Adrian is thrown out of the darkness and into the castle. He gets up and looks around. "This place...Damn Mortimer!!!" He summons Darklight and his chains of light. The darkness inside him was alert and angry. "Where are you!!!"

Adrian feels his keyblade move on its own and it lifts itself into the air. Darklight then begins to crack and soon enough the black blade breaks from the white hande. The blade begins to transform and it morphs into Void Gear. A dark hand grabs it and the figure smiles. "Mortimer. I really hate it when you want me all to yourself. But I could have split from Adrian whenever I wanted to" Taint turns to Adrian. "Pick up the handle. You still have Hope" Adrian looks to the handle and sure enough the white handle had become Hope. Taint looks to Mortimer. "Restore their world. Now"

"Why?!? You damn-" He stops as Taint shakes his head. "Adrian, I will see you soon. Let me teach him the meaning of tainted darkness. Oh and before I left. I took your darkness with me. You still have a bit left and it will grow little by little. Now that I'm gone though you will have to fight me soon enough" His yellow eyes flash towards Adrian's gold ones. Adrian saw something in there and he leaves the castle. Taint turns to Mortimer. "Now why is it you want me so badly?"

Taint smiles darkly. "Thanks but no thanks. I know you Mortimer. I was born from the darkness and I am darkness like you. I took refuge in that boy's heart to better strengthen myself. You stayed in the darkness and worshipped master. Now my darkness has become a taint to all other darkness. I will not help you. I have my own plans after all. I took the form of a darker form of Adrian, because now I have developed features like him. Now we are connected by a single heart. Two sides to a coin. I loathe him as He loathes me. Sound familiar? Son of Darkness?"

"That's where you're wrong. I may be a small dark being. But I am vital to all darkness. I am the thing that lingers in all people's hearts. The thing that spreads throughout one. I am everywhere. Everything. Now that I have been released Adrian will be pitted against himself. After all. I am his darkness" Chains appear around Taint and they radiate a darkness around them. "Behold. My Chains of Taint. After all I am Adrian as well" Void Gear crackles with power and Taint chuckles. "No worries this is not The blade of Vanitus. Just a remnant from the past" He turns away from Mortimer. "Anything else you want to say before I leave?"

Taint smiles. "Call me what you want. But just remember. Pure heartless come from absolute darkness. That means you are one as well since you have no heart and are made up of pure darkness. Now let me leave you with something from the past you may very well enjoy" He snaps his fingers and darkness forms from the floor. Several Floods appear from the portal. "Darkness is a void that can stop time for those that are trapped within. Now enjoy the remnants of the past" The chains swirl around him and he teleports away.

Shroud walked out of his dark portal and looked around. The villian's Vale was dark and ominous, how cliche. He growled as he walked around, trying to find this Mortimer that Taint recomended to him. If he is capable of helping him find a heart of innocence, then he hoped he can somehow convince him for help. The place was empty, he needed a way to call this Mortimer. He created a chain throne and sat down. He waited for decades in his seal for the day of his return, he hoped he didn't have to wait for another decade.

Shroud was ready this time. He jumped up before his throne of chains collapsed. Twice in one day his seat crumbled by others of darkness, he was realy out of it since his time in the seal. He growled as he looked at the horde of Heartless. Even though he was powerul in the past, and was draine over the decades, he was technically intruding. He looked at Mortimer and tilted his head. How was he going to communicate? He looked around and growled with an idea. Heartless weren't able to talk because they lack emotions and wills, but maybe... He use a chain to draw in a shadow heartless. He sunk his hand in it's back and held it up like a puppet. The hearless began to change slightly and grew a mouth. He pulled his hand out and let the heartless sit on his shoulder, like a parrot. The heartless then began to talk with his voice, "I am sorry for intruding, I was told by one called Taint that you may be able to helpme with something. Something I think you might find interesting." He growled at the other heartless while the shadow on his shoulder talked for him. So, Mortimer is also capable of summoning an army at will. There was someone else that controlled the heartless a long time ago, but it was unlikely he was still in charge anymore. Shroud looked at Mortimer and growled softly, Mortimer might need more be harder to convince.
