Yin glanced behind him as the door opened, suddenly hyper-aware that he had been caught prodding around his friend's room. He was about to apologize when the zomboil said that it was fine, and he moved back, out of the way of the closet. 'Of course, go right ahead."
He decided to move over to the bed to sit down, perfectly at ease with both of their partial states of undress having grown up with far too many boils. But in doing so he found himself lightly sniffing the air. "You smell nice," he said, trying to be complimentary. Whether it was the lack of stench that normally accompanied the zomboil that at least somewhat effected Yin's sense of smell, or the type of shampoo the zomboil had used was irrelevant. It was a nice change and Yin was more than willing to point it out.
"Oh, I did not give you a chance to tell me where to put my dirty clothing and used towel earlier. Is there a specific place I should leave them?"

Alex slid the door open once Yin had moved back, reaching out to grab his things out of the closet, then moving back to slide the door closed again. He tossed his shirt and pants on the bed, next to where Yin was now sitting, and shuffled over to the other half of the closet, sliding the door wide and sweeping his gaze over the rows upon rows of ties. The biggest problem with having so many, was just not knowing which one too choose.
Eventually he reached inside and pulled out a tie that was mostly black with one thick diagonal red slash through the middle. Yin's voice rang out across the room, telling Alex that he smelt nice, and he stiffened a little, gripping the tie a little tighter in one hand. Nobody had ever said that to him before, because he just never cared to bother with trying to be clean or hygienic in anyway. He only washed when his mother made him do it, or if he absolutely had to. He'd rather ruin his clothes and throw them away to buy new ones then ever take the time to actually wash them himself. He just didn't care.
But when Yin gave him that simple compliment, those three small words that Alex was sure he'd never heard anybody say...that actually made him feel like he did actually care, or at least, should actually care, and he felt a faint pleasure at the compliment. "Thanks..." he said quietly, as he left the closet open in case Yin wanted to continue to look through the tie collection, and shuffled over to the bed to grab his things.
"I'm uh..just gonna go next door to get dressed. I'll be right back to show you where the laundry goes." He still kept his eyes averted from Yin as he spoke.
Come to think of it now, Alex hadn't remembered to take his eye phone out of his pants pocket before tossing them in the laundry. He'd have to remember to go and take it out when he put Yin's clothes in. He thought about this as he slowly shuffled out the door and made his way to the room next door to get dressed.

Yin almost told the zomboil to just change right there, that it would not bother him in the least, when he remembered the school bathrooms. They were divided into stalls, with walls and curtains, and apparently most students were not accustomed to just changing and getting ready in the open. It might be uncomfortable for them. So he kept his mouth shut except for a simple "okay," settling back to soak in the heat.
Alexander was scarcely out of the room by the time he got tired of that nonsense. He sat up, looking for something to do. Ah yes, his leg wrappings. He rolled up the leg of his pants and quickly went to work, wrapping first one leg and then the next as he waited for the zomboil to reappear. When he finally did Yin smiled at him before standing and picking up his stack of dirty clothing. Things were going marvelously well so far in his opinion. No one had died, no one had been seriously injured, and he had not found himself quaking in a small ball in some corner of Alexander's room. He might actually survive this trip.
"If it is easy to find you do not have to walk me to where I put the laundry," he said quietly, knowing that the zomboil had probably been pushing himself today, first skateboarding to the train station, then walking to the house, walking up the stairs twice, and walking out to the forested area and back twice.

Alex got dressed as quick as he could manage, though he really just felt like lying down and watching skellyvision or reading a good book. He wasn't exactly tired, but just in need of some relaxation. Never mind the fact that he spent two hours in the forest sitting beneath a tree, day dreaming already.
He needed more time off of his feet then that.
As he re-entered the room, he was reaching up to run fingers through his hair repeatedly, touseling it up so that it no longer was just lying flat on his head, driving him crazy with the way the wet strands hung in his face. The blast of heat was less noticeable now that he was starting to get used to it. He was carrying the towel he had used in his other hand and making his way back to the closet, noticing that Yin was still shirtless. Did the other boil not have any other clothes to wear?
His mom had told him to give her all of his clothes for washing, so he had to slide the closet open once again and removed his other two shirts and pants. He could see that Yin had other shirts in the closet, so a lack of clothing wasn't the case.
Damned if he was going to ask Yin to put a shirt on, though.
He turned towards Yin when he spoke, still a bit disgruntled from the shower and not in the best of mood, but quickly brightening for his friend and his offer to take all of the laundry. "It's just inside the door of my parents room, if you don't mind. But I left my eye phone in my pants pocket that I threw in there. If you could grab it out for me, that would be great!" He smiled, then pushed all of the clothes + towel into Yin's arms and making his way over to flop on the bed, grabbing for the remote control on the stand next to him with full intentions of watching some s.v.
He could admire Yin's shirtless back as he left the room.

Yin nodded with a smile, always glad to be useful, even if he was a bit nervous about going to the zomboil's parents' room. The chill of the hallway was enough to make him hurry up however, and he crossed quickly to the room. Once there he began looking around for a place to put the dirty clothing. After a moment he saw it and he shifted the laundry to one am so he could snag the pants before putting the rest in the hamper. Could he have stood the pants up on their own to fish out the eyephone? Possibly, but he did not try it, reaching in to pull the phone out before quickly returning to Alexander's room.
When he neared the door he could hear noises inside. Perhaps someone had joined Alexander? But no, there were other noises than talking. Confused he entered cautiously, not seeing anyone else. As he shut the door to keep the delicious heat in he searched for the source of the noise. A box. With pictures that moved. This must be "skeevee" or "video games"...was that not what Ulmuka had said? He had said nothing about the noise.
Eyeing the box somewhat mistrustfully Yin crossed over to hand Alexander his phone. The zomboil was rather sprawled out across the bed so he sat on the floor after his task was completed, leaning his back against the bed. "I think Ulmuka told me about this during our spar," he commented, trying to speak over the noise, "but what is this exactly?"

Alex was flicking through the channels on the skeevee when Yin returned. He glanced up at the door, finally for once staring straight into Yin's bare chest, and seeing for the first time the faint bruising and red skin from where his fingers had dug in. He knew that he had done it, and he always felt awful about it anytime it came to mind, but now actually seeing it, and after it had been mostly healed? His heart plummeted and his chest felt icy cold, despite the uncomfortable heat in the bedroom. Now that he had seen the damage, he couldn't stop looking, though he broke his gaze away from it when Yin handed him the phone. He mumbled a hasty "Thanks." before shoving it into his pocket.
He then watched Yin sit on the floor, and felt even more bad. This was Yin's bed, after all, and Alex had basically just abducted it for his own. He scooted over to one side, leaving plenty of room for Yin to move to the bed if he wished, and replied, "Ulmuka? Don't think I know who he is. You spar a lot don't you? Anyways, this is skellyvision, or a skeevee, whatever you prefer." He continued to flick through the channels, looking for something worth watching. Paranormal Activity? That was a comedy, right? He left in on that for now, rolling on his side so that he was looking towards Yin. "You don't have to sit on the floor, there's room up here."

"Ulmuka is a strix, some sort of avian monster that lives upstairs in the monster dormitory. He is a rather nice boil, and seems to know what he is doing in a fight." He watched as the picture changed rapidly, almost giving him a headache, before it finally settled on one. He stared at it, curious, until Alexander spoke and he twisted his head around to look at him.
The floor was not precisely comfortable or uncomfortable, but the bed was likely more so, and Alexander had moved over for him. "Thank you," he said simply, standing and stretching until his shoulders popped before he sat on the bed in front of Alexander's legs.
He watched the show for some time, trying to figure out the point of it. Why would someone watch this when they could be training? After awhile the novelty wore off and it was simply too boring for him to sit there. He got up and situated himself on the floor and began doing sit-ups and then push-ups. Might as well do something useful with his time.

A strix? Interesting. He'd have to try and meet the boil sometime. Alex was faintly aware that most of his friends at the academy at this point were female with the exception Yin and Mort. He really needed to start getting out, maybe join a club or two and make some more friends. He'd look into it when he got back to the school.
It hadn't quite been what Alex had in mind, when the weremantis stood up then settled himself down in front of Alex's legs, effectively blocking the view of the skeevee. He had thought Yin might sit beside him, but whatever, he wasn't going to say anything to the other boil about it, so he just shifted back to the other side of the bed, sitting up and leaning back against the headboard. The movie wasn't terrible, but it was done with hand held camera's and made him a little dizzy to watch. It wasn't long before Yin was shifting in his seat, fidgeting like he was uncomfortable, and Alex just couldn't stop watching him instead of what was on the skeevee, which could beg the question, why were they even bothering to try?
Well, at least from behind Yin couldn't catch Alex staring at him.
It wasn't long after Yin started fidgeting around though that he was off of the bed, moving himself to the floor again. Alex sat up quizzically, wondering what his friend was doing, and peering over the edge of the bed to watch him.
Oh. Exercise.
Alex wrinkled up his nose distastefully, though it was quite hard not to admire Yin's muscled body.
Stop that. He told himself, flipping back over and grabbing the remote control to start flipping through the channels again. He couldn't really find anything he was interested in watching, however, so he finally just left it on a music channel, and sat up to watch Yin some more, as it was more entertaining then anything that was on skeevee at the moment. His head cocked curiously to the side as he watched him, his gaze running along Yin's body, a sight that made his stomach clench tight even if he tried to ignore it. "Do you do this everyday?" He asked, not really knowing what else to say.
It was a good thing the zomboil wasn't attempting to do homework right now. It would just never get done with all of the distraction.

When the skeevee began changing without warning again he glanced up from his exercise, noting that Alexander seemed to be holding a small rectangular device. Odd. The change simply meant that he should change his workout, she he tucked one hand behind his back and began doing his push-ups with one hand. He switched arms as Alexander asked his question. "Not this exactly, but I do work out daily."
This was not a workout so much as burning off a bit of excess energy. He sat up, cross-legged on the floor facing the zomboil and glancing around the room before looking up at him. "Would you like to see some of my usual exercises? It is called Tai Chi, and you may have seen it before, but it is an interesting form of exercise. I could also try to teach you if you desire?" He very much doubted it with how much the zomboil seemed inclined to get up and move about, but he still felt that he should offer.

Alex nodded thoughtfully, his face not even showing the faintest signs of distaste at Yin offering to teach him some Tai Chi. He'd really spent much more time moving around today already then he was generally accustomed too, and he thought it might be nice to just relax for a bit before dinner time. So instead of taking Yin up on the offer, as he actually did feel somewhat inclined to do, he just shook his head, his mass of hair, which was drying out to a large, poofy mass that was in dire need of a brushing, flopping around and spilling into his eyes annoyingly. He pushed it back with a faint tinge of aggravation, then answered Yin.
"That's ok, I'll be more then happy to just watch for now. I don't actually know what Tai Chi is, to be honest, but if it's anything like I imagine then it's probably really not something I would be good at." He shrugged, though he was smiling to show that it didn't really bother him that he was no good at things that required balance or physical skill.
He couldn't help it, now that he'd seen the marks left behind from his attack on Yin's chest, his eyes kept roaming down to them, and his grin faded. "I'm sorry I did that to you." He said quietly, pointing. "It doesn't hurt or anything, does it?" he swallowed past a lump that was forming in his throat, beating himself up mentally once again for what he had done.

Yin was not truly surprised at the zomboil's reaction, but rather began stretching to limber up a bit more. He was almost ready to begin when he noticed that Alexander seemed fixated...on his chest. He glanced down, slightly confused, when the zomboil spoke up, eyes quickly darting back up when he realized what the zomboil was talking about. It appeared as though no matter how many times he told his friend that he was at fault, that he did not blame Alexander, or that he was fine it was not getting through to him, and he did not want to sit back and watch his friend agonizing over this any longer. Yes, he was still healing, but he was certainly okay.
It was time to end this nonsense. It was just two small steps to the bed, and Alexander was already sitting up. It was easy for the mantodae to straddle him in one smooth movement, resting on his knees rather than actually sitting on the zomboil, and then to force him down onto the bed with two hands firmly pressed to his shoulders, a rather determined and possibly annoyed look in his eye. He quickly shifted his hands down to his chest, clawed fingers resting there in a rough approximation of where the marks were on his own chest. "I believe your hands were just about here Alexander. Shall I show you what happened next? Will you cease apologizing if I do it to you as well?"

Alexander didn't know what the jack was happening. One second, he was sitting on the edge of the bed feeling miserable about what he'd done to his best friend. The next? That best friend, which subsequently he had also realized he actually had feelings for, was straddling him.
This was either the best moment of Alex's unlife or the worst. He didn't really have time to think about which it was before Yin was forcing him down on the bed, pinning him down on the shoulders.
Seriously, what was going on???
He stared up at his friend, completely at a loss for anything to say. This was exciting and somewhat frightening all at the same time. He couldn't even fathom at the moment what was going on because his brain was going into overload for the second time of that day.
Yin's hands were now moving to Alexs chest, and he would have tried to move, but he was still far too stunned at what was even happening to be able to. But now Yin was speaking, and his words, as well as the look in his eyes, explained everything. Alex's throat felt too tight to even talk right now, but he managed to raise his eyes to Yin's and stare straight into them before he said, "Do it."

Yin relaxed slightly but did not move except to tap his forefingers on the zomboil's chest. "That you are willing to allow me is enough for me Alexander. Will you accept that?" By this point he was all but pleading with the zomboil, eyes begging him to agree. It was a ridiculous attempt, but he hoped that if the boil would just acknowledge that he had agreed to the act that there was no point in going through with. It was the thought that counted. He did not desire to actually hurt his friend.
Almost as an afterthought, and in a desperate attempt to keep the mood from spiraling downward he added, "and I do not wish to face your mother if she were to see what I would do to you."

Alex just continued to stare up at Yin, not flinching, not looking away. The taps against his chest made him cringe inwardly, as he really didn't actually want this to happen, but he still felt like he deserved it, and so he would allow it to happen without any argument.
But then the expression in Yin's eyes changed. He didn't want to do it, and Alex couldn't understand why. The look Yin was giving him was basically pleading for Alex to just relent and accept that Yin forgave him.
"Fine." He mumbled, turning his head to the side so that he would no longer have to look at Yin. At his face, at his body. None of it. He didn't even attempt to breathe, since he didn't have to, but if he had his breath would have been shaky and uneven. This wasn't fair. Why did he have to feel this way about somebody who didn't feel anything back? Why his best friend, who he didn't want to ever lose and couldn't just walk away from?
A knock on the door made his body stiffen beneath Yin's, his mothers voice calling out from the other side. "Dinner is almost ready, if you boils are finished whatever it is you are doing and want to come down and set the table, it would be appreciated."

Yin's head snapped toward the door and he stood up. Should he call out to Alexander's mother that he would be down as soon as he finished getting dressed? Yelling would be rude, so he decided against it. He smiled Alexander, perfectly content and as usual perfectly unaware that what he had just done could have been almost suggestive. "I am glad that we can lay this to rest," he said cheerfully before turning to the closet. "I should finish getting dressed, but if you need to head downstairs without me I shall be right behind you."
He fished around for his spare set of bandages, beginning the task of wrapping his chest that he could have done in his sleep. He secured the end of the bandage by tucking it in before pulling on his shirt, inwardly scowling ever so slightly at the bloodstains that still remained from his broken nose. He slipped it on before reaching for yet another wrap to go around his waist. Sadly the brown one that he had put in the wash was his last actual belt, and he was forced to use the white ones, glad that he had extras of those at least. As he was not at school he left his skull pin in the closet before exiting the room, pulling the door shut behind him and heading downstairs.
