The dragon snarled, his tail lashing dangerously, his going over his ears in a desperate attempt to block out the sound. ARRGGG! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT SOUND, MAKE IT STOP! His head thrashed, as if trying to shake the sound from his ears. In his desperation, his jaws parted and he roared, maybe if he drowned out the sound...
All he accomplished was to knock a rock free from the ceiling, a rock which fell and crashed against his antlers.

Tyshina could hear the music and she attempted to cover her ears as best she could. "What is this!" she yelled out as she felt her person fall to her knees. The music was dreadful and it was somehow making her whole person feel hopeless. Like this whole fight was a waste of time and she should just give in now. "I won't .... I can't...." she whispered to herself as she attempted to fight the noise and stand up. How could one noise be so gosh darn irritating and depressing!
She wasn't sure how much more she could handle, until she began to look around. She could see students attacking other students - out of pure insanity. That was what the beast wanted and it was getting it. Though no matter what she was determined to fight it with all she had! This insanely irritating and provoking music, had to stop.

The singing proved too disorienting and painful for the tikbalang. Though he forced himself to stand and forced himself to shut the chimaera up, he came down with a bad case of vertigo.

Ulmuka was particularly sensitive to the song. His hearing was one of his most powerful assets and the wail of the beast absolutely crippled him. He'd been flying of course but came tumbling to the ground as the beast's song ripped through all of them.
Around him the students were experiencing a whole range of emotions but the strix was simply in distress. His head hurt, his body was immobilized, and all he could do was screech in distress, a despairing blood curdling noise, as he lay prone on the floor of the cave.

Tyshina slowly pushed herself off the ground and back to her feet. After looking at all the pain it was causing everyone, she refused to let it pin her down. If she could help it that is.
So once she got up, she could feel the fire burning within her. Since they had saved everyone, would a little fire hurt now? After all that music had to stop and even if she couldn't do much she was definitely going to do something.
She got a smirk on her face, covered her ears, and charged. What she would do when she got close she didn't know, but she hoped she would hit. Sure she was a first year, but ever first years could do something right, she thought to herself quietly as she quickly advanced. Once she got closer she did another flip in the direction of the attacker and then at last second she kicked the monster with all her might.

[Hadiyya is finally joining the party!]
Considering her nature, and her general reaction to cooler weather and snow, it wasn't any surprise Hadiyya was at the tail end of the group. Far, far behind the others. It had taken her twice as long as the others to march her way through the coldness to the bridge, and upon seeing no one around, had takene even longer to wonder where everyone had gone. It was actually very worrying. Although based on the crumbling remains of the icy crossing in front of her she was led to believe her fellow students had gone done, rather then across, and not exactly voluntarily.
Frowning, she stood on the edge of the ice and gazed down into the darkness, wondering if she should follow along or perhaps even go back and search for help. Granted, she had no idea what state her fellows were in, or if they even needed help. For all she knew this was where they were supposed to be headed..
Okay, perhaps not, but there could be people hurt down there, and she was a healer. She could help them, she just had to get to them.
Features hardening with resolve, the ghoul pulled her thick coat a little tighter around herself and, closing her eyes, stepped forward to drop into the cavernous dark.
WHen she landed, none to gracefully, there was only darkness and the small radius of light from her eyes reflecting of the ice, rocks, and bones nearby. Wait, bones?
And what was that noise? Music?
Glowing eyes went wide as the chimaera's song filled her hears and drove almost everything from her mind but despair. Her own voice rose up in a helpless whine, gloved hands coming up to curl fingers within dark hair at the sides of her head as she dropped to her knees and curled over herself. WHy was she here, she shouldn't be here. This was hopeless. They'd all gone off on some stupid crusade, and now they were all going to die.

The dark skinned priestess had been quiet throughout the whole of the trip thus far. She hadn't spoken to anyone, although she also hadn't drawn attention to herself either. She'd just been there, on the edge of the group, marching along with the rest of the horsemen and students as they followed along after the undead dragon. Vague she'd wondered why it was she'd decided to come along on this mission. Getting to know the students, her fellow clansmen? Seeing more of the world? Glory and riches? The last was almost laughable.
When they'd come to the brudge the woman had only made it a few steps before the ice had given way beneath her feet and she'd fallen into the dark. The bones they'd all landed on had not made for a very smooth landing, the few bodies of students already piled up had.
The rustling of bones had been unnerving. The appearance of the beast, unexpected. The song? Well, the priestess wasn't sure what to make of that.
It filled her head, invading, just like the ceaseless voices that plagued her every waking moment, and she could feel a familiar outrage welling up within her. She was furious at the Insanity and what it had made of her. Outcast, other, infected. And the music the beast was filling the cavern with played to that weakness, amplifying that anger ten fold until the death horseman was nothing but anger. There was no reason, no judgement, simply action.
A black blade formed in equally dark fingers, and before she'd even realized what she was doing she'd pivoted towards the nearest student and struck. IT was a ghoul she hadn't yet met, a demon with dark skin and hair and glowing eyes, and her blade had bit into the upper part of the ghoul's arm ,through the coat, and into the flesh beneath.

The famine horseman eventually rose, his bare feet blocks of ice attached to equally frozen legs. He had come here to help. He had to at least try. Mmur summoned his whip, its end dangling from his overly long coat sleeve like a length of metal sausages. He took a chilly breath and circled it above his head once, twice...
The chimaera's horrible song began, coaxing a gasp from the horseman's frigid lips. Mmur tried to resist the feeling of unending upset that clawed at his brain like the cries of his dying brethren. He managed for a time, but it wasn't long at all before he found his mind blanketed by a cloud of hopelessness so complete that it nearly made him shrink in on himself again, this time from sadness instead of cold.
He stood tall, his weapon at the ready, clutched so tightly that his tanned knuckles strained white against its handle. He didn't move, stunned into motionless silence.
HP: 40/40

He didn't have time to respond. One minute he was laid out flat on the stone floor and the next, a bracing wave of despair washed over him. West brought his hands up to his face and pushed the flats of his palms into his eyes, trying to forcibly push the sadness out.
"Nnnnnnngggaaah!" he whined under his breath. Where were all the steaks? A steak would definitely make him feel better. ;;

Then the deafening sound rang through Levi's white ears and the ghoul cupped her hands over them in a feeble attempt to keep the radiating sound waves from entering her head. All would prove fruitless as the tatzel gritted her teeth and began to vent out an aggressive hiss. Clutching her skull pin, Levi considered ripping it off, thinking that changing her form might lessen the blow to her eardrums. So the pin indeed came off. HIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS~A 36ft serpentine-like dragon with feline frontal features snaked in her place, shoulder blades arching and head low as the ghoul continued to hiss. No, she wasn't terribly giant like some of the other dragons, but the tatzelwurm was all tail and then more tail. In her fit of anger at the searing pain of the chimera's tune lingering in her brain meat, Levi spotted what was most familiar to her first and whacked at it with her tail. That meant a currently trapped wrath demon being freed via a whip from the tatzelwurm's tail. Yes, she only ~magically~ hit West. Magic. HP: 45/50

Staring from the sidelines, apparently distance was not enough to keep him away from the next spell.
That was probably due to his hearing abilities, having large canid ears would help with that. The melody that followed the silence was pretty at first... eery, but Remi loved music. It was something that soothed him, but this time it did something all together.
BAAAAAAAAWWWWWW.
Remi was hit with a wave of TOTALLY EMO EMOTIONS. So, what did he go? He went into his natural form, a german shepherd sized fox with 6 tails, and scuttled away to try and hide somewhere. His ears were pinned back, his tails droopy. He made little whiling sounds as he tried his best to look tiny and not intimidating at all. He couldnt protect himself..or his friends... or...

The piercing cry of the bone chimera! Tseng covered his ears for the moment, but found himself overwhelmingly charged with a burst of anger. Shaking his head violently he moved in on a certain Vetala.
"SHUTUP PUNCH!" he shouted while striking her.

The song of the beast caused Jericho to let out a sort of pain snarl. It was an incredibly distracting noise to be hearing while he was still in the air. Furthermore, it seemed to tug at the edges of his mind, pulling forth what was already there. Bits of flame escaped his mouth as he was struggling against it, but it was to no avail. The voices were practically screaming in his head.

"Next time... aim when you attack, but not bad for a start," he said flatly to the mermaid. Before much else could be said, the song cut through the air. What was this wretched noise? It was absolutely horrible. Shun wasn't sure if he had heard anything like it before. How did he make it stop? It won't stop. And it was driving him absolutely mad. Pain. Maybe pain will drown out this horrible noise. Without another thought, he brought his daggers up before stabbing himself, letting out a grunt as he did so. HP: 31 Damage: 9 to self.
