Her lip quivering, Roxie drew her hand that held her pick back. Her eyes met Ariyoul's and she could feel a lump in her throat that she struggled to swallow. Should he look into her eyes, he'd feel the heavy sense of desperation that Roxie expressed. Bringing her hand back over her guitar, she'd now be holding her guitar pick and the Ovis pin. Sniping Ariyoul with Ovis was practically impossible. But generating it through her sound waves, that might just work. Striking the strings, the electrified sound would be fired at Ariyoul. The guitarist had everything riding on this attack, in a true state of desperation. Roxie feel to her knees, trying to catch her breath.Roxie's Stats HP: 165/500

Ah... I'm so sorry. *HUGS* I'll hack into that pitiful firewall of yours... He smiled as he coldly gazed upon her determined and heavily desperate expression her visage exuded. Much like what he imagined his own visage also had, she bore the marks of dirt and sweat on her face. He was satisfied. This alone made him satisfied. The hacker watched her fire the electrified sound towards him, and gritted his teeth, swinging out the earlier-injured arm to catch the sound. He cringed, the recoil throwing him backwards, but through the pain, he could feel a pleasure. Why the laugh passed his lips now, he couldn't identify nor explain
"Is that all you can throw at me, little sparrow?" he singsonged, the tiniest, most silent gasp of unexpected pain slipping his tongue. As much as it tempted his conscience, Ariyoul resisted the want to retaliate, and sat in his corner, playing the role of the man that simply wasn't going to die. The chance of Roxie throwing another attack at him was low - very low - but had the girl not been as tired as him, even tireder, could he imagine, he could've been in far more fatal danger. The male simpered to himself.

Roxie couldn't even watch her attack play out, hoping it would just be the end of it. The cringe of defeat as she heard his voice brought tears to her eyes. It was over...what else could she do to defeat this man? At this point, she was as good as dea- err, erased. She was wide open to be attacked and yet, as she looked up, he didn't appear to be doing that at all. 'What's going on? Why isn't he attacking?' the girl pondered, still unable to figure this man out.Roxie's Stats HP: 165/500

(( anytime~ )) I'll hack into that pitiful firewall of yours... And it was obvious what kind of despair the girl was locked in - those trained, experienced eyes that Ariyoul so proudly donned were that deft in situations of detection. But the hacker was hardy, and he wasn't about to give in - not to a lightning bolt. He could clearly see the puzzlement in her face, confusion over the fact he wouldn't attack the girl. And he was broiling with the fact that he could feel the static exuding from the atmosphere.
"Do you want to die, little sparrow?" he lilted quietly, his smile flickering. "How the mighty have fallen."
He descended from his corner, tching at the unexpected pain he was met with. There - adjacent of him was Roxie. "Little sparrow." ...until I can destroy your system completely! Of course she didn't like the idea of being killed or giving up but she was literally out of options. She sat back, pulling her knees to her chest as she watched him. Ariyoul went back to taunting her, as she knew he would but then she saw it. Roxie happened to be paying attention and noticed him flinch when he came down from his corner. He was hurt and this whole time he'd been lying about it. 'That does seem to be his greatest skill...' Standing back up, the guitarist wanted to call him out on his bluff but since she couldn't exactly do that, she'd fight on. Her attacks must be working, otherwise he wouldn't be in pain and playing it off. 'I just need to stick to long range attacks' she pointed out.Roxie's Stats HP: 165/500

(( I am so terribly sorry for leaving this for so long. Are you willing to continue? )) I'll hack into that pitiful firewall of yours... She had succeeded in wounding him to an extent, but the male was acquainted with this sort of soreness, and if he was to conceal his deficiency of offense at the moment, then he would have to resume his bluff. Acquiescing himself enough liberty to snicker, the hacker slunk along the walls, his cold hues assessing his current situation. He was well aware that he was at a disadvantage, surmising the other was healthier, as she was expending less energy in destroying him, and that she had more of the offensive tilt of the table than he did. The puzzle pieces slowly linked together as he knit into completion a strategy - possibly a faulty one, but Ariyoul was bereft of a reason not to attempt such an outline.
Something's off, was the first thought that had bubbled to the surface that was his mind. She was most likely piecing together her own tactics to utilize against him and his weakened state - how he despised appearing like this - but patience is a virtue. Allow her to play out her own part of the show, then swing into action. Simple. Disadvantages were often the coin flippers in battle: his disadvantage will soon become his forte in the fight.
He was low on energy and stamina, so best he abstain from expending too much strength at any one point. To compensate his lack of a first move, Ariyoul decided to watch her. Roxie's own sepia-shaded eyes were watching him, as if she was absorbing his thoughts.
No matter. Leaning his weight against the wall that beckoned, the hacker frowned as he studied their state. Someone would have to break the silence... ...until I can destroy your system completely! ((CONTINUE? 10. 9. 8- Yes! Time to finish this!)) Roxie felt like she could actually win this again and she hoped this time it wasn't a false sense. She had the advantage here, she had the health but was clearly lacking in energy. It was tiring, "playing this game" with Ariyoul but it was almost over. The guitarist scanned the area, seeing what she could use against him and also a way to defend in case it didn't work. Looking at her opponent, she expected another taunt or comment but it never came. Surely he wasn't waiting for her to say something, otherwise they'd be waiting forever. 'Here goes...' she huffed, preparing her guitar. Striking it, she sent a sound wave toward Ariyoul but it curved up and hit the ceiling. Debris would now begin to fall down on the man if he didn't move.Roxie's Stats HP: 165/500

I'll hack into that pitiful firewall of yours... Surprise struck the male harder than any other initial emotion upon noticing that the ceiling above him was to crumble and crush him. This was an anticipated move - that attack had already been played out and something he was so, sadly, familiar with. Twisting his lithe body, he rolled away from the ceiling that let loose the pile of debris. Dusting off his clothes, wincing in the process, the hacker hissed with disgust. "Haven't you played that already, little sparrow? Why don't you try one of your other old songs no one wants to listen to?" came his low, hoarse voice, the intonation releasing the all but too accustomed cold attitude.
Bending a knee, keeping his right hand flat on the ground, Ariyoul retrieved his Yoshimitsu pin from his chest pocket. A couple swipes towards her probably wouldn't hurt, assuming her guitar would break under his force. He simply needed to recuperate, keep still for a little, then stride towards her in all ferocity he could muster in this pitiful state.
This "game" was almost over, and the strategical male was far more determined to exit victoriously. Ariyoul remained close to the walls, licking his dry lips, sated that the quiet ambiance was shattered.

The girl couldn't help but smile as her attack succeeded. With Ariyoul off the wall, he lost his crutch to stand and now had to resort to crouching on the ground. He, of course, mocked her for using the same strategy as earlier but it was still an effective one. Roxie saw him taking out a pin and instinctively hugged her guitar close to her chest for reasons unexplained. 'He's going on the offensive now. Ok...' Releasing her guitar from her vice grip hug, she held in preparation for an attack. At Ariyoul's lyric comment, she pouted at him before sadly sighing. Not being able to talk was hard enough without being teased about it.Roxie's Stats HP: 165/500

I'll hack into that pitiful firewall of yours... It was palpable she was anticipating an attack. If that was what she expected, then that's what she will get - after all, women always get what they want, don't they? The hacker smiled faintly, testing his legs by alternating hops on them before bolting towards her, the positive pin's ability almost overlapping the male's hand. Exhaling, he struck the guitar instead of Roxie, in efforts to throw the guitar out of her hands. There was possibly more failure than success in the attack of his, but so long as Ariyoul was alarmed, it was enough.
Leaping backwards, shoving the blade pin into his pocket, he breathed lowly, slight tiredness already tinged on his limbs. He had been so able, but it seemed that last strike had took quite a bit out of him. Drawing back slightly, Ariyoul rummaged within his pocket for Ovis - best he just use the rest of it while it was still alive. For later, of course: he knew his own limits.
"Hah... It's almost funny, how I can't be pierced by your words, but you can die from mine," he lilted, the ram pin between his fingers. ...until I can destroy your system completely! Roxie moved to counterattack but Ariyoul proved to be too quick for her. His strength far surpassed her own and came at no surprise when he knocked the instrument from her hands. No, the surprise came when the guitar hit the ground and a hairline fracture appeared on its body. An inaudible gasp came from the girl as she placed a hand over her mouth. 'My guitar...its ruined. No...my guitar...my guitar' she repeated to herself, tears welling up again. Any other guitar she'd feel a little upset about but this one held sentimental value. This guitar was a gift from her younger sister whom she loved very much. More than anything, she wanted to speak again, to sing but not just for herself... Clenching her fist, she tried to think of a way to fight now, staring Ariyoul down with watery eyes.Roxie's Stats HP: 165/500

"Unfortunately for you," Ariyoul drawled lowly, daring to step forward a couple steps, "it seems that nuisance of an instrument is finally out of the picture. Perhaps you'll muster up the last of your bravery, and use pins for what they're worth." He narrowed his eyes darkly; in all truth, the guitar couldn't possibly be that broken, now that he assessed it from afar, but perhaps it was the fact he had fractured its frail, wooden body that had her cowering. "Cowering" was an incorrect term, however, as he examined the girl; no, he had to take other liberties in his hands if he were to deal with this female. The first was the guitar - the next would be her pins. How to disarm her, he wasn't quite certain, but there was far more to be done than said.
The hacker remained still, watching the girl with alarmed eyes. He had her angry at him, and the previous episode of alacrity seemed to never have existed. Tacitly, he inched closer, still keeping his dark hues on her. Now that the "world had ended" - and because females tended to be so fickle - he had to be wary, more than before. He raised Excalibur, firing once. ...until I can destroy your system completely! 'Use pins for what they're worth?' Roxanne repeated to herself. She could barely use pins like a normal person would, not that they were too effective against Ariyoul anyway. The only way to defeat him was with her soundwaves; with her guitar. Sure it had a fracture which would alter its beautiful sound but it could still do what she needed it to now. Retrieving the instrument was the most important thing at the moment. Her eyes remained trained on Ariyoul, keeping a close watch on his hands and feet as they were what he attacked with. The moment he raised his hand with a pin in hand, she lunged for her guitar. Roxie successfully dodged the lightning bolt and reclaimed her guitar. With her guitar pick, she struck the strings and fired upon Ariyoul's ears.Roxie's Stats HP: 165/500

I'll hack into that pitiful firewall of yours... The hacker clicked his tongue with disappointment, inhaling slowly. His bolt had been eluded, obscured and disappearing with finesse as it struck a wall. Brilliant. Ariyoul brushed his hair back, but not before moving a second too late. He let out a sharp but silent and brief utter of pain, leaping backwards. His icy eyes were narrowed dangerously as he glared at the girl. It was true that the guitar's song was distorted and no longer as pleasant as it had recently been - he almost regretted breaking it, if it weren't for the sound - but he'll soon adjust to it, he was certain. The male spat, backing until he neared a wall. He'd have to slink around the structures until she struck again.
Holding his tongue as well as clearing his face, he allowed no trace of pain to cross his visage. If anything, he must remain... monotonous. Like blue screens when computers went mutiny against their human masters. He switched his Excalibur for his single Positive pin. He had used his favorite move far too often for his liking, and he was somewhat disappointed - if it weren't for her meddling and mouse-like movements, he wouldn't have had to utilize it at all.
No matter. Once he recovered his strength, he'll use it again. He was back against the wall - but in a good way, if anything. ...until I can destroy your system completely! Standing up, she clutched the neck of her guitar and watched Ariyoul. It worked, just as she had suspected...no, like she knew it would. Ariyoul went staggering back to the wall but he was planning something. He was switching pins for his next attack and she would need to do the same. Taking out her Lolita Chopper and Lightning Rook, she held it in her hand that held the neck of the guitar. With her pick in her other hand, she was prepared for whatever was coming next. She had to end things quickly... 'Just a little while longer... Stay calm. You can do this Roxanne' she told herself. Roxie's Stats HP: 165/500
