Post 172 Another Sun Stone? Chael bagged it just like the other items. His backpack was actually starting to get some weight on it now so he placed it by his Pokemon. He stretched for a moment before going back to digging. He looked at Tsuki for a moment. The fox had curled up and had already gone back to sleep. Post 174 And like the time before, he found nothing. Ok, now this was just getting annoying. All he wanted was one fossil. That one guy with the electric dog named Blue found one right away. And Chael had been digging for hours. All he had found was a bunch of evolution items that he'd never use. Not even for his Eevee. So he dug his third time for a bit, determined as ever to find a freaking fossil! ((Uh, hey you gonna post?)) Post 175 Another Moonstone caught Chael's eye. Well, he must've been digging in some meteorite or something. Two Sunstones and three Moonstones. Putting the newer stone in his bag he began to dig once more. He wouldn't leave until he found a fossil. Bruce began to lift his wooden log. It seemed to be getting lighter for him. Looks like the fighting type might evolve soon. With that he went back to digging. Post 179 Nothing on the first dig of this batch. Go figure. Chael frowned. This was taking longer than expected. Had everyone cleared away the fossils, only leaving behind a bunch of evolution stones? He had certainly hoped not. There had to be at least one around here. There had to. Argos leaned against a rock, bored. While his trainer dug around, he simply waited. The Croconaw wanted to keep on with the journey too. But he'd wait so his trainer could finish whatever he was doing. Fear stood beside him, calm as ever. Nothing exciting after that little skirmish in the cave. Chael kept on digging. Post 180 Digging, Chael came across a darkish stone. It seemed to remove any light around it and absorbed darkness. Interesting. He put the Dusk Stone in his bag. After checking his Pokedex, he saw his Pokemon had leveled up. Nice. He'd head out pretty soon while the morning was still young. But until then he would keep looking for a fossil. Jumping into his pit, he continued with his dig site. Post 182 As if fate decided to screw with the Eevee, Chael came across a Waterstone. With the Firestone Nolan had discovered, that was three of his original forms! Quickly, he put the aqua colored stone within the confines of his backpack. An accidental evolution would be most unwelcome. "Don't worry Tsuki, just one more badge then you can finally evolve." he reassured his Eevee. Letting the furry thing leap into the pit, he stroked his fur. After a few moments of being pet, Tsuki went back with the other Pokemon. Then Chael went back to digging. (( Gah, sorry about the disappearance. This weekend was crazy. Let me get settled, and I'll be back in the swing of things soon enough. )) While Chael was hunting for fossils, Nolan was spending time with his Magikarp - polishing scales, checking fins, making sure the fish was well fed, and generally making it clear why Nolan wasn't half-bad as a pokemon trainer. He cared about them and was genuine in his efforts to keep them in top condition. Or at least that was true with Dosu, and perhaps then it wasn't quite as much as a mystery that Nolan wasn't any more scared about Gyarados. For that fact, Nolan actually seemed to be saying goodbye to Dosu, in case the evolution became too violent that none of the patient, kind, and thoughtful fish was left when he became an Atrocious pokemon. Yet they both wanted Dosu to finally be what he was meant to be - a big mofo water dragon. Eventually Nolan settled on the boulder with the big fish propped up on his lap, and they both were talking with Nincada next about evolution. The words weren't important, mostly questions with yes or no answers.
