Ginny shook her head and smiled. "No, it's not too late," she told him. "We can ride these barrels and then we can leave." She watched the ride slow down and waited for everyone to get off before she and Chris were allowed to choose their barrel. As long as I pick up Alex before nine, I'll be fine...

He pulled Ginny along with him, getting into the barrel with with a green gate. "Riders! Keep all hands and feet in the ride at all times! If you want to go faster, you're gonna have to make some noise!" he said and people started screaming and yelling, cheering to go faster. Before the ride started, Ginny stretched her arms and legs out just to be a rebel, but when the ride started to move she quickly pulled them back in. "I might take you up on that offer," she said, feeling the ride begin to spin faster. When it reached its top speed, she wrapped her arms around one of Chris's and closed her eyes. She screamed and laughed, enjoying herself but at the same time wishing it was over. She was not a huge fan of spinning rides but would go on them if she had someone to go with.

"Feel good to have a strong, macho man?" he teased, chuckling. Chris had always loved spinning rides. He could go on them before, after or even during eating. He never got dizzy. It didn't give him a rush, really, it was just fun to go that fast. Soon, much to Chris's chagrin, the ride stopped. When she felt the ride coming to a stop, Ginny finally opened her eyes again. She got off with Chris, glad that the ride was over but disappointed that her time with Chris was at an end. She could not remember the last time she had had so much fun, especially with a guy. It was definitely a nice change in pace. Ginny smiled sadly and took Chris's hand ready to walk with him through the fun park and then back to the diner. It would be better for him to drop her off there so she could pick up Alex and take him home without Chris knowing.

Ginny laughed. "It's fine!" she said, squeezing Chris's hand back. "I don't have a car, either. Not just because I can't afford one, but because this town isn't that big and I enjoy walking." She smiled up at him and rested her head against his arm as they continued walking. When the reached the diner, Ginny heard Chris's question and looked at his puzzled expression. "Because I forgot to do something before I left today. I live only a couple blocks away, so I figured it would be alright if you just dropped me off here."

Ginny smiled and placed a comforting hand on Chris's arm. "I'll be fine, Chris," she said honestly. "I've made the walk dozens of times at an even later hour than this." Like at 10:45 p.m. to make it to her hotel job or even 4:00 a.m. to get to the studio. Now that she thought about it, she was only going to get less than two hours of sleep before she needed to wake up again. Ginny groaned internally, hoping Chris would not continue to be stubborn.

Ginny chuckled nervously as Chris took a step closer. Taking his hands, she look up into his eyes and shook her head. "Sorry... but I don't believe in kissing on the first date." Smiling, she stood on her tiptoes to give Chris a kiss on the cheek. "I had a great time tonight. Maybe we can do something again soon...?"

Ginny laughed softly at Chris's questions. "I guess," she said in response to the first. "And only if you want to. I don't want you spending more money than necessary." She winked and wrapped her arms around him in a quick hug before pulling away and giving him a quick wave. "Tomorrow then!" And with that, she pulled out her keys to the diner and headed inside.

He trekked home, whistling a random tune. It had been a perfect night. Ginny was great; beautiful, smart, funny and everything he wanted in a girl. When Chris got home, he changed into his pajama's and went to sleep, thinking about where he would take Ginny tomorrow. A big smile crossed his face as he got an idea. Ginny waited for a few minutes before looking out the window to make sure the coast was clear. When she saw that Chris had left, she hurried outside and locked up the diner to pick up Alex. She apologized to the daycare woman multiple times before taking her son home and tucking him into bed. Sighing softly, she changed into her pajamas and climbed into bed with him, smiling as she brushed some hair from his face. She had had an amazing time with Chris and although she had only known him for a short period of time, she was beginning to really like him. He was sweet and funny and a bit of a dork, but there was nothing wrong with that. Closing her eyes, Ginny slept soundly for two hours before her alarm went off to wake her for her hotel job. Although she was exhausted, she managed to get through the five hours in a good mood; memories from last night gave her the energy to go on. After dropping off Alex at daycare, Ginny smiled as she walked to the radio station, eager to please Chris on her morning show.
