Dundee smirked as he came back up to get his bag, looking at Kai before hugging her one more time. "Don't feel bad, hon. Arell and I have these fights all the time." he said before getting ready to go.
"Besides, Arell's Arell. Now you should get back to the Batcave. I have to prevent him from doing something incredibly stupid." he said, walking off for a moment, then pausing.
"But unless I DO get killed . . ." he said, turning around to come back and passionately kissed Kai on the lips. Pulling away to sling his bag over his back. "Okay, NOW I gotta go!" he said before darting off.
Arell, meanwhile, had paid the rest of the cash for his room and prepared to head out into the desert. Fortunately, with the weirdness with the locals in Vegas, he wasn't at ALL worried about costumes and secret identification. He had work to do.

Kai froze after being kissed, surprised that Dundee had done so. A little more surprised that she allowed him to kiss her. After he darted out of the room she held one hand up to her lips and blushed thinking for a moment before asking quietly.
"He, had a crush on me? I had /no/ idea."
After a brief moment of reflection, the surprise wearing off, she gripped her bag and walked out of the room shutting the door quietly. Moving to the stairwell narrowly avoiding some front desk security who came to inspect the loud noises that were heard upstairs. "2000 years and one man has the guts to kiss me like that..."

"Well, THIS has gone well, don'tcha think?"
So THAT's what Dun' and Arell were talking about. I wonder if this is gonna work . . .
"Are you KIDDIN'?! I'm still getting past the idea that Kai hadn't beat the TAR outta that boy yet for doing it!"
Well . . . that was shocking.
Dundee paused halfway down the stairwell in shock. Wait, I just did that?! Damn, when Arell calms down, he is SOOOooo not gonna believe this! he thought before taking off towards the bottom of the stairway and into the lobby. Just seeing Arell leaving the resort, he was about to go after him, when he paused. "Waitaminute . . . " he paused. He walked back to the mirror . . . fortunately Kai's magic was still holding on to Dundee's "surfer dude" getup. He still had that going for him.

Kai was waiting in the lobby for Dundee to see what his plans were as to where he was heading. It was probably best that they either go separate ways if not both to the cave. Then again she figured that Dundee might want in on the mission to IO which she wanted no part of.

Dundee came up to Kai, and all of a sudden, that blush he thought he ditched thinking about how to . . . "influence" Arell OUT of this mess came back for a split second, before shaking it off mentally. "Okay, not sure if I have a plan, but I think I got something." Dun' said.

Kai didn't look up from where she was sitting in the Lobby with her arms crossed. She thought about what he had to say before replying.
"Plan? Well, let's hear it Dun... If it has something to do with Arell, I'm heading back to the cave since any plan with Arell is sure to end up in murdering innocent people."

"Yes and no about Arell, but hear me out . . . " he said, pulling a laptop out. "The beautiful thing about the human mind is that it's one of the most intricate supercomputers we have." he said. "I can get Arell to stop this. I just have to get in range." he said. Then paused . . .
"Uh, sorry about earlier by the way . . ." he said.

Kai looked at Dundee with almost a glare as she stood up.
"You. could have... /stopped/ Arell at IO. Is this what you are telling me?"
She took her hand back a bit and then slapped Dundee across his face.
"And that's for not telling me that you liked me. /Before/ you kissed me."
Now she just stared at Dundee her arms crossed waiting for a response. She really didn't hate him but the news from either situation would have been good to know before either outcome happened. First Arell killing one of her only relatives, and second being kissed in a surprise attack a surfer dude after Sir Angry Cajun waltzed out of the hole his huge rump made in the wall.

Dundee felt the sting from the slap. "Okay, I deserved that . . . but kinda hard to do that on a computer when they searched EVERYTHING." he said, rubbing his cheek. "But can we bring that latter thing up later? I think our former captors need to be saved from my nutcase brother." he asked as he opened up his laptop. Four months of programming, I'd BETTER be able to stop him! he thought.
As Dundee searched, Arell looked around, almost like he was re-tracing his steps BACK towards where he came from . . . IO better watch out, for if he gets his way, Hurricane Arell was about to make landfall!

"Yeah, save for the fact Arell is an uncontrollable hot head with guns. What is it you can do exactly to stop him?"
She still kept her stance. It was lucky for the group that there weren't too many people around, and where there were a lot of people they were loud enough in their own areas to not be able to hear what Kai and Dundee were talking about. While Dundee was on his laptop Kai searched over her costume in her bag out of site for tracers of any kind. The fact it just slipped her mind till this point has shown how tired and out of focus she truly is at this point.

"Oh, I dunno . . . maybe shut down the targeting system in his eye, over-ride a few things . . . get past a few firewalls I installed to prevent too much information leaking . . . in other words, completely reboot the computer." he said, typing frantically away at the computer. They didn't have a whole lotta time before Arell started his assault.
He also paused and looked up at Kai. "You know he's not always like this, so don't go around sayin' he is, a'right? Him adapting to society is gonna be rough as it is." he said before getting back to typing.

"Arell just wants me to think he's like that all the time? With how he's acting... Anyway, he's got at least a dozen hours of walking before he gets to the base. Not to mention he would be walking in alone. I don't know if Arell wants a death sentence, with the fact that he may be hurting kids and won't even know it. Some may be brainwashed by IO to kill him and he'll mistake them as the enemy. He could blow up the base or cause them to put the kids out before he disrupts their plan, there are too many things that can go wrong with him just.... Waltzing in and shooting every would be bad guy in sight."
Kai took her hands apart and started gesturing a little bit with them to add to what she was talking about to Arell to Dundee.
"In Arell's mind, he is walking in. Shooting the bad guys like some bad a** Cowboy in the 1800's, slinging the children over his shoulders and walking away like some terminator from a huge explosion no problem? Did I get this right?"
After walking a little, gesturing some stereotypical gun slinging moves and then walking back proudly to Dundee in this Arell act, she looked to him for him to either yes her or no her for trying to figure out what was going on in Arell's head.
"I'm tired, so my acting is crap. But give me credit, that man is crazy and is nothing like anything I've had to work with before."

"Well, you flaring up at him every time he DOES isn't exactly helping your case either, Kai. Trust me. The guy just tried to beat me within an inch of my life, and I'm trying to help him." he said, but watching the acting, he laughed a little bit.
"Gotta say though, that's the funniest impression of him I've seen! C'mere an' siddown, hon. It's a little more complex than that, but yeah, that's pretty much his plan. Lure the head honchos out, snipe 'em, go in, rescue the kids in the confusion and then blast it to hell." he paused . . . then looked up.
"You're right though, that DOES seem pretty lousy. Hence why we're here." he said . . . typing as fast as he could to get past every last firewall.

"Honesty, he's cool with that. But that's his point." he said, putting the laptop down to wipe the sweat off his brow. "Kai, be honest with me. How many times have ya gone after the same guy for murderin', stealin', and all sortsa stuff?" he asked.
Be honest with YOURSELF, Dundee. You've been stumbling all over the place 'cause you have a thing for your stepbrother's . . . friend-enemy . . . frenemy? Yeah, I like that word. he thought.
