If you ginie were to grant you the wish of instantly learning 17 diverse languages on expence of you losing your native language, would you make that wish?

If you ginie were to grant you the wish of instantly learning 17 diverse languages on expence of you losing your native language, would you make that wish? sure I would do it (I don't like my native language)(english) what would you do if the language you were learning started to dropping in number of native speakers , by the time you got there the language became a speaker of 1 person(other than you)?

I'd wonder why I was learning the language in the first place. Then I'd remember how I love languages. Then I'd use it to insult people! biggrin Or attempt to teach them. What would you do if your native language suddenly became useless, and you needed to speak another one?

You sorta forgot one... >_>;;; (What's your siggy say?) ooops! what would you do if you were forced to forget all you know about foreign languages or you would be killed? my siggy says(in order) the 1st one say in danish "I Support Denmark" the 2nd one says in "I love boys" in Norwegian the rest say " I think therefore I am" in Swedish, Norwegian, and Russian

There's no way in hell I'm forgeting what I've learned. I've come too far to just simply "forget" about it.

If you passionately wanted to learn arabic but your family strongly prohibited it because they viewed it as "unpatriotic" would you listen to your family or go after your dream.

I mean no language prohibits you to be yourself. Now if your talking about a certain culture than ya. Umm.....idk. Would you want to learn latin even though it's a dead language?

I laugh at this question rofl rofl: rofl rofl I would try not to speak my native tongue! what would you if the language you were learning started to add for Dialects and slang by the time you got to that country you couldn't understand what anyone was saying?

I'd do the same thing I already do when I go to a country where I don't understand the language! I'd wing it.
What would you do if you had to decide between living in your home country and living in your spouse's country where you do not know the language?
