Shikaku frowned slightly at the woman's harsh response. Not because he felt he should be given priority, but because she seemed to insinuate that he did. Maybe she just had to deal with too many snobs who thought it was their right to command the kage's attention... Or maybe she was just being snooty because of his clothes. The boy frowned a bit deeper at that thought, but nodded when the woman told him to wait. He wasn't entirely happy about waiting, since he'd yet to even visit his new home, and she had just said the current meeting was going to take awhile, but after that display, he felt like taking the challenge of proving her either wrong, or foolish for her assumptions.
Turning away from the receptionist, he made his way to one of the many seats lining the reception area, and pondered how to pass the time. He could mess with his new mask, but it was even more crowded here than in the market, and he was likely to be watched. No, that could wait until he got home. He could play around with his new found riches... But that would be risky too, simply in that he could easily end up losing some... With no other options, he decided to do the obvious, and have a staring match with the ANBU he had seated himself across from without noticing it. He couldn't tell if the man blinked of course, or if he was even looking at him, but ANBU were honorable enough to where he'd give some sign if he lost the match, right?

Raikage Natsumi Rei -------------------------------- ((I'm automoving the rest of the team into the room for convenience since they havent posted yet.)) "It's not that uncommon for someone to try and... eliminate the competition, or destroy a village or two to prove his strength." She didnt add that it was very unusual to succeed, especially with such a blatant method. The fact that his attack on the village gates also made the man's intentions clear. He had attacked, left his calling card and promised to return. The man did not intend to destroy Kumo, but to take it over. He also had to have a certain level of vengeful malice. However if the boy couldnt figure that much out she felt no need to explain it. He was a shinobi, which meant he lived to serve. He didnt need to know yet. She opened the letter wordlessly, and read it.
Quote: Raikage-Dono, I would like to formally state my thanks for the assistance provided in a recent conflict by one Chuunin Kensei and Genin Sora. While it is your decision, I would like to recommend the two receive credit for up to a C rank mission for their actions. The third however, one Genin Laxus, I would recommend never set foot in my office again, or at least until he has been properly trained in how to compose himself in the presence of others. Your team aside, I would like to schedule a meeting in the near future to discuss the fate of one Rogue Jishaku. He is currently held in our facilities, but as a rogue of Kumogakure, I feel it necessary to consult you. Please reply by bird or messenger at your earliest convenience so that we may discuss location and time of meeting. Acting Kazekage, David Greyson Her mind quickly tied all the facts together from which she managed to build a basic summary of the events. Nagisa approved the formation of the very sensitive mission to Suna, and also approved the addition of the untested Genin Laxus. They were told find the location of rogue Jishaku, and not to engage him in combat. The team made it to Suna, and had a meeting with the acting Kazekage in his office, it wasnt clear whether this happened before or after the conflict, but most likely before. If they had shown up and just joined in the battle they would have been suspicious and imprisoned. During the meeting, Laxus did something which caused said Kage to issue a formal complaint. It was very rare for a shinobi to get exiled from a foreign country (the last to cause this much trouble was Timmy the Quirk), and this would be very bad for intervillage relations. Laxus was as good as banned from any diplomatic business in Sunagakure. This would not go unpunished. Someone attacked, clearly Jishaku since he was captured, and the team assisted, breaking direct orders. Jishaku was captured and is currently held in Sunagakure, which created certain security risks for Kumo. Especially since the man hated Kumo. If they were lucky, he was too stubborn to tell Suna anything crippling, perhaps so he could finish his job at a later date. Being a rogue from Kumo, he also put new tensions between Kumo and Suna.
The fact that the team got there in time, and broke orders to fight, probably stopped the two nations from going to war. Kensei was looking damned good as a leader right about now... but there were details which she didnt know yet. It also helped that the two countries were so far apart, adding extra costs to such a war
"So" she glanced towards the other team members and back at Kensei. "Mind filling in the details a little bit? How did the meeting go?" After Kensei gave his report, the Raikage would follow up with a simple "How did your team do?" Not only did she want to what happened with Laxus, but how Sora had performed. She had enough experience to be considered for promotion, but it would be important to consider her maturity. Kensei was still inexperienced as a team leader, but he should be able to give a proper report. As she waited for her answers 'Natsumi' stared blankly at the team. Perhaps Nagisa isn't fit to be the Raikage. It was just a passing thought, but it was the kind which would never be forgotten again.-----------------------------

Kensei cleared his throat before he tried to speak. He tried to remember everything that happened on the mission from the start of the meeting to being asked to leave he fight. Before he started to explain he places his hands behind his back and stood a straight with his feet close together. He looked the raikage in eyes and once again cleared his throat. "Well ma'am the meeting went fine. It had a rough start since Laxus spoke out of turn to which David responded with physical force. I stopped him shortly after he go his point across. After I asked him about Jishaku, he wanted wanted to trade information for something we have." Kensei kept eye contact with the Raikage as he continued to explained. "But before He had a chance to finish speaking Jishaku basically blew up the building with us and a couple of civilians inside. Luckily David protected us with his sand and dropped us off in some sort of secret bunker under the kazekage's tower......where he left us." Anger could be seen in his eyes and heard in his voice after he made the statement. "Should I continue ma'am?" Kensei asked . He was ready to continue, but willing to stop when asked.

Laxus gritted his teeth. He had spoken out of turn, but how was that bad considering Kensei had stuttered over his words? It was stupid to allow a shinobi who wasn't able to coherently verbalize to be the one speaking. Laxus had no doubt Kensei was a good shinobi, maybe just not a speaker. If asked directly, Laxus would be sure to mention this, as well as David's use of force which he believed to be out of line. Laxus wasn't very high ranking, but he was still a diplomat from Kumogakure. If Laxus ever made it up in the ranks to a place where he could, he'd enjoy cutting off all ties to Sunagakure. He would enjoy sending shinobi after shinobi to gather information on the village, strong points, weak points, and the study of that... sand jutsu. Maybe bringing Jishaku into Kumo for questioning would be a good idea. Laxus could learn a thing of two, and Jishaku obviously knew the sand village's techniques. He shook his head slightly, he was focusing on the future too much, he wasn't focusing on short term like he needed to.

Hikaro_rin Raikage Natsumi Rei -------------------------------- ((Yea, turns out the new Kage is a b***h...)) The Raikage watched everyone as Kensei attempted to breif her. He was being vague about the details, he clearly was not used to giving a proper mission report. Noone would see it, but a frown crossed her face. Was there not a single shinobi in the village worthy of carrying the Kumo insignia? It was nice to see that Kensei was now assuming some level of respect, and that Sora followed his lead. She seemed to have trouble standing still, but it was a big improvement. Laxus looked like he was having trouble keeping something to himself, he wanted to say something when Kensei mentioned him. Like most Genin it would take a little more experience before he gained some control over his body language, although Kensei was also having a bit of trouble hiding his anger.
"Have you not given a mission report before?" Her gaze returned to the Uchiha. Her tone was harsh and unforgiving. "You are clearly leaving out all of the important details. For instance, the acting Kazekage does not request that a genin does not return to his office merely because of a rough start. How did David respond, did he use Sunaton? This is called intelligence gathering it is your job." She paused for a moment as she refolded the letter and placed it on the side of the desk. "To say Jishaku blew up the Kage tower and not even attempt to describe the method is downright lazy. Did he use explosives, a jutsu, what? An Uchiha in the middle of it I'm should have been able to see, hear, feel or smell something useful." She was beginning to enjoy her job, the new Raikage was supposed to be strict, and that gave her plenty excuse to vent her anger. "You were saved by the Kage, probably for little better reason than your proximity to him, and taken into some sort of secret bunker. Did you maybe think anything about that was important? Was there anything interesting there? By your own admission he left you all alone in a secret area. What did you find?" His team had prevented a war, and with that they was standing on solid ground in regards to their job, but this meeting was not going well for them.-----------------------------

"Honestly this is my second time giving a mission report so I'm still getting used to it." Kensei said in response to the raikage's question. He listened to her feedback about the report before getting ready to speak again. "Right, well the way David responded to Laxus was with Sunaton. It got to the point that he dragged him around the room by his collar. As for Jishaku I'm not sure of the name of the jutsu but it was a Raiton jutsu. The jutsu involved raining over the tower followed by a lightning strike on the tower. As for the bunker it was turned to glass due to it being made of sand, but I think it was David's home since there was a table and bed when we were trying to get out. I was more focused on getting my team out safely more than anything else." Kensei said as he tried to fill in the blanks to the best of his abilities.

" Not my collar, but my entire head. " Laxus muttered without realizing what he had said. His eyes widened and he pinched the bridge of his nose with his right hand. Sure Laxus wanted to clarify, it pissed him off that people couldn't get something right. Hell, Kensei didn't even see it happen, David dispelled it before Kensei could even see it. Maybe entire was a bit much, but David had placed enough pressure on it that he was bruised. David was definitely not a good person to be aligned with. If he was anything short of completely respectful when talking to people of higher rank, Laxus wished the same thing upon him.
David had also threatened Laxus' life, or at least his ability as a shinobi. If David had had his way he would have basically killed a shinobi of another country. Laxus almost wished he had, so someone could have gone and killed the little twerp for inciting war. It wasn't like he was the Kazekage or anything as far as he stated. Laxus at this point was more apt to believe Jishaku over David. Hell, Laxus would believe someone who called Kensei a woman before believing David. As Laxus thought about it, he was useless at this point, Kumogakure wouldn't have given two shits about him being ruined.

He still wasnt giving the detail she wanted, but it was certainly better than before. It was all the would be Kage could do not to burst out laughing when Laxus started muttering. Finally she could get some information, and possibly even teach the boy some manners."Do you have something to add?" It was a simple question, but her tone was filled with undertones. The boy had spoken out of turn, and from his behavior thus far he probably would continue to do so. Might as well give him a shove and see what she gets.

" If you wish. " Laxus said sighing. Without removing his hand from the bridge of his nose he would continue speaking. " I spoke up before Kensei could respond further than remarking on the acting leader's size. The "Kazekage" was a child, or at the very least shorter than average. I thought I might be able ot diffuse the situation by speaking up and simply stating the reason we were there as I thought it was the best course of action. I was mistaken and the acting leader used Sunaton, I at least assume it was Sunaton since it involved Sand, to wrap my mouth, as well as the back of my skull tightly enough that no sound could escape mid sentence. It was hard enough I'm actually tender still. He also looked at me with a rage that was almost primal. It stands to reason that he had something altering him, or inside of him. I don't think a child like him could have had the pure killing intent I was feeling. " Laxus said, stating everything he could recall. " If I remember anything else, after being reprimanded for my insubordination, I'll be sure to give you a formal report should you wish to read it. " He said, finally unlocking his fingers and looking at the Raikage. The area he had been pinching was red and slightly indented, he'd been gripping harder and harder as time went along.
Laxus pushed himself off the wall and instead stood in a soldier's position, legs spread shoulder width apart and right wrist gripped by the left hand behind his back. " If it would appeal to you, I'd like to get my punishment out of the way, so that I can resume my duties, or be given menial tasks as further punishment for what I've done. " Laxus said attempting to leave. He really didn't want the Raikage to repeat what David had done, although it was more likely she'd hit him with a lightning bolt. That would be slightly harder to use without the possibility of killing him than David had done, but it wouldn't be nearly as insulting.

"Perhaps he was not wrong. Would you declare your own punishment? When where and how? Would you leave without being dismissed?" The boy could benefit from learning a shinobi's place. Proper understanding of Rank would not hurt either. However there was business to take care of, and this was not the time. She motioned towards Kensei. "What happened next."

Kensei continued to look at the Raikage before he continued. "Well while we were trapped inside the pit, me and Sora tried to think of ways to get out of the pit. One of the ideas was for me to summon a bird to fly us out. But I didn't have enough chakra for the summon. So instead I placed Sora on my back and me and Laxus jumped up. I did a pulse blast technique to give us an extra boost. Before we had a chance to fall I threw Sora on a ledge that was inside the pit. I shortly made an ember clone and had it throw me towards the ledge. I also grabbed Laxus while I was was being thrown." Kensei paused for a second to catch his breath. " while we we on the ledge Sora explored for a bit and found the room I mentioned earlier. I rested for a bit so I could get ready to do the same thing again. Luckily the Kirigakure shinobi Yamatano showed up to help us. He was riding a.....giant snake." Kensei let out a sigh during the pause. "I passed out because of the sight of the snake. When I woke up we were out side of the pit. Maybe Sora or Laxus can fill you in while I was incapacitated for the time being." Kensei didn't want to lie about the snake situation because the Raikage probably would have found out eventually and his fear of snakes and spiders was probably on his file anyway.

Laxus paused a moment as Kensei spoke up. He wasn't too sure if he should continue, or wait for the Raikage to finish with Kensei and Sora first. He decided on the latter. It was fairly obvious that the Raikage wasn't too pleased with him, but hopefully he could change it in order to gain the Raikage's trust and further his own advancement within the village. He simply stood there looking from the Raikage to Kensei, attempting to express his wish that she speak directly too Laxus when she wished for him to continue. ' I really hope I'm doing the correct thing. Were her questions rhetorical, or was it meant to be answered? ' He thought to himself, churning the idea around in his mind.

Hikaro_rin Raikage Natsumi Rei -------------------------------- She listened to the next segment of the report silently. It was upsetting that they ignored a chance to dig up more valuable intel, lately it seemed Kumo's information was a little too outdated. At least one of them had the sense to look around, Sora earned some points there.
Kensei's apparent fear of snakes was concerning. The raikage silently pulled out his file and glanced over it. He was afraid of spiders as well. If he faints at the sight of spiders he better say goodbye to his career. She considered testing him, finding a spider and all manner of other bugs wouldnt be too difficult even in the shiny new office. When noone spoke up to fill the gaps she motioned for Kensei to continue. Either her exchange with Laxus had them worried or they simply had nothing of importance to add.-----------------------------
