress of his dubious life style. While he didn't mind the day to day stress of his work he did admit that coming here was nice. His curiosity got the best of him as well. How was all his school mates. "Shall we head in?" he asked his sister who stood beside him in a lovely gown. It was their mothers. Even though they had despised the woman Rose admitted her taste in clothing had been quite good and didn't want to throw them out merely because their mother had worn them. Rose wore them better anyhow. The young woman nodded and looped her arm with her brother's as they moved forward following the other guests. The invitation told them to wait near the gazeebo or the rose garden if they were to arrive early. Rose as her namesake suggested wished to see the garden and Dante obliged without question.
They found a bench near a bush of particularly fragrent roses and settled down merely watching the other guests come and go and did not mingle. If anyone wished to see them they could come to them. Doesn't matter how long it has been, Dante was still the same affluent Slytherin he'd been in Hogwarts though Rose had grown from the mousy Hufflepuff into a strong woman worth of the house name. Now Ben, Dante's son would not be found here today. He was at home with a nanny while they came. He was still young and would not understand the energy of a wedding and would more than likely cause trouble than be helpful. One day though they would all meet him, when he began his own days at Hogwarts.

It was a day many thought would never see the dawning of, a day even he believed could never come into fruition and yet it was here. The Brighton Estate had never looked more beautiful, even its night of its wondrous ball, with all the flowers in bloom and bright and lacquer color colors floating all around. Jinhai couldn't completely enjoy the enchanting setting as he was too busy being getting into his custom wedding robes and having his long hair brushed and tied back with a matching ribbon. Hearing Lukas's warming words coming from behind him speaking of the good he's down to Austin made him smile at the irony of it all. Everyone assumes that he was the one to draw the young boy out of his shell when it was truly the other way around.
He had been a distant dancing bud in the wind, hovering around everyone but touching no one nor allowing himself to be touched. A bud never believed to properly flourish into the blossom it could be, at least until he met his love. It had been like feeling sunlight for the first time after a long and frigid winter. Or a cool breeze following an internment in an immured space. He was his light of the sun, the cool of the air, the joy in his tears, peace within his soul, and love of his life. Today was everything and more than he could ever have hoped for. "Rewards of his own hard work and quality merits. All I have ever done is love him as he has loved me. No less and no more than that." Jinhai answered serenely. Finished the touches upon his robes he stood and gathered his hair and began the arduous task of braiding it while using his magic to weave several ribbons inside until his hair met the small of his back. Ensuring that there were no wrinkles on his garb but smoothing out of nervousness he turned his eyes onto the young uncle with his normally bright smile demure and slight. "How do I look?" he asked laughing lightly at his own apprehensiveness.
Stars in my sky: Lukas I'll keep it to myself thanks: This is it The way of the Far East: 10" Plum, with a Diricawl hair core The spirits within: No hat in the final outfit

Timothy walked into the door, feeling a bit nervous. This wasn't his office at school, nor was it his classroom or the Wizengamot. Instead, it was a wedding, the first that he would officiate at. Lukas has suggested him to officiate his nephew's wedding, and while Timothy was happy his boyfriend had suggested him, it did make it a bit awkward, considering he hardly knew the boy. Well, if nothing else, he would do his best. He flipped through some notecards he had brought along, studying each of them, and rereading what he was supposed to say. Garret's wedding, he had been best man at, but a wizard wedding was much different than that of his best friend's muggle one. He sighed, running a hand through his hair and looked around for the blonde Slytherin. Lukas had to be around here somewhere, right? Maybe he missed him coming in.

Isabelle smiled as everything inside was ready. And that was when she noticed the man arriving. She smiled and waved him over. "You must be Timothy. I have heard a lot about you." she smiled as she looked at the man. "Thank you for officiating my Grandson's wedding." she smiled. "Lukas is helping Jinhai get ready. Upstairs in the blue room. Second floor third door on the left." she smiled knowingly. Ashley greeted the guests as they came through the Rose Garden and towards the Gazebo.Showing them to their seats around the Gazebo. So far only relatives have arrived. She smiled as she saw a pair she did not recognize, most likely Austin's guests from school. "Hello. Can I have your names? I'll show you to your seats."Eric smiled as he looked at the reflection. "Well, I shall head down and see how the preparations are coming along. I will return when it is time to begin. Until then, just be patient." he said as he looked at his son as he left. Austin shook his head with a smile on his face. "Be patient. On a day like this?" he said with a chuckle. It was his wedding day after all, he would be with the young wizard he loved so much forever and always after today. It was a matter of hours until they were officially married. Lukas smiled at Jinhai's response. "Well whoever helped the other more, you two are amazing together." he said as Jinhai finished his robes and hair. "You look amazing, Jinhai. Austin is very lucky to have someone like you." he said with a smile. Lukas adjusted his own dress robes as he looked at the reflection. (( Wedding Guests please show up ;3; ))

  Sir Dante Prince
& Miss Rose Prince Dante looked up as Ashley greeted them and asked for their names so they could be properly seated. He stood up, as did Rose both as elegantly as their upbringing suggested and he nodded. "My name is Dante Prince and this is my sister Rose Prince"he said motioning to the woman beside him who gave a gentle nod in response. As they waited for her to seat them Rose let her eyes wander to look at the decorations about them. It was a lovely wedding and was sure to be magnificent when the true ceremony began. She could tell her brother was nervous, if but a fraction. He hadn't seen any of his schoolmates, even Xenos for the time he'd been delving into his work. She was certain he was anxious to see him again. Even she was hoping to see others that she'd missed, Yuan for one. "I do hope we are on the list"he jested though a touch of sarcasm was there as well. He would not want to be invited only to not be on the list.

A sincere artist is not one who makes a faithful attempt to put on to canvas what is in front of him, but one who tries to create something which is,in itself, a living thing. Tanna arrived at the wedding, slightly early from the looks of it, on the arm of her nearly three year long boyfriend Joey. She still found herself blushing when they made accidental eye contact or even kissed unexpectedly and she even found herself wondering how on God's Green Earth she managed to get a stable boyfriend before her twin! But then again, Tassy had been known to play the field just a tad, which probably led them to today. While the invitation had bee to both of them it was her boss that was getting married. Suddenly the night before she tells her she can't go for some unforeseen reason and asks her sister to take her place. Tanna hadn't been completely sure but she thought it might have had something to do with their relatively new male roommate. She didn't say so, she merely sighed and agreed and found herself having a floo chat with her boyfriend asking for a rather big favor. So, here she found herself in a dress she had actually forgotten she possessed, borrowed heels, and what felt like too much makeup but still happy because she got to spend at least some of the day with Joey. Whom she found rather endearing at the moment since they unconsciously dressed in the same colors. "Today look like a beautiful day for a wedding, doesn't it?" she asked him rather quietly with a soft smile. Joseph's arm was locked around Naitanna's as the couple made their entrance into the Brighton Estate for the wedding. Interestingly enough, the two of them seemed to have the same taste in clothing since they ended up wearing matching colours. "Yes, it does," he agreed before tilting Naitanna's chin up with one had and pecking her lips lightly. It was kind of surprising that this beautiful woman right in front of him has been by his side for the last three years. Who knew, maybe in a year or two, they'd be having their own wedding. If Joey popped the question, and Tanna said yes, a wedding during the summertime would be absolutely lovely.

Shin Sever My name is Shin Sever...I am not the Yongest, or the brightest son... ..I am the most hated, But I am strong. Former Slytherin > Shin walked in, dressed in a simple, yet elegant green and black sweater with a purple scarf underneath it he wore black dress pants with dress shoes. Underneath his sweater he had a dress shirt on, but he was cold. He also wore his gloves and his hair was in his face, but he was smiling. Truth was, Shin was happy to be here. He had not been to a party outside of school sense he was seven. It made him happy. He looked around, wondering if Tassy was going to come. ⁈BRAVE BUT TIMID⁉ Mood? Happy. Emotional state? Happy. Physical State? Still thin. Wants a pain potion.

Isabelle turned her attention back to the decorations. She smiled as with a flick of her wand the final touches were finished. "There we go!" she said with a smile as she tucked her wand into her handbag and went out the ballroom doors leading to the garden. Ashley smiled and nodded, looking over the guest list. "Ah yes, the Prince siblings, Your to be seated right up here. I will show you to your seats now. This way please." she said as she began down the path to the gazebo. She smiled and pointed them to a pair of seats in the second row on the left hand side of the entrance. "Here we are. Now if that's all good with you, I shall go help our other guests." she said as she moved back to the entrance. She turned to the couple, or well she assumed couple, they were wearing matching outfits after all, standing nearby. And a lone young man who looked about Austin's age. "Hello, names?" she said looking over the list again. Eric came down to the ballroom to find it all set up He smiled and headed out to the garden. "Is everything ready then?" he asked Isabella as he looked at her. "Just a few guests to show up still and we can begin." she replied with a smile. Austin smiled, gazing out the window at the gazebo, he saw a decent size of guests who have shown up so far, all the decorations in the summer sun looked beautiful and everything was perfect. "Soon. Very soon." he said softly. Lukas smiled as he looked at Jinhai. "I will go see how things are going, I will be back shortly." he said as he moved out of the room and downstairs. He found Timothy standing out in the hall not far away and smiled at him. "Good to see our officiate is here." he said with a chuckle. (( Wedding Guests please show up ;3; ))
