Jordan had actually fallen asleep sitting up; when he'd jolted awake, everyone was gone, and he'd downed a cup of coffee as fast as possible and appeared back upstairs, looking decidedly sheepish.
There was another phoenix swooping and diving at the group when he caught up. "How many of these things are there?"
I think they're trying to annoy us to death, Ferros said as he materialized.

Jerry blinked, shaking the dazed feeling of what would have been a concussion if it wasn't for Fear Shields from his head as he wobbled to his feet, "Ah... th-thanks, girls!" He smiled weakly. Sasha seemed grumpy. Was she still mad about the whole Vegas trip thing?
He hoped not.
Stomach clenching, he took aim, but the thing was flailing and flapping....

Going in for another attack on the phoenix to which Tori missed it when she swiped at it. Aklin hissed at her for all the miss as he wanted to hit it and took the hit the creature gave her as he could feel her Fear shield getting weaker.

Jerry grit his teeth, letting the girls make sure the thing didn't knock him down this time. Just breath, wait, and aim.
NOW! Roar snarled, a grin in his voice and he obligingly clenched his eyes shut, pulled the trigger, and prayed he didn't take out any more walls.
