Needle resisted the urge to clap excitedly when he agreed, merely leaning back to let him shift (cringe!) and ruffle as he would to make himself comfortable. After a while she couldn't help the giggle that escaped her lips, her hand pressing against it to try and stifle it. It was like nothing she had seen experienced before, and she believed the word for it was adorable.
She wasn't sure though, so she merely stayed quiet.
Once he announced he was ready she shifted forward to sit on a taloned foot, letting her arms fall to rest on her lap as she leaned and cuddled into his fluff without them. The bombs, unaccustomed to being awake at this hour, were slowly going out again, dimming the light. "Thank you..." She murmured sleepily, nuzzling briefly into his downy body.

The strix had no answer for her. As soon as she snuggled up to him he enclosed her in his wings, cradling her as best he could. By the time her thanks came he was already hooting sleepily with even breaths and closed eyes.
