Nami frowned. She like this Human, even knew him. She didn't want to leave him. She sat up and kissed his cheek.

Maximus looked at her with a surprise look on his face. He hadn't expected her to do that. He wasn't sure what to do or say, so he remain quiet with his eyes locked onto her.

Quickly, Avielle let her wings out and took off into the sky. She hated being too close to humans that she didn't trust. Looking around she continued in the direction she was going. Of course, she was just wandering around since she really had nothing better to do. Stopping, Avielle floated where she was a she pondered on what she was supposed to be doing. Of course, her grandmother told her but she couldn't remember at all what it is was. Looking around, she wondered if someone would be able to point her towards a close by village since she wanted to rest and get a snack.

Maximus looked at her for a moment before saying "Yes." He cut a look towards the window, the sun had fallen. He looked back to her and said "I believe that it is time to get moving."

Nami leaned in and kissed him before getting up and walking to the door. She knew it had surprised him but to her it had felt like the right thing to do.

Maximus watched her walking towards the door. He could feel a smile pulling at his lips. He closed his eyes, resting. He wasn't sure what he would do, he still felt lead towards the south. After a moment or two he slowly stood up, holding his staff in his right hand.

Maximus looked at her and started to walk towards her and the door. He stopped a moment before the door and cast a spell. He made himself hard to see, he wasn't going to become the old mage again. This time he wanted to get out without being seen. If someone looked hard enough they might see him, but it was dark and he was almost impossible to see.

Sempri cut down the last of the mercenaries, but another scrambled back onto his feet and ran for the town, clutching the wound on his side. 'They always try to run, just because my legs are short,' Sempri muttered to himself, while he drew a throwing knife. He took aim and whipped the small blade into the back of the fleeing man's neck. He went down without a sound, and Sempri collected his knife and proceeded to clean his weapons. It was quickly getting dark, and he wanted to be out the other side of the town before the sun had fully set.
After stepping away from the collection of slashed bodies he wiped his boots on clean grass. Hopefully the townspeople would not find these bodies until morning. Perhaps that vampire or some forest creature could benefit from them. His job completed, Sempri marched back through the town, his face betraying nothing of what had just happened.

Rose was getting tired of jumping so she stopped and sat on a branch with her legs hanging down. She didn't like the feeling of being alone, it made her scared knowing that the humans were still after the elves for slaves. The thought of it all made her sick to her stomach.

Nami was just waiting for him to open the door. She knew what she was going to do. This mage had caught her interest and she was going to follow him.

Maximus opened the door slowly and cut a quick glance around. He didn't see anyone, so he took off towards the woods at a slow jog. His spell made him hard to see not hard to hear. He moved quietly enough, he spent his far time working to keep his body in good shape along with improving his knowledge of magic. He made it to the woods and walked in slowly, after a few steps he disabled the spell.

Nami followed him. Her green eyes shone brightly in the dark but otherwise she was invisible.

Maximus glanced back behind him and saw that she was there. He didn't say anything as he moved deeper into the woods, before turning south. He was going to head to the mountains and see what laid beyond them, if nothing happened to keep him away from there.
