Katriel smiled at him and then crawled out of bed. "It's my day to make breakfast for you," she declared. She whipped together a batch of pancakes and a pot of tea. She slathered the pancakes with butter and add honey to both, and brought breakfast backinto bed with her. It was a little dangerous considering her dream but she forced herself not to look at him. instead she starred out the window at Yellowstone forest while she drank her tea.

 Ray smiled when his alpha said that it was her day to make breakfast, he hoped it be pancakes again. When he smiled the gooey yumminess that is pancakes his mouth watered and as soon as Katriel had given him his plate and tea he started to eat it not noticing that Katriel wasn't looking at him. Once he was finished he whiped his mouth on his hand and turned to look at his alpha, "You ok Alpha Katriel?" he asked her quietly, he was concerened about his alpha.

"I just had a weird dream," she said, flashing him a smile. "So what do you want to do before moonrise? We can hike or shop or nap."

"What was your dream about?" Ray asked her, he wanted to know why she called the dream weird. He thought on her question and knew his answer "I'd like to nap if theres a full moon tonight." he said in the hopes that she would tell him about her dream.

Katriel didn't want to reveal the contents of the dream not because she was overly embarrassed by it--moon dreams were common especially around the full moon--but because she didn't want to push him. At the same time, she was a horrible liar. Besides, he'd have to confront some things eventually. That first rule she'd made was starting to annoy her. "It was about you," she admitted, blushing again. "And it was very nice. Just...not...how we are now. If that makes any sense."

Ray had waited patiently as Katriel seemed to think on how to answer him, he was curious as to why a sequence of images would make her not want to look at him. When she said it was about him but not just how they were he became extremely confused "It doesn't make any sense," he said to her trying to understand it "sorry but it just doesn't at all"

Katriel's blush deepened and she started into the bottom of her cup. "Let's just say that in my dream, you were breaking rule one like it didn't exist. And I wasn't complaining. In fact, I was encouraging you."

Ray blushed at the thought, he would never break a rule that his own alpha had made and the fact that she encouraged him to in her dream made him blush even more. He looked down towards the bottom of the bed wondering what she could be thinking. "So I broke a rule and you're not going to punish me for it?" He knew that she was going to say something about him not deserving a punishment as it had only been a dream but he secretly wished that she would at least after he had done some 'business' that he needed to do. "Just nipping to the loo, ok?" he kind of asked as he got out of bed and headed towards the bathroom.

Katriel was surprised that he seemed to expect punishment for something so obviously not his fault. She was even more surprised by the note of wishful thinking she caught in his voice. Did he want to get roughed up? At the same time, part of her knew that she was sending mixed messages. She was acting somewhat motherly but he was full grown. She was the alpha but unmated and without competition, he was sliding into a role he didn't deserve. It wasn't necessarily his fault--it was the wolf in him--in them both. She had to do something to reassert her dominance. So she slipped out of bed and waited by the bathroom door.

Ray quickly finished his buisness and washed his hands, he wondered if Katriel had caught the slight wish of a punishment. He looked at himself in the mirror and frowned, she wouldn't want him. Shouldn't want him! he wasn't worthy of having her. He smiled, however, as he thought of her. She was still his alpha no matter what. He left the bathroom slowly feeling quite awake now.

Katriel pounced on Ray as soon as he opened the bathroom door and pushed him to the floor. She sat on his back, straddling his hips, as she held his shoulders down. He couldn't see her face, but she was grinning. Rough play--which translated to wrestling in human form--was a normal way to assert dominance. She wasn't going to hurt him, but he'd still get the message. "So I guess you like living under my roof," she said, her voice light and conversational even as she kept him immobile. "Anything you want to confess before we go back to snuggling in my bed?"

Ray yelped as soon as he was pounced upon, he was not expecting his alpha to do that! At the feel of her straddling his hips he groaned, worst part was he couldn't turn around to see her. Was she wrestling with him? He thought carefully, normally wolfs had a dominant male and female right? being the only male in their little pack surely that made him a dominant wolf to? He sighed quietly to himself, wasn't it obvious that he did indeed like living under her roof? "Yes I like living under your roof and I think I should be alpha male" He said calmly and clearly, if he was right then he ought to be alpha male while she alpha female. ((ooc: pretty sure that is how wolfs live...))

Katriel laughed, delighted. "You certainly have spunk, but Alpha is not a democratic position. It's something to fight for. Are you prepared to fight me?"
((Yes, that is how it works in a pack. The alpha pair is also the only mating pair. Wolves pair off with those of similar strengths.))

Ray listened to Katriel as she spoke, surely he should fight another male for the right? Unless he was wrong that was what he thought it ought to be but if she wanted it then he was willing to give it. With his alpha female on top of him still he knew he had to be clever in his attack. "What would happen if I said yes?" he questioned her as he put his hands under his chin. ((ooc: yay xd ))

Katriel leaned over him and murmured in his ear, "Say it all you want, Ray-Jay. Talk is cheep!" She took his ear between her teeth and tugged it gently before letting it go.
