"Not long," Katriel flipped a switch. "Five minutes or so. I'll take the pups out for a run this morning while you freshen up." She finished her tea and, with the bounding wolf cubs at her heels, left the camper with a friendly wave.

he waved back at her, and then went back to sipping his tea. when he finally had it finished, he went to the shower to wash the sweat of yesterday away. he would still have to put on the same clothes, but it would be alright; after all, he still had to go to the shelter to work.
the shower was nice and warm, though the space was a little cramped for him. he managed to clean of fairly thoroughly in a very short amount of time, which he was thankful for. the whole shower probably took him no more than 10 minutes.
he stepped out and dried off, then quickly got dressed again before walking back out. the steam spilled out into the next room.

Katriel and the pups just ran around the camp site a couple of times and returned to the camper in time to hear Vince get out of the shower. She knocked to warn him and then she and the pups came in. The whole camper was steamy from his shower. "Wow, you like it hot, huh?" she asked with a smile. "My turn. Watch the pups--Anoki has been frisky this morning." She got in the small stall and quickly scrubbed her skin, taking care not to get her hair wet. It would take forever to dry if she had to wash it today. When she turned off the water, she realized she'd forgotten a towel. Normally, she'd just waltz out of the shower in her birthday suit, but today she had company. So she cracked the bathroom door. "Hey...um...I either need a towel and a change of clothes, or you need to close your eyes and promise not to look," she called.

"uhh... right!" he called, quickly scanning the room and deciding which to do. he decided he didn't want to try digging around for something he didn't know where it would be, so he shut his eyes and called out "not peeking; I promise!"

"Ok...I'm trusting you," Katriel called. Then she exited the bathroom, naked as the day she was born. She found a towel and quickly dried, and then looked towards the drawers that held fresh clothes...right on the other side of Vince. "Um...Do you think you could take two steps forward and then two more to your left? Unless you want me pawing over you to get to my underwear drawer..."

ScarletFrost "Ok...I'm trusting you," Katriel called. Then she exited the bathroom, naked as the day she was born. She found a towel and quickly dried, and then looked towards the drawers that held fresh clothes...right on the other side of Vince. "Um...Do you think you could take two steps forward and then two more to your left? Unless you want me pawing over you to get to my underwear drawer..." "gotcha." he said, and stood up, one hand over his eyes, the other guiding his way as he stumbled forward and then to the left, out of Katriel's way. he made some vocal noises of klutziness even as he nearly fell to the floor. to catch his balance, he had to uncover his eyes, and in doing so he caught a glimpse of the naked woman.

Katriel saw his eyes flash open and her hands didn't fly to cover her breasts or lady parts, but the large scar of a bite mark on her rib cage and the slightly pink welts from wicked claws that caught her hip. "Hey," she scolded. "I said no peaking!"

ScarletFrost Katriel saw his eyes flash open and her hands didn't fly to cover her breasts or lady parts, but the large scar of a bite mark on her rib cage and the slightly pink welts from wicked claws that caught her hip. "Hey," she scolded. "I said no peaking!" "s-sorry!!" he stammered, face going beat red as he gobbled up the image for a second and a half before looking away and shutting his eyes tightly. still, he couldn't get the image of that wound out of his mind, more than the nude body parts. what had happened to her to cause that injury? a chunk of flesh torn out, was that why she found work so hard? and yet she hadn't shown any signs of pain yesterday, with everything she was doing. he felt horrible about letting her work so hard before. when his voice returned to him, and his nerves along with it, he did ask her sheepishly, "uhm... w-what... what gave you that... uhm..." he couldn't finish his sentence.

With his eyes safely covered again, she dropped her hands. "Gave me what? This bodacious booty and movie-star spice rack that you are so obviously coveting right now?" she teased. She wasn't mad--she just didn't want to scare him away. Maybe if she played to the universal truth of male lust, the scars would fade from his memory and he would only fantasize about her toned and trim figure. "I think it was my mother that passed it on to me, although my red hair came from my paternal grandmother. Now there was a spicy old b***h!" She reached for her underwear drawer and found a bra and panty set which she quickly slipped into.

it was true that the talk of her fine body was attracting his attention and affecting his memory... but he knew that that was the act of distraction, and he was genuinely worried about her.
"your scars, actually...." he said. but then he stammered shyly "n-not that you aren't hott! I mean, ya know... uhm... oh damn..."
he had to admit, he had a thing for redheads.

Katriel laughed lightly. "I have history. We all do. The scars are nothing--they look worse than they are."
It was true, they didn't bother her any more. When she'd been bitten by that one b***h in a fight for her mate, that had really hurt. It had almost punctured a lung and it had cracked a rib. And then there was that scuffle with the stray polar bear durring that one really bad winter--thankfully it had been young, but it still threw her 10 ft when it hit her hip. It had been weeks before she had stopped limping. And she had other little scars from fights over the years. Being half a wild animal was not a gig for super models.
"Seriously, I'm made of tough stuff. I even have a tattoo--if you're daring enough to peek again," she teased. She found a pair of fresh jeans and slipped them on. Now she just had to find a clean shirt.

Vince was half-tempted to do just that. he actually was curious now.
"is that an offer?" he dared to ask, though the hesitation in his voice betrayed him. besides, he still was worried, despite her insistence that the scars weren't serious. how does a normal human being just walk away from that?

"Hey, I wouldn't suggest it if I wasn't serious," she said. There--a shirt with a kitten on it. What had possessed her to pick that up? It had probably been the only shirt in her size at the thrift store. Oh well. At least Vince liked kittens. "Why, do you need the invitation engraved, sealed, and hand delivered?"

tentatively at first, he uncovered his eyes and turned around.
"n...no..." he said, almots pouting, his pride a little sore and his face turning red again. he managed to look at her tattoo before the shirt went over it. he didn't want to admit that he he was as shy as he was.

Katriel looked over his shoulder and lifted the back of her shirt to reveal the tramp stamp. Eight wolf silhouettes were intermingled in different positions, with some Inuit tribal designs linking them together. The ink was simple but emotive. "One wolf for every member of my family that I lost," she explained. "It's the only way I have of keeping them with me, because in all honesty, I don't think I could live without them." She let the edge of her shirt drop again. "So, are we going to spend all day alternately showing off and gawking at my body or do we need to get to work?" she asked, her voice friendly.
