"Acta est fabula, plaudite!"

Markus frowned slightly when someone he didn't recognize entered the room. Well, whoever it was, they had good taste in color because they just looked like a red blur to him. He flicked out his tongue and... oh wait, he did know this person. It was the bird in disgui-- err, Penelope. He perked up slightly, genuinely smiling for once. It was nice to see someone he somewhat knew after being thrown out so rudely by a giant metal monster.

"I didn't know either until I rechecked my schedule," He sighed honestly. He didn't remember coming to this class even once. "I see you've gone through your molting stage quite nicely. The skin shedding I had to go through a few years ago was absolute torture," He said, regarding her sudden style change.

He glanced at the other student when she came in and greeted Penelope. Hm, was she a friend of hers? "Hello, I'm Markus," He mumbled a reply as he finally noticed the weird things protruding out of her head. He flicked out his tongue only to discover that they were... ears? And she seemed to have a tail too. He had never eaten a cat before, but he assumed it would be a lot like squirrel. He stared at the ears, wondering if he should eat her or not.

Penelope gave Markus a blank look. "...Molting?..." She looked down at her clothing. "Um... Oh! Right, well ah... actually I just went shopping for some new clothes. Humans don't... don't really er... well, molt. I... got a haircut though." She shrugged. Markus really didn't know a lot about humans. The way he had acted in their previous encounters was actually starting to make sense to her now. "Though ah, shedding you skin certainly does sound like an unpleasant sort of experience. I got really sunburnt once, a-and all of my skin sort of... peeled off. I don't know it that's... similar..."

She trailed off, unsure of what to say next- Oh! Susan! Penelope paled. She had forgotten that the two of them were both in this class. She still hadn't figured out how to explain away her "brother" Percy to her friend, but thankfully, she didn't really bring it up. "A-ah, yeah!" She said cheerfully. "I just transferred i-in sort of... sort of recently! We have a lot of classes together huh?" She gave her a nervous smile before turning to get her notebook out of her knapsack (and half hide for a second so she could collect her thoughts). Okay, okay. It was like Douglas Adams said. Don't Panic. There wasn't anything to worry about. Okay...

She sat back up, smiling again. "Er... yeah, so, Mythology! That's an odd class to have at a... at a school like this isn't it? I mean, where I'm from, we would all sorta be classified as... as you know, mythological."

"Oh nice to meet you Markus!" she said to him and smiled. She noticed him staring at her ears. Not again, Susan had people staring at them, pulling them, biting them, sucking them, nibbling them. For the love of-- No, calm. Susan smiled at the boy and looked at Penelope and smiled. "Oh cool. Yeah we have lots together! Is Percy coming today?" she asked and noticed he hadn't arrived. He was a nice boy, him and Penelope were very simliar in personality, and looks.

"Mythology is great.. I guess we are kind of Mythological, but no harm in learning about other types of mythics! I've always liked learning about golems and stuff, they're so interesing." Susan rambled on.

Speak softly and carry a big stick...

Jason quietly entered the room and made his way to a seat in the back. he set all of his stuff down and pulled out a notebook and a pencil. He opened the notebook and began to draw a griffin. He heard the end of one girl's spill on everyoe being kind of mythological. He chuckled silently and continued drawing.

Erin entered the classroom.
"Hm..quite a lot of students.." she mumbled and went over to her desk. She rang the little bell that was used to get the students' attention.
"Good Morning, class! I am Professor Erin. Please do come over to my desk and sign your name on the attendance register," she said as she opened the register and placed it on her desk.

"Acta est fabula, plaudite!"

Well, it seemed like she was still keeping up her human act. Markus was certain the hair color change was due to some sort of molting process and not cut and dye. But, he stayed quiet about his suspicions, not wanting her to know that he was aware of her lies. "Yes, skin shedding is very unpleasant. I've never had a sunburn, but the humans around where my family lived were very susceptible to them," He was bored of this conversation, but he decided to be kind enough to reply.

... It hurt to hear how kind he was being to people lately. But he just reassured himself that it was only so he could eat the stupid bird. He frowned at Penelope as she seemed rather nervous about explaining how she had switched into the class. Hm. Did she have some sort of ulterior motive to switching in? That would explain why she was acting so weird about it.

He frowned when she changed the subject, but at least it was better than the previous topic. "I have always thought mythology was more the stories behind 'mythical' creatures than the creatures themselves. Though this teacher may have a different approach. ... Or none at all, since they still haven't arrived," He sighed and watched as yet another person came into the room, but instead of joining the group, went to go sit by himself.

"May as well come over here and socialize before the teacher arrives and attacks us with a hoard of evil robo-- Too late," He was just about to invite him over when the teacher arrived. Well, it didn't look like he was getting the lazy day he had hoped for.

[Edited because... ninja.]

Another student came in. He had white hair and pointy ears. He went a isolated himself in the back corner of the room, Susan looked at him momentarily, then turned back to the group.

Whilst in the middle of talking, the teacher entered. She was unfamiliar, Susan turned to look at her, she started to speak. Susan went up to the desk and wrote her name down in neat, fancy writing, then returned to her seat and waited.

Speak softly and carry a big stick...

Jason looked up from his griffin when he heard someone talking. He stood up and walked to the front to sign in and then walked back to his seat. The half finished picture of the griffin was calling him to finish it. Jason sat down again and dutifully picked up where he left off: shading the beak.

"Thank You!"
she says to the students who came and signed their names.
"So, shall we start our today's class then?" she says as she rubs her hands together, gets a board marker and starts to write the topic on the board.
"Typhon." she says as she clearly writes it on the board.
"Let me tell you who and what he is," she says and then starts to write her notes on the board.
"He is the final son of Gaia. He was fathered by Tartarus and he is believed to be the most deadly God in the Greek Mythology. His upper half is that of a human and his bottom...gigantic viper coils that can reach the top of his head when stretched out. His hands reach east and west, and have a hundred dragon heads on each. Typhon's body is covered in wings. He is trapped under Mount Eta, by Zeus." she speaks as she writes on the board. When she is done writing her notes on the board, she turns around,"Susan, tell me what Typhon looks like?" she asks Susan, just to see if she had gotten anything.

"Per- ahem, ah, Percy?" Penelope squeaked, her voice shooting up an octave. "Er... no he's... sick. I think. Not sure. Haven't seen him in a while. Oh look! the teacher's here! " Thank GOD. She stood and quickly did as she was told, heading to the Professor's desk and shakily signing her name. "Ah... can... can I talk to you after class?" She asked the teacher hesitantly. "It's about... attendance stuff."

She quickly took her seat, flipping open her notebook and copying down the Professor's notes. Seriously, where did people come up with this stuff? A... Naga with dragon head arms, covered in wings? Seemed like he would live an incredibly uncomfortable life that way, what with all of the wings getting in the way.

As Penelope replied to Susan's question about Percy, Susan nodded and looked up at the teacher.

Typhon. How interesting, Susan rested her head in her hand as the teacher explained about him. After she explained him, she asked Susan to summarise his appearance. Susan opened her mouth to answer "Well, His upper half is like a human and his bottom, errr, like viper coils that can reach the top of his head when stretched out. His hands reach east and west, and have dragon heads on each. Typhon's body is covered in wings too" Susan said and felt satisfied with her answer.

"Acta est fabula, plaudite!"

Markus got up from his seat with a long sigh and scribbled his signature down on the attendance sheet. How lazy could this teacher be? Was it that difficult to take attendance on her own that he had to make her students do it for her? He sat back down at his seat after taking a little too long to write his... over-extravagant signature.

And then the teacher wasted no time getting to the lesson. With a frown, he jotted notes down, quickly bored by the lesson. Greek mythology? Really? There were plenty other mythologies out there, but she just had to pick the most common for them to study. He narrowed his eyes at her, fairly sure that Tartarus was a location and not a titan, but he wasn't going to argue. It had been a while since he studied mythology anyway.

He hissed slightly when she decided it would be appropriate to give the cat-eared student a pop quiz like that. Really? Did she really think they were that stupid that they would forget something she wrote down and said two seconds earlier? Now he was just wishing a robot would throw him out. "In short, he was pretty damn ugly..." He grumbled under his breath after the cat girl repeated the teacher's description.

When the student asked her if she could talk to her after the class and that it was related to attendance stuff, Erin replies, "I will be kind and will help you after class, Penelope." She turns around to listen to Susan's answer and then says stiffly, "Not bad." She stands up and says loudly to the whole class,"Students, copy all the classwork onto your notebooks and then you shall be dismissed."

Phew. The teacher approved of Susan's answer. Susan smiled and scribbled down what the teacher had written on the board. Yes. Class was over, sure Susan loved mythology, but she wanted to hang out with her friends too. Penelope was staying after class. "Bye Penelope.. See you later" she said to her and put on her bag after putting away her things, then she went out of the classroom.
