Lucien felt confident now and his ability seemed to be keeping up a constant rate. He didn't want to let his team down and with that the grounded air spirit was being careful around the castle and tactical toward the kraken. He tried not to get lost in Harry's gaze and he tried very hard to keep constant awareness of his team members. They'd make this tentacle swim away with its tentacle between its tentacles!

Lucien literally couldn't get any higher unless he was suddenly able to use his natural ability again. He was at the top of his grounded world and he didn't mind as much. He had good company, and he certainly had an outlet for all that displeasure. However, it seemed the kraken wasn't going to just sit there and take it this time and it wasn't fairing well for the castle. Lucien had gotten caught up in it and the kraken had taken advantage of it the situation to just as much damage to the castle as Lucien had done to it. A fair trade, but not in Lucien's eyes. They'd worked hard to build that castle and then even harder to keep it a castle!
"Please go away!" He told the kraken. Did it have manners? Surely its mother had taught it better than that. What sort of tentacle just attacked a fort like this? Wasn't it supposed to attack boats and other things other than castles?

It seemed the kraken didn't like Lucien's attitude, or manners. Please probably wasn't in its vocabulary. It didn't seem to be as bad as before, perhaps it was a good thing Lucien hadn't said what he thought about the kraken's mother outloud. If he had, the kraken very well might have flipped the castle and them much like a table. Lucien on the other hand was getting dizzy quite quickly from his repeated attacks against the kraken and wobbled there in place until he finally fell beside the castle.
"I..." he huffed. "One moment kraken... I'll... just sit here."

"Thank you!" Siddie called after Sir Herring the Red and his minions. It was so nice of their mascot to help, it really was!
Annnnnd then there was a huge tentacle looming over the castle. Oh. Oh dear. Everyone knew what tentacles did. They wrecked things.
Siddie smacked at the tentacle with her parasol as it came diving down towards the castle they'd so carefully built. Her insolence seemed to surprise the huge appendage, and it jerked back briefly before swooping down again to attack.

This time, the tentacle didn't retreat when Siddie stabbed at it; it continued to attack their castle with eyeless determination. "What did it do to you?" Siddie yelled, and stabbed the tentacle several times. They'd worked hard to build and defend that!

Maybe throwing things at the tentacle would help? Siddie picked up a few pieces of sand and pelted the tentacle. It seemed to ignore the attack, though, sweeping through a tottering wall almost effortlessly.

The remains of the wall came tumbling down all around them, and Siddie shrieked as she dodged the flying pieces of sand. That did it! She stabbed the tentacle with her parasol as hard a she could. It stuck into the thing's flesh, making it jerk back again, but this time it was actually bleeding. That was good, wasn't it?

The kraken had taken Siddie's parasol with it when it jerked back, she realized. She clenched her fists and scooped up more bits of sand to throw. "Go away!" she shouted at it, a little desperate now. The tentacle lazily knocked over what remained of the second tower, definitely not listening to her, but in doing so, it got a suckerful of sea urchin spines. That seemed to be the last straw, and the tentacle retracted into the water, leaving the castle with half a tower, part of a wall, and a cracked coconut.
But it wasn't totally gone. That had to count for something, right? Siddie's legs gave out, and she sat down on the sand with a thump, valiantly trying not to cry.

That could have been worse...but she was really glad it hadn't been. Shehk panted, settling into the sand until the announcement that it was all over came up....
and then it seemed that they were looking down at their castle again, Shehk looking at the state of the damage with a slightly horrified face. It....it could have been..it...wooowwwww. It could have been a lot better from what it was, but it was still standing.
Somehow.
The Pricolici scratched the back of her head, then took a minute to start cleaning off her face. "Jack, I'm ready for this all to be over with. I need to stretch out. How did everybody else do?"

"It stole my parasol and my hair is ruined," Siddie said grumpily, and stood up to go stomp over into the shade of the nearest palm tree and sit down crossly against the trunk. After a moment, though, she called out, "You guys were awesome."

Sammy had only half witnessed the others fighting, Israfel determined to defend his ponies. Lucien leaping into the fray moments later, followed last, but not least by her own ghoulfriend who fended off the last of the attacks with her fancy little sun umbrella. (It was an umbrella Sammy refused to refer to it as nothing more or less then that; it was fun to see Siddie fuss at her for using the wrong name anyway)
Suddenly they where back to proper size. The sudden shift in location and size caused Sammy to stumble and fall forward face first into the sand again, even with sand in her eyes she just kind of laid there for a bit.
One did not simply get smacked into a sandcastle by a Kraken; and get up without falling over again.
Eventually she rolled over and chuckled, the chuckle grew louder until it was full blown laugh.
"I can't belive." She laughed some more, "We actually did it! I thought, I thought we where doomed, look at our poor castle we actually saved it! Even after... all of it!" Her arms and legs started to flex in the sand; stiff and tired from a lack of proper FEAR, but it didn't stop her from making a sand angel thingy.
"I'm not quiet okay at all Shehk, it threw me into the castle... three times? Yeah three that hole in the wall was all me as a cannon ball." She squirmed a bit dimmed eyes flickering as she looked at Siddie, "Well done Sid. I'll be sure to take you to the maul to get a nice new umbrella when we get back yea?"
Oh and what was this? She felt something in the sand and dug her fingers in holding up coconut pony letting out another laugh, "Look Birdy Brains. We saved a pony too." She held the little shell of a pony higher into the air waving it side to side.

The clouds didn't seem nearly as horrible as they were a minute ago, and Lucien could finally breathe easily. However, he still didn't think he could quite move. He seemed content to just sit there by the castle, his eyes looking out the sea before they lifted to look at his team. He frowned toward Siddie, disappointed that there was nothing he could do in regard to either of her concerns. Well, at least the castle was all right... sorta.
"We did it," he smiled happily as he said it.
"I'd go see but I don't think I'm in any condition to move right about now. My feet are killing me, how do you guys survive walking all the time?" It was just something Lucien didn't understand and probably never would. He would never be so glad to be able to float around again, his feet free and unweighted.

"Dude bro being a corpse is awesome you only get tired when you run out of fear and even then its just like... being stiff in the morning getting out of bed." To prove her point the ghoul rolled backwards tucking her feet in before springing up to stand again.
She stretched this way and that cracking every joint in her body before moving over to wave at Lucien down on the ground. "Up an at em ghostie boil."

Well that just didn't seem fair at all! Lucien's face showed an obvious look of displeasure and jealousy. He didn't normally get tired but he didn't normally have to walk and perhaps just the idea of it all was what fatigued him so. Well, he only had to suffer through it during the trials, right? As soon as it was over he could be as lazy as he wanted again without having to worry.
"I don't think I can do that," he said with a laugh, cringing slightly at the sound of her cracking all of her joints. The sound alone seemed to be enough to prompt the boil to move a bit though, slowly and surely pulling himself to his feet. It was probably better if didn't sit on that sand very long anyways, it felt so weird. It could be worse right? The kraken was gone, the sun was still shining and the sky was but a beautiful blue.
"So what happens now?"

Shehk stretched in unison with Sammy, though her body cracked less - it was warm and pliable between the sun and the physical activity. Inf act, she both felt tired and like a million bucks right then, best ever. The warmth appealed to her in that way.
"Well, it sounds like they're judging, so all we can do now is take a walk around and see how everybody else did, right?" She still had blood smeared across her face, but she didn't care. She felt mighty - this feeling multiplied by the fact that they had actually succeeded in defending their castle. Like a boss.
She was War-goddess.
"Maybe we should go get a snack from the booths since they are saying they're half priced and we all deserve something for our efforts."
