Showing his teeth, Hanir kicked the blue wher again. He was not a violent man by nature, but some things you just had to fight for.

The lash of the whip, and the talons of the other wher hurt but he was not to be put off; these bad people were trying to push out the riders. Hanir's mate was a rider. They would not let it happen!

Celandine, Attacking Hanisk
This wasn't fair at all. This traitorous handler coming in halfway through the fight and setting not only his wher, but himself upon her already-injured wher? Nevermind that she might have done the same, it was just not okay when someone did it to her. Scowling, she swung the whip at the enemy blue a second time, hard and angry. "You leave him alone!"

Showing his teeth, the tall man turned on the woman with the whip. "Fine, then let's make this between us humans!" All of this was going wrong. He hadn't heard from Y'vor's Onth in an age, or so it felt. Giving another battle cry he swung a fist at her. He wouldn't lose, he couldn't afford that.

[Hanisk: Defending against Celandine]
The repeated attacks were far too painful to take, and hissing and snapping the pale blue recoiled from the strike of the whip. He tried to blink, but the lid on the right didn't work. The wher squealed and retreated a few steps; his eye!

That was not exactly what Celandine had intended; while she didn't like to see Celandsk taking a beating, she didn't want to take one herself! She wasn't made for this kind of thing! After taking the hit hard to her shoulder, she lashed the whip at the man this time instead of his wher. Hers was on his own again for now.

Celandsk, Attacking Hanisk
Given a brief reprieve thanks to his handler, Celandsk took a moment to shake himself off. He was breathing heavily, beginning to struggle a bit, but he couldn't give up now! He had to finish this other wher, and then help Celandine with the bad handler. She was hurt, too, and she needed his help!
With renewed vigor, he lunged forward to claw at the other blue.

O'thor
Defending from Kesisk - Falling unconscious
Being attacked by wher and human was too much for O'thor to protect himself against. He collapsed and fell unconscious, his last thoughts concern for what would happen to Orlina without him present to protect her. He thought, in the second before darkness, that he could hear Adamanth calling to him.

Jordan tried to defend against the whip strike, but it was too much for him. He groaned faintly as his eyes rolled back and he collapsed to the ground before he was able to retort. Stupid b***h...

Kintin
Attacking Kesin
Kintin just stared at the young man, angry and disgusted. He had thought Fick might be a good handler, but this rebellion was going to show everyone's true colors, it seemed.
"There's no truth that can convince you. You're no better than the rest."
The whip took him by surprise and cut into his arm. Teeth clenched, Kintin noticed the only other boy who had been left capable of attacking in this end of the hallway crumple. Vicious. Heart-stoppingly vicious.
However, the handler looked as if she were on her last legs as well. Kintin abruptly lunged toward her and cracked her in the back of the head with his fist. Making her see stars would take her out of this fight, at least briefly, and thus bring down one of the many weapons the wherhandlers seemed to have stockpiled.

Attacking Ficksk
Then hate us! Kintsk replied as he drove the Green away from the human she had been attacking. Do not be bad wher from fear! Do not hurt good humans! Be strong, not stupid!
Shortly after striking out at Ficksk, Kintsk bellowed as an unfamiliar fellow Bronze laid into him with teeth and claws. He turned his head to the Bronze, hissing viciously. He had made him miss!
Coward wher!

Riarna
Attacking Lyret
Orlina's warning came just in time, and Riarna avoided the crazed wher that had attacked her earlier. This was... a nightmare. Riarna forced back the part of her mind that asked how such a thing could be happening on a planet where murder was unthinkable and punch Lyret just as he was aiming a kick at Orlina.
