DEATH/EASTA wisp of fog curled out at Madison; she whirled and tried to slice at it, but Kouki's blade merely hissed harmlessly through the vapor. Her sharply indrawn breath only served to draw some of the mist into her lungs, where it burned and sent the Death hunter into a coughing fit that dropped her to her knees. "Don't... don't breathe that," she wheezed at Gale and the other Death hunter, whose name she didn't quite remember. HP: 46/50 Damage Taken: 2 Damage Dealt: 0 Charge: 1/3 Target & HP: Mob 1 (spawned by Aleister): 20/50 (-8 mod, auto 5 damage) Mob Tally (East): 2 (2nd mob is ded)

Maddie was coughing violently, on her knees on the ground; Gale could hear the way she dropped down, but he didn't turn around just yet, keeping the gun steadily pointed towards the creature.
"Are you all right?" he called out over his shoulder, firing off another shot. This one missed entirely, and Gale swore beneath his breath, repositioning the rifle against his shoulder

Gale was checked up on her right now, and so he just tried to ward off the creature to keep it away from them. All he hit were wispy bits of fog. And nothing else. DEATH/EASTMadison waved one hand at them as she coughed, then shook her head once the coughing fit released her. "'M fine," she managed, coughing once experimentally before making a face. "Man, that s**t is vile. Ghost chunks, blegh." She got to her feet, then clapped one hand over her nose and mouth as the fog started encroaching again, holding both of Kouki's unsheathed blades awkwardly in her other hand. She slashed at the fog, and met a bit of resistance that made the curl of fog jerk and pull back. "Yeah, get out of here," she muttered, then lowered her hand and tugged her scarf over her nose and mouth. Only then did she return the blades to their proper locations, one in each hand. "Right. That's not happening again. Thanks, guys." HP: 44/50 Damage Taken: 2 Damage Dealt: 1 Charge: 2/3 Target & HP: Mob 1 (spawned by Aleister): 19/50 (-8 mod, auto 5 damage) Mob Tally (East): 2 (2nd mob is ded)

He gave a nod, hearing Maddie's affirmation somewhere behind him, as well as Deryk's concerned voice. Gale waved a hand in front of him scowling at the thick fog that curled around them.
"This is ridiculous," he snapped. The creature, combined with the fact that he was still wearing this damned headband made Gale take several steps back, lift the rifle once more, take aim, and fire off a very irritated-sounding barrage of bullets, all of which hit their target quite nicely.
"Can I take this thing off now?"

[Mist/Acting Death/Center] Cass looked at the walkie talkie that Lance gave her and made a lightly suspicious face as it clicked, before she looked up at him and lifted a brow. Why was it making that noise? Still, she hooked it onto her belt before she moved to head down the hallway ahead of the two less experienced trainees who would follow her.
She was a fair distance ahead when her Walkie Talkie crackled and she suddenly turned around to see - "Oh, you've got to be ******** kidding me." she groused, squeezing Nicodemus's handle as she suddenly moved to go and attack.
"Look lively, Molly! It'll be alright, chickadee." Cass assured, firing on the creature from afar even before it turned on her, the grey flames seeming to hiss at her shield. Nicodemus's voice distorted for a moment in her head before she frowned and suddenly tucked and rolled, popping up from under the flames to evade as much damage as she could.

The Mist trainees, beyond the chaos of the semi-formed phoenix, would hear something that distinctly sounded like a set of footsteps running their direction.
"Remember what was ordered about the walls, sir, don't destroy any-"
"Hang on trainee-tachi, Allan-taichou has got your back!"
Wham. Smash. Crunch.
-"Walls." The Life Hunter techician simply raised both arms into the air in an expression that said very clearly 'Why do I even bother?'
The good news was that: the large phoenix apparition plauging the center of the building was gone. The bad news was so was unfortunately two walls and half the main stairwell. OOC All Mists: Allan heard you through the walkie-talkie and well, decided to help. At least thr phoenix boss Molly spawned is gone.....

MIST / CENTER / CLASSROOMSOh gosh, it was all her fault! Someway, somehow, she was just a horrible person. Molly nodded to Syd as the young woman came to help defend, and tried to steel herself as Cass encouraged her, but she still felt horrible. At least until Allan-taichou came and not only obliterated some of the building, but the phoenix as well. Was it possible to have sparkles in one’s eyes? Yup. That was how Molly was looking at Allan-Taichou as he just saved her day. The young woman was just so grateful and so relieved; she did the only thing she felt she could do. She shakily made her way over to the Sun Division lead and just hugged him. “ Thank you so much, Allan-Taichou!” Molly uttered gratefully. Was she crying? Yes. Tears of Happiness.

"Allan-tight show," Sydney said, looking at the leader of the Suns with something close to hero-worship. "Thank you, sir! Thank you very much!" Although, honestly, she couldn't pull off the adorable sparkle eye thing that Molly was doing. In fact, the cat ears didn't quite... suit her, and she knew it. But it was definitely worth it for that save. She was only grateful that he hadn't thought of stupid gloves or some other ridiculous thing to add to the costume. Or possibly face makeup. She was definitely happy he hadn't declared that they needed to wear face paint with the ears. Izy whispered. As if the Sun leader could HEAR what he was saying.
So Syd looked at Cass. "Thank you, Cass," she said, smiling slightly at the compliment she'd been given.
