" Well..." Nikolai started off slowly with an embarrassed rub of the back of his neck. " I wanted to cook you breakfast, you see, and so I tried to make an omelet and... whisking eggs grew too complicated for me, it seems." he sighed and glanced over at the little station on the counter devoured by egg yolks. " No one ever told me how hard it was to crack an egg open..." He looked back at Leon and blushed in humiliation when he saw him poking at what he had recently began cooking. " So then I tried to make muffins and the mixer scared me a little.... And that, dearie, was meant to be bacon." Nikolai smiled sheepishly. " I thought it was supposed to blacken...... Ah, enough about my failures. Why weren't you able to sleep, darling?" he asked as he tried to get Leon away from his ruined dishes.

Leon Court "Hm? Oh, I don't sleep. I never really have been able to," he said distantly, grabbing a pair of mitts and pulling out the trays. "Nikolai, would you like to learn how to make my favorite breakfast in the whole world? It makes me love anyone immediately." With his hands on his hips, he smiled at the Sin and tilted his head. "It doesn't take long, and it's not much work."

" Oh dearie, you offend me!" Nikolai said and quickly turned to Leon. " How could you not tell me? I could have helped you ages ago! I am the King of Dreams, after all." Nikolai pursed his lips when he heard Leon's offer. Knowing him, he was bound to mess up any and every dish, and if this dish made Leon love whoever cooked it, would he hate him if he cooked it wrong? " Erm.... I suppose so." he said with an uneasy tone. " Although I will warn you now, dearie, cooking is not my forte." He looked around. " Hard to believe, isn't it?"

Leon Court "Reading the instructions always helps," he offered, pulling on a light pink apron. "Now, I need you to look in the fridge and get out the eggs, milk, tortillas, and cheese, and I'll make the potatoes. That good?"

" Eggs and milk are right behind you, darling." chuckled the Sin nervously as he pointed to the two ingredients dripping off some egg yolk. Nikolai retreated to the fridge before Leon could look at him and got out the other ingredients. " Tortillas... Oh, are we making Mexican food?"

Leon Court "Patience," he chuckled, setting the potatoes on the counter. "You know how to peel potatoes?"

" All I know about potatoes is that they can either be mashed and made skinny by the French." Nikolai said and looked at the potatoes around Leon comprehensively. " Erm.... How do you peel it, dearie? Like a banana?" he asked as he grabbed on and searched for some way to start.

Leon Court Leon came up behind Nikolai an d set his hand, placing a small peeler in his hands. "Just do as I do," he instructed as he produced his own peeler. Leon started to skim the potato, ridding the skin with ease.

Carefully watching Leon, Nikolai looked back at the.... whatever food group the potato belonged in and tried to mimic him. It... wasn't perfect. Nikolai winced everytime he successfully moved up the peel, terrified that the blade would hit his hand or break his lime green nails. Thankfully it didn't, but he did take chunks of potato off by accident.

Leon Court By the time Nikolai finished one potato, Leon had finished three. He took the potato, which was at half it's former glory, and cleaned it off, setting it in a bowl. "Can you dice it?" he asked, smiling softly.

Nikolai stared at him blankly. When Leon said dice, he immediately thought of Vegas, and he was more than positive potatoes weren't meant for gambling games. That in mind, he remained silent to keep from anymore humiliation.

Leon Court Sighing a bit, Leon pulled out the knife and showed Nikolai how to dice potatoes. "Why do you want to make me breakfast, anyway?" he asked suddenly, moving out of the way so Nikolai could try.

" Hmm? Why wouldn't I, dearie?" Nikolai shrugged as he copied what he was shown. It was much simpler than the potato peeler since the blade wasn't aimed at him. " I figured it would be romantic. I suppose waking up to a filthy kitchen left you otherwise, though."

Leon Court He chuckled a bit, starting on the eggs. "The fact you thought of it alone was romantic, and the mess is adorable. I'm just happy you thought of me." It didn't take long for him to finish the eggs, so Leon pulled out another pan and greased it up. "Can I have the potatoes, please?"

" Here you are, dearie." Nikolai hummed as he handed Leon the diced potatoes. " Now enough of this suspense! Tell me what it is you're cooking." he said and got on his tip-toes to try and see over the other man's shoulders.
