 Just as Urza was about to give up on the hand seal she closed her eyes. Folding her hands in her lap she prayed once more. It always worked on clearing her mind, and after she always felt a little refreshed. Urza mumbled the words to herself as she kept her eyes closed, opening up her spirit. With a strong Amen at the end she returned to the scoll, it took her mere seconds to figure out to correct figure contortions to form the seal correctly. There were only four left, with any luck the three would finish around the same time. Urza looked at Miyako and Alucard, two more friends in this class of misfits. "I would say winner to the top of Mt Oto gets to pick where we eat, and the loser has to pay?" Urza smiled at the two. ╚══════.♥.═╝Miyako looked at the monkey handseal. She placed her hands together and looked at the picture. Something was off, but she couldn't tell what... but she knew something was, it just didn't seem to click. She gave a sigh. I think we should burn these things after were done with them... She looked over at Alucard with an angry face, and then returned to an emotionless one. "I wouldn't mind. Anything that can get me ahead." She looked at Urza as she spoke, "Alright, we have a deal." This was going to be the beginning of a good friendship... or rivalry, whichever way you looked at it.

 Alucard Loung Witsun
Hp: 8, Cp: 2, MHp: 11 Learning the Hand signs Bird: Tori Boar: Ousu-buta Dog: Inu Dragon: Ryu Rabbit: Usagi Horse: Uma Ox: O-ushi Monkey: Saru Ram: O-hitsuji Rat: Nezumi Snake: Hebi Tiger: Tora Dice roll+ Modifier of 0 = total vs Dc of 10 pass/fail 8/12 failed Sitting there silently he seemed to be aggravated as he ripped the scroll in half as his arms were on the scroll trying to keep it open. He also had messed up what he was reading for that was where the rip originated from. Grumbling a lot, Alucard sat back and got relaxed a bit, before thinking on what he was going to do now. Pointing towards Miyako. "Can we share?" he asked as he slightly lifted his torn scroll up. Feeling frustrated Alucard waited for a answer as he sat back relaxing a bit as he was trying to calm down instead of yelling and cursing up a storm. It was habit of his to go on a cursing tantrum when he couldn't get things done correctly. So it was tough for Alucard to not do this. "What race?" he asked Urza and Miyako as he might consider joining them for he did not have anyone else to hang with besides Mido. But even then it was iffy, and Alucard did not want to get lost in the city. Figuring Miyoko and Urza would not ditch him at the drop of a hat.

Urza looked around as she heard the tear of paper, a little alarmed. Right as she was about to ask Miyako or Alucard if they had seen who had done it she spotted Alucard holding up the two halves to an otherwise perfectly good scroll. She couldn't help herself from laughing a bit. "I don't mind sharing mine." She stood up and moved closer to Miyako and Alucard so that if either one needed to look they could. "And me and Miyako were planning a race to the top of Mt Oto, I would be honored if you joined in our race." Urza gave Alucard the soldiers salut, putting her fist over her heart and nodding her head slightly, "That is, if Miyako doesn't mind a bit more competition."❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Hp: 10/10 MHp: 9/9 Cp: 2/2 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ 8 - 1 = 7 Fail Learning the Hand signs

╚══════.♥.═╝She snapped her fingers and a light went off in her head. She had her hands backwards! It was right, but not quite. She made the seal again, just to be sure, and there it was, the next seal, completed. She heard the rip of paper, and someone else must have been frustrated, and honestly, she didn't blame them. She noticed it was Alucard and gave a chuckle. Sensei will no doubt be upset that a scroll is now garbage... this will be interesting... Urza had already shared her scroll before Miyako could respond, and she invited Alucard to the race, "More the merrier... lessens the chance that you have to pay when you lose," she said with smile. She took a quick peak at the next one, Hm... this one shouldn't be too bad...

As he was sitting there he spaced off again as he was thinking on what to do. 'Wonder how the run will, be and how strenuous it would be. Also how much food am i going to eat when i do get food.' Alucard had thought as he sat there leaning back forgetting about the training and wondering if the teacher will get mad at him. Not caring at the moment he chuckled softly at nothing as he seemed to have snapped a bit from thinking to deeply on his own, but came back quickly as he had fell out of his chair onto the floor. "Ouch," Alucard said as he slowly stood up and got back into his chair as he went back to focusing on the scroll.

Urza closed her eyes talking in a deep breath, it was time to buckle down and get the hand seals learned. Kina had been well done by now and it was only a matter of time before she helped her fellow classmates to victory. Opening her eyes she looked at the scroll. The next seal for Urza was the ram. Step by step she followed the scroll until she wound up with her finished product. As she looked at the scroll however she could tell something was wrong. Some minor little detail was off and Urza couldn't for the life of her figure it out. She decided to take another stab at it so releasing the seal she started back from square one. Once more she went step by step through the pictures until she wound up with her final seal, however as she looked at it she could tell it was still gravely misshapen and wrong. What is it? Urza asked herself, trying to wrap her brain around the error she was making. Unable to find it she tried once more, going slowly so that she could figure out what she was doing wrong. For a third time however she found herself unable to find the error. Urza released the seal once more and prayed for help. Her answers always seemed to find her in her prayer. So for a fourth time Urza attempted the seal and as she reached the final step she compared it to the picture, it was perfect. And if she had just switched pinkies on her first try it would have been correct. Growling a lot, Alucard stood up fully as he decided to stand instead of sit. Standing there he read from the scroll and started to form O-hitsuji and as he did this Alucard spoke soft, "O-hitsuji," he said as he was making the hand sign quickly. As he stood there he started to go down the list. "Tori, Ousu-buta, Inu, Ryu, Usagi, Uma, O-ushi, Saru, O-hitsuji," As Alucard said each word he form each hand sign according to the descriptions in each one. For he was going over them quickly before he would go to his next one. As Alucard read the next one he formed the hand sign as he read it in the scroll. "Nezumi," Alucard said as he formed the hand sign slowly. As he got to the next one Alucard took his mind off of it, as his brain was going blank for he was getting tired at what he was doing. When he walked away slowly he looked out the window smiling softly as he was wanting something to chew on. Reaching into his pocket he had pulled out the city map as he decided to try and figure things out a bit, since he was getting very frustrated with the scroll since he had failed his hand sign again and was having trouble figuring the word out and pronouncing it fully. As he stood there reading the map he scratched his head slightly. After a few moments of reading the map, Alucard placed it away as he stood there very frustrated as he wanted to take out someone. Going over to Mido, Alucard seemed very tense and slammed his hand down on the table slightly as he wanted to get attention a bit with Mido. "Oy man what is thing about calling bro?" Alucard had asked as it was something on his mind for a while. Mido looked at Alucard as he went to explain. "It is when men are buddies and they call each other bro as a way to talk to each other for they are buddies, bro." Mido said as he hoped that Alucard understood. Alucard may have been called Skull Kid by Mido, but he was still very slow at things as he was never used to school situations and was not used to being around others as much. While Alucard was looking at the scroll he was nodding softly as he was understanding slightly. "Bro, help show where food is," He had asked Mido for directions to a place to eat at. Mido nodded as he started to point at different spots on the map after Alucard pulled the map out. As Mido was showing Alucard where the maps were it seemed as if Mido was up to something for he was pointing at places to eat that were not food stands

╚══════.♥.═╝Miyako decided to remain to herself and give herself as much focus to get these done with them. She looked at the seal. It seemed more difficult than she originally thought. She sighed and was about to slam her hand on the desk, but thought better of it. Oh am I going to have a field day... I'll burn these scrolls so he has to teach everyone else one by one himself! That'll show him...
She sighed and looked back down at the rolled up paper. She decided to keep going. Sure she was always up for the challenge, but the amount of time on this was ridiculous! She took it slowly and she eventually got the ram handseal down. Thank heavens... only three more and then I'm done with these things... What she really wanted to do was learn jutsu and work on a puppet... that would be exciting.
For now, however, she was stuck in this building... reading from a scroll... that was utter useless. She moved to the next one to find it similar to the one she had just completed. Well would you look at that. A bit of luck... She made the seal and nodded her head in approval. She looked at the other two. Alucard was at the same spot as her, and Urza was one behind. They had done pretty well to remain at the same spot. Perhaps they fit well together...
She had unrolled the scroll further to see that someone before her had spilled liquid over the picture! What! You have got to be kidding me! For the love of....! She pulled her hair back as if going to pull it out. She tried making the seal, but without the picture she would have to read how it was done. Damn it... and I thought I could avoid reading...

Urza thanked God as she moved on to the next seal. The Rat seal seemed very simple to Urza, and with the added bonus it looked as if there weren't a lot of finger weaves so it would be easy to do in her gauntlets. Urza followed the steps to an easy finish. She was two seals away from being done. Urza looked at the next seal, and to her dismay it was nothing but weaving fingers, a task that was going to be difficult with her current hand wear. Without hesitation however Urza jumped into it, it seemed easy enough and even with her gauntlets she felt as though she would be done in no time at all. As she matched her final product with the scroll however she noticed once more that something was amiss. She looked from her seal to the seal on the scroll, and it took only a moment to figure out. She had started the weave with the wrong finger. Fixing her mistake she reformed her seal and once more compared it to the one on the scroll. Perfect match. As Urza looked at the next seal she noticed it looked rather complex. There were weaving fingers on top of straight ones, it was indeed going to be quite the task for the young Knight. Though Urza was impressed she had made it this far. For coming from a land where such a thing was regarded so long as myth and folk lore and keeping up with those that had known it all their life, Urza was proud. Though she wish she could have said the same for the final product. Perhaps Urza had spoken too soon about being able to keep up. This last seal was tripping her up good. Every time she formed it, it came out looking completely wrong! Urza was ready to tear up her own scroll but resisted the urge. No need to cause any more attention to be drawn. Sighing Urza released her failed hand seal once more. What was she doing wrong? God, I need your guidance once more. Urza thought to herself, Closing her eyes and crossing her arms across her chest. Urza opened her eyes and studied the scroll very intently. She was going to get it this time no matter what. She had God watching over her now, she couldn't let him down. Urza looked at each finger, each knuckle, each bend and contour of the hand until she could recite each ink scratch by sight almost. Step by step she formed her final seal, resisting the urge to make haste. She needed to make sure it was perfect, than she could run through each one over and over again until she felt that she had it sufficiently memorized. 2 fingers... 1 finger... Urza compared her seal to the one on the scroll... Perfect! Urza gave herself a nod of approval running through each of the 12 seals. She was far behind her friend Kina, but about on par with her new friends Miyako and Alucard. Urza wondered if Kina would want to race to the top of Mt Oto. She doubted it after a few moments of thought, Kina didn't seem like the type that would go out of her way to do something like that.
But hark, Urza had finished. She leaned back at her desk and gave Alucard full view of the scroll. And so, the young girl waited patiently, hands folded in her lap, for the rest of the class to finish. Even though the task had been dull she could tell. ╚══════.♥.═╝She sighed as she began reading the scroll. She laughed. All she had to do was fold her hands together. It was one of the easiest handseals. Thank goodness it wasn't one of the other ones... I think I would have thrown the scroll at the sensei... then I would be dodging iron spiked balls... She made the handseal just to be sure she got it before moving onto the next one.
Miyako looked at the remaining seal. Of course, they leave a complicated one for last. She stood up. She had had it with these things. The sooner she learned them the better, and the sensei was just sitting up there, writing something... more than likely doodling. She felt like her head was on fire... And then she was arguing quietly to herself, "Ooh ho ho, he is so going to get it... I ought to take his scroll and throw it at him, but maybe there's 'a waiver' for that... no I could shove it down his throat... that would be fun... but I would probably get expelled..." She was going to lose it...

"you okay?" Alucard asked as he stopped before running into Miyako. As he stood there listening to her speak, he chuckled softly. "Don't do either," Alucard said softly as he pointed towards the one he considered loud mouth. "Remember happen to him?" he asked softly as he slightly looked at the scroll as it gave him a headache and decided not to try anything on it for he was also frustrated. "If you do, you might have tr.r.rouble." Alucard said as he was having some trouble speaking again. Slowly sitting down he sat down in front of Miyako as he didnt know why she snapped this far. Grant it he snapped a bit earlier, only to come back from falling he was curious if she was needing someone to help her snap out of it. "Need help out of mood?" he asked softly as he was looking at Miyako curiously. Alucard seemed to lose a bit of focus as he sat there with his hand on his head slightly for his head was hurting. being a bit grumpy he tried to smile softly as he tried to hide his pain for he was reverting back a bit to what he had done in the past to hide things.
