Another team thing, huh? Roch stood and slipped out of the theater, as unnoticed as he'd been when he'd slipped in. There was something... well, he'd have to deal with the promise he'd made. That meant Danny would be a problem.
Then again, they would have never agreed who the leader was between the two of them, anyway.

Taryn smiled and gave a wave to the other boil, who she'd indeed never met before. It was a little strange how many zombies she knew with her natural abilities, really. Without the interaction of the punch, though, it wasn't likely that she would be spouting any fire. When Alex arrived she grinned and waved as well. ...wasn't he undead too?! She was really losing out here.
"Are you going to join? I think I'd like to go."

King nodded. So the boil did remember him. And their strange antics. While still unsure how he felt about the whole thing, the boil was rather jovial, and to King that bode well on his outlook. "Thank your you highness. And sadly, while I am fond of trials and tests to measure one's skills, I have only just arrived here, and, I know very little of these horsemen as well as what they represent. Unless I can make an informed decision, I somewhat cannot make one at all, thus, I end with the formulation to sit out and possibly watch." Sitting himself down he nodded at the other boil he'd only met in passing. "What of you two? Shall you both participate in said trials that these horsemen offer? Or will you watch?" The scamplifier squealed obnoxiously again - were they ever going to learn to operate that thing properly? - and Thackery's ears pinned back in horror. They rang through the beginning of the announcement, but he got the general gist of it. Trials. He hoped it wouldn't be like either of the exams he'd already taken...both of which had been failed terribly. And those were in the company of strangers! He couldn't shame himself like that in front of Ash. He might have been the Most Awesome King Thackery (of Pain and Cute), but he wasn't foolish enough to think that he could do something he couldn't do only a month ago. It was a careful rise to greatness...because he hadn't made any wishes to tiny creatures lately. There was a lot of pressure, but he was going to lead his group to A NEW AGE. That's what coming of age stuff meant, right? He'd just finished pumping himself up and was looking quite pleased with himself when the boil approached him. Thackery waved him over excitedly. "Hi, Frost Knight! You're welcome in my company any time. 'Cause you're my knight." He nodded firmly. "Are you gonna participate? Or sit it out?"

Alex nodded at Moure, grateful to learn that he hadn't missed anything all that important yet. They seemed to have made it just in time, however, as the scamplifier came to life and Professor Arel started the assembly off. It was all very interesting, but the way horseman clan representative was talking....it sounded like it would be difficult, grueling work with a high risk of failure. Alex, while being no stranger to failure, didn't exactly enjoy the prospect of it. Once it was over, Alex sat and thought about things for a time. It really sounded like the kind of thing he would be better off cheering on from the sidelines, but he had this sinking feeling Yin would be more then eager to join the trials, if only to push himself and learn valuable new lessons and test his own strength against other groups of students. Did Alex want Yin to enter something that was potentially incredibly dangerous, something that he would likely get hurt in? No, absolutely not. But if they were to go into it together.... He looked over towards Yin. "I think they just gave us all of the information we are going to get. Do you want to see if we can get a group together and sign up? If it gets too difficult I'm sure we can always forfeit" And then there was the needing to find a group, with a Year Two student to lead them. Alex was only considered himself friends with a few Year Two's, but one of his closer ones was sitting there right in front of him. "Hey Mort, you thinking about joining?" He asked, then glanced over towards Taryn when she spoke as well, giving her a smile "I think I'd like to..." He glanced towards Yin, "Er...we'd like enter? As well. Do you need a group?" He offered, hoping she'd say yes. Was he basically just signing Yin up without discussing it more with him? Possibly. The other boil could always refuse if he wanted.

Malodore nodded, understanding. " Si, I think we've heard all there is to hear, for now..." Something about the horseman's attitude bothered it, but it couldn't quite figure out why. It would have to mull it over later. Squeezing Riley's hand gently, it nodded to the others and stood. Nio Love you can motor them out~ <3

She'd waited quietly, not wanting to disturb anybody. It always made her nervous to be around so many other students - that much would never change, no matter how many new friends she made. Trying to blend into the seating, Shine hugged her knees and stayed completely quiet, waiting for the assembly to actually begin.
When it did, the shriek sent her mind screaming, and she felt herself lurching forward, rushing to attack...no, no, no. Nothing was hurting her. She fought against the frenzy and settled back into her spot, covering her face in her hands. She shouldn't have left her room. This was a terrible idea. She couldn't find Rain, and she was sure that she was going to hurt someone, and that nobody would ever like her again. All of the friends she'd made over the festivities would think she was awful, and maybe even Rain...no, Rain wouldn't leave. Surely not.
She would just have to be extra-good, she decided. As intently as she could, she listened to the secretary speak about some kind of trials, only to have his spot at the podium usurped by one of the horsemen people from before. She'd heard word that one of them said they'd failed, but...were they going to have another chance? Her mood seemed to brighten at that thought. It wasn't very nice to think that they had ruined everything.
"...it's safer." said the secretary, and Shine sunk into the crevice behind her seat. How could she possibly do something so serious, when even Mr. Arel was cautioning them against it?
Afraid, she imagined herself like a worthless little slug, and just slid down even more until she was hardly visible.

Aurian blushed prettily under Mai's affectionate greeting. Her arms wrapped around the other ghoul, hugging her tightly. "It's so good to see you again, Mai," she told the ghost. Not to mention a relief to have someone as excited to see her as she was to see them. Aurian really didn't have much self-confidence without a weapon on her hands (and even then, it was mostly bravado and determination, not the result of any real experience). Aurian's cheeks nearly matched her eyes in colour as Vaith mimicked her own tentative words back at her. Summoning up her courage, she blurted out, "We could be a team again!" ... Right as Mai took pity and suggested the same thing. Aurian deflated, but it was with a smile. Someone else had the same idea as her. Aurian wasn't the only one who'd thought they made a good team and wanted to work together again. She grabbed Mai impulsively, near-glomping the other ghoul. "Yes! I'll bring you sugar spookies and hot drinks to keep you awake. Um, for Vaith, too," she added, giving him a shy grin over her shoulder. "And Note! ... If Note eats." Aurian had no clue if the tattoo-dragon needed anything to survive other than Vaith's special abilities. Releasing Mai, Aurian glanced back and forth between her two friends, almost boucning in excitement. "So, it's decided? We're a team?"

"Mostly just Natalia, I tend to be really terrible at keeping in touch with people. Its such a bad habit that i really need to break." Whisper adjusted herself in her chair, as they weren't the most comfortable pieces of furniture. "Oh really! Good for you! I think that makes our entire team in year 2. That's really fantastic."
She placed her fingers on her horns and traced them ever so lightly. "Don't worry about it, what matters is what you've learned and gained inside. Sometimes...sometimes it's best when changes don't show on the outside."
She pulled out her phone and sent off a quick text to Natalia.
Shia Bean Hey babe, were you at the assembly? Maybe Luminous Flux 2.0?? "There, I just asked Natalia if she wanted to group up. Maybe we can get Mei and LW aswell? I dunno, I like the idea of being with people I trust. Makes it easier to not worry about other having your back, ya'know?" She smiled and leaned back, waiting for her phone to buzz back with a reply."So Mort, got any special boil or ghoul in your unlife?"

The boil didn't seem to mind talking about dissipation, but he fortunately dropped the topic rather quickly. Gene really didn't want to think about it any more than she already did. Her body seemed to like to remind her of it, though, as random limbs kept fading in and out. She'd always had a pretty stable grasp of the Fear that constituted her, until that day. Just another thing to blame on the Horseman.
Before she got a chance to reply to what the Demon had said - she chuckled at the shiny joke - Arel began to speak, then the Horseman. She listened with light interest at best, noting the undertones in his voice. He still didn't think Amity was worthy, did he?
Once the announcements were over, the Doppelganger leaned forwards to talk to the Demon boil once again. "Seems like he still thinks we're trash. Maybe this will be our opportunity to shove his false conclusions in his face?" She got up from her seat then, and offered the boil a small parting wave. "See you around, then." She left then, still giving the Horseman the stink eye. She'd show you, pony boil

Night had barely gotten in the door when the announcement was made for the trials before he stretched and yawned. Oddly enough, he wasn't all that interested in the horsemen themselves but the idea of doing their little cermonies...priceless.
Especially if he passed them. It was too bad it took a team seeing as he didn't know many of the students. Usually he'd pair up with Tybalt and Mei but....they were both so busy soo....
He stretched again, tail swinging back and forth as he clicked on his phone to his ghoul. He hadn't seen a lot of Simone either, it made him a little heartbroken. He thought she'd like attempting a game with the trials after all...
--------
Amphi blinked as Lizzy and Mac came to sit by her and Xiu before nodding to Xiu.
"I want to enter." She looked up at the horsemen exiting the stage before looking back at Xiu. "I want to be stronger. I've been sheltered in the sea's long enough and....the hunters...They are our biggest threat right now..." She sighed, "I've died once though, and I don't want to do it again but....I really want to become stronger." She flushed before quieting down..."What about you guys?"
Though as they talked among themselves, she kicked her self before sending a text to Thana. When she got his number, she didn't know. Might've been scarentines or something.Dragain Text to Thanatos: Thana? Were you at the assembly? What do you think of the Horseman Trials? Will you try them?

Natalia read the text in low breath and then proceeded to shove the phone back into her pocket without bothering to reply. There was no need, after all, since she was already following a group of students headed toward the auditorium and she had already suspected that Whisper would be somewhere amongst the crowd. Something was a foot, and although the monster was falling behind on daily gossip--she HAD heard from one creature or another about some 'trial'.
The ickycom message also helped clue her in...
"HEY!" The ghoul wailed in vain, jumping once with a flail of her arms as a speck of citrus and brown came into view. A beautiful...glorious...delectable speck of sexy goodness...DEAR JACK Whisper was looking good! Or, well she always did, at least in Natalia's eyes, but having not seen the hellhound in a few days made the very glimpse of her worth drooling. Worth sprinting, even, as monster took off in a run toward her ghoulfriend, her sights shifting only when the individual speaking with Whisper became visible..."Oh...OH! MORT!!!!" Rising up to the appropriate aisle and shuffling toward two, Natalia greeted each of them with a kiss. On the lips. Mort's strictly platonic, a pop of her lips against his as brief as a blink; but for Wisp she pressed firmly and then lingered with a smirk held inches from the demon's face. "Well hello there buttercup!"
Standing over Whisper gave the monster a perfect eagle-eye view of her bewbs. But she didn't stare for too long, adjusting her stance to face the zombie boil.
"Where have you been, Morty?! Long time no see!" The nickname was adopted on the spot while she turned to pull her tail in close and squeezed in beside her demon. Several of the others surrounding them now seemed catch her eye more easily, not all of them familiar to her but each receiving a wave in greeting. "And what is going on in here, babe?"

Moure gave a nod to the zomboil, a slight grin on his face. "Hahh, that's completely understandable since, you know, it's been like months since we last ran into each other. Although I guess I do have that "Speedy Undead" thing that differentiates me from most of the others in our dorms." He said with a chuckle when Mort brought up that point. It was probably quite true, when one looked at the sterotype of undeads and their slow-shamble and then compared it to the fact that Moure did run like a racecar on most occasions. He gave Alex another nod before returning his attention back toward the front of the room.
When the red-skinned ghoul came over, Moure gave her a wave and a nod. This must've been the Taryn Mort had been talking about. "Hey. I'm Moure. Nice to meet you." He said, naturally introducing himself since he didn't know the ghoul.
He felt a vibration coming from his phone and pulled it out to see a text from Edel. Quickly, he responded to her confirmation. As he was putting away his phone, however, he heard a loud screeching sound from the front of the room. It seemed as if Arel was trying to strangle a cat or something on the stage-- Oh wait nope it was just the scamplifier. Seemed Edel wouldn't be able to make it to the seat in time, drat.
Even so, Moure listened attentively as the two people on stage explained the Trials. An eyebrow raised when he heard that yes, even pathetic Amityville Students would be able to participate. Immediately upon hearing the end of the announcement, somewhere in the back of Moure's head, plans for the Trials were starting up. This was competition at it's purest, challenges one had to face to earn the right to these blessings. A determined shade passed over Moure's usually bright face for a moment, realizing that the horsemen were probably their best bet for survival against the Hunters, so anything they could gain from them would be, perhaps, critically helpful in any possible future confrontations.
He felt his phone vibrate again, and pulled it out to find another text from Edel. Quickly he typed out his response, pausing for a moment before sending his message on. He knew that Edel's sentiments would probably be the same on this point, and knew that she's know who the 'them' in his text was.Text to Edel I'm thinking that we're going to need to put together a group. The blessing he was talking about, I'm going to guess that it'll be something that could be really important in the fight against them. Want to join up and make a group?

A strange ghoul with a large tail had already wedged herself between Alexander's knees and the row in front of him to talk to Mort. Then she had moved to sit...on Miss Taryn? Next to Miss Taryn? He really was not sure at this point. And now another ghoul was approaching as the poor mantodae that simply did not want to be in the way and was trying to figure out what was happening with this group that Alexander had just placed him...them? in. Or was trying to arrange. Something. So long as he was in the event and could keep Alexander from getting into too much trouble. And then the new ghoul was kissing Mort. And then kissing the other ghoul. And taking her time doing it. In public. Which was horribly offensive just in the action but she was doing it while standing directly in front of him, and as it was a ghoul he really was not in a place to do anything about it. He could not find a good place to look, for some reason not wanting to look at Alexander to see what he thought of this display. "Perhaps we should leave? Now?" He questioned, voice a little too loud. And stressed. Obviously stressed. If he had not shown up with Alexander he probably would have been out the door at this point.

"I guess we are a team." Vaith said a little distractedly, the sides of his knuckles pressing against his lips in a train of thought that wasn't following Aurian's spookies and drinks conversation. Second years were in charge .. and if he remembered right, Mai and Aurian were first years.
?___?
...
........
He was the only second year as of now.
Mai thought it was going to be fun and it looked like Aurian thought so too. But with the standard hunter interruptions, Vaith really didn't want their enthusiasm spoiled by another visit to the infirmary. If Vaith made it there-- He knew there wasn't any real maximum but they couldn't just burn and evaporate and reappear at the infirmary forever. But hey, it might not end that way. It was the horsemen after all. They were badass and they were allies right?
And he really didn't want to see them dying. But this time might be different, Vaith summoned up a weak strand of enthusiasm. "I guess it's time to head back to our dorms now and plan something out." He stood, the assembly hall littered with lingering students and exiting ones.
"By the way, Note eats. probably. I'm not sure how he keeps it down though."

Circe had sat silently through assembly, sitting off by herself near the back of the stands. She mentally went through her ritual of deciding things and by shear luck of the draw ended up on the decision that she would participate in this event. Though she wondered if the decision she was making was the right one or not. "Oh well." Circe concluded with a shrug. Quickly she rose to her feet as the students began to file out or group up to gossip about what might be going down soon.
Simply shaking her head Circe continued to make her way down the stands. When she reached the final bench she stopped, still standing on it's hard surface and placed one hand on her hip, tapping her fingers against her belt. So three students to a group at minimum. And what else did Arel say? Oh! He mentioned Y2 students. How was she going to con one of them into joining her team?
O A O
Oh dear. Things were looking grim already.
Pushing her arms out in front of her as if she could physically push the negative thoughts away, Circe sighed. This was not the time to have a meltdown of grand proportions. Focus on making a team, worry about the other details later. "I can do this." Circe said with confidence. Smiling now the blonde headed ghoul began to look around the room for some stray students like herself that might be looking for a group too, her hand raised to her brow as if she was some kind of pirate on a ship.
