If you’ve leapt into the bush, then your hiding skills are admirable. The Pokémon, unable to find you, eventually leave you behind and go to another part of the grass to try and make the place a little more presentable for more eager ten-year olds.
If you’ve turned back from the tunnel/water, you find yourself once more in your hometown. Professor Poodletree sees you and lets you know it’s a good thing you’ve taken it slow – other trainers have run out into the unknown as soon as they got their starters, tried to tackle Pokémon too much for them, and then returned home hahaha how silly goodbye trainer, she finished eloquently before going inside her lab. You cough, make sure no one witnessed the scene, and then head towards the tall grass.
No matter where you came from, as you try to get through the grass to the town you know is past it, you see the a Wigglytuff (Colored by Syaoran.), Electabuzz (Colored by yeomso.), and even a Diglett (Colored by bull, edited by AV.) with their butts turned towards your admiring eyes. You’re at the advantage here now, so you:
A1. Battle! It may be three powerful and wild Pokémon against just you (seeing as your starter fainted a while ago, whether it be from your earlier encounter with them, a Koffing’s fumes, or a Slowpoke’s attacks) but a chance like this doesn’t come often!
A2. You’ve learned your lesson and hightail it to town!
1B & 2A
If you’ve come from the tall grass, you reach the town, out of breath but alive. The sight of your flailing, retreating limbs caused the Pokémon pursuing you to laugh long enough for you to get out safely.
If you’ve come from town, you’re super slow.
In either case, you’re at the fringe of town when—oooh! There’s things on the floor! They appear to be a Water Stone (Colored by mangs.), Poké Ball (Colored by Yumi.), and Great Ball (Colored by Yumi.). You stuff them into your pockets and:
This is an open route! Please choose one of the four other options provided.
2B & 3A
You emerge from town/the tunnel to a higher-level route. To congratulate you, a complete stranger hands you an Ultra Ball (Colored by Yumi.). The stranger then giggles, pleased, and runs away. You hope it’s not poisoned, rigged, an explosive, or a scam, but at least it’s free! Stuffing it down your left sleeve for reasons known to no one, you continue on your way. You soon realize this route is full of apparently nice people, though, because you’re given a Fire Stone and a Leaf Stone (Both colored by mangs.), too! You’re wondering if you’re being duped, but they feel nice weighing down your sleeves, and you can’t bear to reject them.
B1. You continue walking along, accepting items with shining eyes.
B2. You came here to train! Sprinting past the remaining people so as to better avoid gazing at the items they want to give you, you make it to the next route and search for strong Pokémon as you intended to.
Note: If you were rolled, you may choose between one of the prizes from your section (if you do, please post here stating which one you took!) or opt to have a new winner rolled for.
There’s only Pokémon and Items left to give away. One path will take you to the Pokémon and the other to the Items, so choose what you’d like!
