Joking, of course. ;] I threw it together in two seconds.How do you make banners? >> I wanna learn. Tell me your seeeeecreeeet!!! Pweeze. sweatdrop
I decide what size I want, and then I usually use part of a graphic or a nice background. Then I put a border on it and decide on a font that looks good, and type over the background by making sure I am not drawing/typing opaque. (As in, it doesn't make a white box where I'm working and instead lets the background show through.)

A lot of times complicated ends up giving you the same result as something a lot simpler than what you just tried.
