Oralee gritted her teeth in aggravation when the bandits only looked hesitant once Alexandre pulled his weapons out. Why are men taken so much more seriously? If I were Nye right now, they'd have already ran away. Her face impassive, Oralee lifted an eyebrow. "Well, gentlemen? Or shall we do this the hard way?" The bandits glanced between the two of them, as if to weigh their chances. With a patronizing sigh, Oralee drew her arrow tighter. The only thing these men will listen to is blood. "I hope you aren't particularly attached to your ear." With no time for them to react, Oralee let loose her arrow, and I flew directly into- and though- the middle bandit ear. Then she tilted her head and gave a malicious smile, one intended to intimate. "Now, do I need to scar all three of you?" She drew another arrow. "You b***h!" Oralee simply tilted her head. Cursing, they threw her skirts at her, and took off in a run. Just like that, Oralee deflated. She winced and dropped to one of her knees. She held her skirts close, her weapon braced on the ground. "Stand up. You have to get back. Stand UP. For not the first time, but the first time in a while, Oralees reserve of strength failed.

Faelynn blinked, taking in her brother's words. "So, in a sense I have a strong connection to nature?" She was still sniffling, her breathing not quite yet normal. She thought back to her teenage years, all of the gardening around the clinic and client's home, the times she strolled through the wooded area just because she felt at peace. "I can understand that I suppose." She didn't have the heart to tell Slaine she had known one of those bandits because of her dancing.

Godelieve's eyes stayed on Lorne until the tea was offered to her. "Oh. Thank you once more." Godelieve said politely. If it had been someone else - someone not helping Lorne - she would have been sarcastic and cynical. She picked the cup up slowly, and brought it to her lips. She took a sip hesitantly at first, but once she swallowed her first sip, she was drinking it down casually. She smiled back to Sophie and sighed softly. "My name's Godelieve. Can I have your name so I don't have to refer to you as 'The snake witch'?" Godelieve set the empty cup down and kept her gaze to Sophie for the moment, and she couldn't help but to feel a twang of jealousy. Sophie had looks, which made Godelieve a bit self-conscious.
"I also could tell that you use a bit of elemental magic by that water trick. I had no idea that you could use the water in such a way." Godelieve still had a soft tone, but the tea had helped her calm down.

Alexandre kept stone faced as Oralee attacked and the men ran away. When Oralee fell he was at her side in an instant his crossbow back on his belt. "You pushed yourself too hard." He said softly, "Please down not hold this against me. He said taking her bow and setting it over his shoulder and then picking Oralee up, bridal style, to carry her, the skirts still in her arms. "You can argue if you want. But your injuries need time to heal. And therefore I cam taking you back to the clinic. That is final." He said, his voice clearly stating that he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Lornes head was spinning. He felt the bards removed and then several moments later what felt like a bite. As the fog slowly began to clear from his mind and his vision refocused. He tried to watch what was happening. So the snake watch had removed the barbs and healed him. She was impressive. But, to heal with no questions asked? That was odd. Lorne could also hope that she didn't want too much in payment.

Slaine gave a nod, hugging his sister. There was a moment when he wished she was a little girl again, clinging to his leg. It all seemed easier then. Running his hand over her bright blond hair- their fathers shade- Slaine allowed himself one more moment. Then he pulled away with a rueful smile. "We should check on the donation lady. If she woke up, she might be able to tell us something about elfin magic, too." Slaine stepped out of the backroom- only to see the bed empty. "s**t!" Slaine rushed into the back room, barely pausing to look at Faelynn. "She's escaped. I have to go find her. Watch the clinic, keep your dagger on hand." He checked the sword at his waist, before running out the door. Then he realized he didn't have the slightest idea where she might have gone- he knew where Faelynn went, so he knew where the donation lady had been found. That was a good place to start. Breaking off in a run, Slaine hoped she would be alright.

Oralee opened her mouth to argue, but all that came out was aslight gasp for breath. Then, abruptly, she was up in his arms. Against her will, a surprised squeak left her throat as she clutched the skirts. Then the pain from her ribs spiraled outwards, and she just squeezed her eyes shut. "Alright." She said when she had her breath back, able to admit, despite her pride, that she needed help. "... They're custom skirts, which detach in seconds for fighting." She said in a soft, sheepish voice- and it was as close to an explanation as he was gonna get about why she went after them.

"So, that is why you wanted so badly to find them. I thought it odd that you would search so much for something so simple. But custom clothing can be expensive." he said carrying her with no problem. It was only moment when suddenly a young man rushed into Alexandres view. The boy was in a hurry. Alexandre believed that he worked at the clinic, but he wasn't sure. "You." he said calling out, "What is your hurry?" He said keeping thoughts of convenient illusion magic ready in his mind if the boy posed a threat.

Oralee gave a little nod. "I wasn't exactly thinking right when I left either." It was a little discomfiting, being carried so easily. Oralee had settled into a quiet mood, when she heard him call out. Curious-and feeling strongly naked without a weapon- Oralee glanced in the direction that Alexandre was yelling. She blinked when she saw the doctor from the clinic running. Is someone hurt? Oh. Yeah. Me.

Slaine was panting for breath when he saw the two figures- and recognized the girl being carried a split instant before he was addressed. Stopping, he drew his sword. "She is my hurry. If you mean her no harm, I would appreciate your assistance taking her back to my clinic. If not, kindly set her down gently before fighting me." Slaine glanced at the donation lady for any sign of distress. She just glanced back at him. What were those skirts she was holding? They matched the clothes he had had to cut off of her. He inwardly sighed at the way of women. "I'm Dr. Cael of the Blissany clinic. Well, one of them." He added, thinking of his sister.

Alexandre narrowed his eyes when Slaine drew his sword. "Sheath your sword. I will answer steel with steel. But, contrary to what you thought, I was bringing this woman back to the clinic. I believe she aggravated what ever injuries she already had." he said continuing to walk. "Please, return to the clinic and ready something for me to set Oralee down." he smiled to the woman in his arms, "I don't think she particularly likes being held by me."

Slaine inwardly breathed a little sigh of relief, and returned his blade to its sheath. "I drew my sword in case you were hostile, not because I thought you were." Slaine kept a pace with them, and lightly touched Oralee's arm, not noticing the glare she shot him. Mentally lost checking her wounds, Slaine then nodded and pulled away his hand. "You're right. The cracked and broken ribs are a little worse, and her feet are cut and beginning to blister." Slaine gave him a startled look when Alexandre saidher name was Oralee.

Doctor or not, Oralee was miffed when Slaine touched her. She glared at him, too tired to school her features. When she heard Alexandre slip up and say her name to Dr. Cael, Oralee stiffened ans glared at him, nearly elbowing his chest to make her point, but residing against it. "Don't gibe out smothers name." She said bluntly, but not unkindly. Then, at his statement of being held, Oralee glanced away, to watch where they were goo g. "This isn't being held, it's being carried." She muttered

Alexandre nodded but raised an eyebrow when Slaine was shocked and Oralee told him not to say the name. "Mong your shünaben.." he started before catching himself, "Begging your pardon, but what is shocking about the name? I am from Auster-Stri and I do not know much of the names of this land." He said confused, "And In order to carry you, I must hold you. Either way, you seem reluctant to allow it."

Sophia Pendragon

Sophie took small sips from her own cup as the girl thanked her. "You're welcome. I'm glad I was able to help." She replied with a kind smile as she stood up and placed her cup on her table. Moving back over to the other side she picked up the bowl she had been working on and moved it in front of her. Her hands went back to adding small bits of ingredients to the bowl as Godelieve spoke again. When he nickname was mentioned she let out a small chuckle. "That name has continued to spread I don't bother to stop it anymore. Though my actual name is Sophie." She explained before turning to a cabinet and producing a few tiny glass bottles. Placing them on the table she waved her hand over the bowl causing the liquid to float up and into the bottles. Once she had finished she began to cork the bottles to ensure the potions preservation. "Ah yes my water element. I have been practicing with it since I was a child. It is infinitely helpful with my line of work." She explained looking over to Lorne. She watched the steady rise and fall of his chest making sure that his body was accepting the antidote.

Oralee narrowed her eyes a bit at the odd words he first spoke, aggravated with herself for being unable to place them. When he elaborated, Oralee tilted her head in confusion. His belief that it was the name itself that garnered such a reaction would have been amusing, were it not so frustrating. "It's not the same," Oralee explained. "It's the fact that you know it. I keep myself shrouded in secrecy." Oralee just sighed at his last statement- wincing when the breath resulted in pain from her ribs.

Slaine gave a slight nod. 'I recognized the cloak the dona- Oralee was wearing when she first came into the clinic when my sister brought her in. It was all I had seen of her until that point." Slaine pieced it together. The secrecy, the illusionism, the skill to take out three bandits in aa many minutes... Oralee was most likely an assassin, and if that were the case, the less he and Faelynn knew about her, the better.

((Again, sorry for being gone. Life seemed to get in the way.))

Faelynn nodded as Slaine left and grabbed her dagger from the counter near the sink and refrigerator and put it onto her belt. How could she leave and not tell anyone? How could we not hear her leaving? Faelynn went to the front of the clinic waiting. She had ran the clinic by herself many times before and for some odd reason this one she felt a bit scared. She walked into the back and checked on the progress of some ointments when she heard the clinic door open.
She was hoping that Slaine was back, but it was a woman and her child. "Welcome to Blissany Clinic, I'm Dr. Cael. My brother isn't here at the moment but, I can help you with what you need." The mother set her son down on the bed and she explained what had gone down. Faelynn smiled and turned to the boy. "So, you hurt your arm climbing a tree? Let me see here." Faelynn touched his arm in various spots, taking the time to notice when he winced. Boys were stubborn, and she knew he wasn't just going to tell her he was hurt. After a bit, she turned to the mother. "He sprained his wrist and his nerve looks oversensitive. I'll give him a wrap and a sling, which he can take off in two weeks."
She wrapped the boy's arm and took the small payment from the mother and let them leave. Faelynn sighed and waited for Slaine's return.

Godelieve smiled softly. "Sophie, such a beautiful name." She watched Sophie with interest and smiled when she spoke of her water element. "I can't do much with water, as my mentor didn't know much as well. I seem to be better at earth. Any tips you could tell me about it?" She looked back to Lorne and smiled even softer, seeing as he was breathing just fine.
Godelieve's bangs fell into her eyes again and she frowned, blowing them away from her eyes, only for them to fall back. "Do you know how to cut hair?" She chuckled, saying it as a joke. She liked her hair, but it had gotten too long and a trim wouldn't hurt her.

Lorne groaned slightly and her turned to look at Sohpie, "Thank you...." He said softly before turning to Godelieve, "And thank you for getting me here. If I was alone, I would have died in that warehouse." He forced himself to sit up, goraing in pain, "I owe my life to both of you."

Alexandre raised an eyebrow. "I will not ask questions. Its probably best that Dr. Cael and myself know as little as possible." he said. As they neared the clinic he looked to Slaine, "Do get something for me to lay Oralee down upon." He smiled down at her, "Though, I can't say I disagree with carrying a lovely lady."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 5:24 am

Slaine gave a nod when Alexandre articulated his own thoughts, glancing ahead of him to the clinic. His mind wandered for a split moment, into wondering why Oralee held such secrecy around her. When bid to find her something to lay down on, Slaine quickened his pace, entering the clinic and walking to the part of the room where Oralee's bed was. He tidied and turned back the sheets and blanket, before walking into the backroom, and moving all her things next to the bed.

Oralee nodded to his statement, even as it inexplicably caused a tide of loneliness to wash over her. An assassins life was a lonely one without another assassin around. When Alexandre smiled down at her and complimented her, the tops of her pale cheeks were tinged pink. 'Thank you." She glanced away, trying to distance herself from him- before she got him hurt. As she would if she got too friendly.

Faelynn heard the door open and walked to the front to see Slaine tidying the bed then followed him around. "You're back." She smiled softly as the worry left her body. "Is the donation lady back too?" She looked around then glanced back to Slaine. She didn't want to bother him too much with her questioning and just smiled softly. "I uh, helped a patient that came in. I figured you needed to know that, and I already wrote down the information in the notebook where we keep records."

Godelieve didn't wait for an answer from Sophie as soon as she heard Lorn's voice. She got up and walked over to him smiling kindly and sat by him. "Hey now, don't overdo yourself." She sighed softly and placed her hand over his. "Rest for a little, alright?"
Godelieve's eyes went back to Sophie in awe. She really can cure poisons... Best to keep her an ally. She smiled and took in a deep breath, relaxing herself a bit.
