”Hey, I know a joke! A squirrel walks up to a tree and says,
Morgan looked like a deer caught in headlights. Well, it was more like a puppy who knew he did something wrong and was just waiting for a scolding, but it was still the same. "Eheheh? Sorry about that, XochiXicho. That was my bad. I didn't mean to wake you up." Again, oops. Though, it kind of stunk when he was the one singled out when Veith had did the same thing. Well, at least he didn't drag him down with him.
"Oh, here." He stated at the sound of his name before he directed his attention to the other blonde in the room, all this talk about hair colors reminded him how he needed to dye his soon. feeling rather self conscious about his height, but he immediately brushed it off as best as he could. "Tall enough. What about you?" He directed the question right on back.

“Teddy” Xochiquetzal hummed as he admitted to it, glancing back at Veith thoughtfully before she went back to her seat. Of course, it was really the first chair that had wakened her – Xochiquetzal had only just closed her eyes when the rest of the students come in, so she wasn't in such a deep sleep that it would take more than that to do it. Having enough sense to know the direction of the sound and notice the askew chair Veith stood by, it wasn't hard to deduce who did it. Still. If she could make Morgan feel guilty.. She could ask for a ride to her next class with no hassle. “...Here..” She muttered, not caring very much if the teacher had heard her or not. He could see just as well as anyone else, couldn't he? She was sure Veith would inform him she was here if the teacher didn't notice.

Veith Nezariel Veith frowned at Morgan and the new blonde girl. Her name was Freayah right? That's what the teacher called her anyways. "How about we not talk about height? Really, it doesn't matter." Veith huffed as he crossed his arms.
He wondered why people were so obsessed with it? Sure, Morgan looked like a giant. No need to point it out, he already knows. Just like how people tend to point out Veith's height. He already knew how short he was, but at least that put him at the perfect height to kick people efficiently since aiming at the shin wasn't all that hard.

Severin Novaire "Literature is complex and one really has to think to understand it."________________________Really... these kids really talked about the most trivial things. "Alright, matters on height aside, we'll be starting class." Severin said after he marked down everyone that were here.
"Well... now that we have two new students, why don't the two of you introduce yourselves to the class and explain your magical ability. I want to see where everyone is before I proceed with the lesson." Severin answered.
If he recalled correctly from last class, Veith had a very unstable power. Celeste's power was more controlled, but it wasn't formed very well. It was kind of sad how both of them wasn't getting the basics of controlling their own powers. It was supposed to be an easy assignment after all. ________________________ "The beauty of it is that literature never hits me if I misunderstand. "

“Teddy” Height? Oh, were they discussing that again? Xochiquetzal frowned as the topic was brought up and gave a nod at Veith's statement, agreeing wholeheartedly. She hadn't ever been ashamed of her height before, but no one had pointed it out to her before the carnival. She would rather that unpleasant time remain where it was – in the past. Thankfully, the teacher had taken over and Xochiquetzal's eyes were put onto him. Introductions.. Ah, how dull. She let out a bored sigh under her breath and sunk her head back onto the desk again. She wasn't going to sleep – oh, no, she liked this class too much and she would rather enjoy every moment of it – but, she did feel she should make it apparent to everyone how much she disapproved. She knew Morgan's name and the blonde girl.. well, she didn't care. She had thought that the introductions from her first day were simply due to it being her, not that it was mandatory for every newcomer. What a disappointment to start with today.

”Hey, I know a joke! A squirrel walks up to a tree and says,
Morgan was almost a whole foot taller than her. Ouch. He looked over at Veith and XochiXicho, noticing how they seemed rather.. offended about all this talk about height. They didn't need to be that way. Short people were amazing. Sure, they couldn't reach for stuff all too easily, but they could always use a ladder or something. For him, if he wanted to go through doors depending on what kind, he'd have to watch out less he slam his face or something. "My bad. We were both just messing around."
"I'm Morgan, and I have no magical ability whatsoever." Yeap. That was it for his introduction. He was a complete beginner in this area.

Severin Novaire "Literature is complex and one really has to think to understand it."________________________In other words, these two probably... didn't know squat about spell casting with all the throwing magic around and everything. Severin would sigh, but he just smiled at them. "Well, I'll be teaching the both of you the basics of how to generate magic power." Severin said to them. "It's a little harder to do if magic just doesn't go with your race, but it's still possible."
He could teach them useless spells that would come in handy in very specific situations so it wouldn't be a complete waste of their time. As for the other two...
He turned to Veith and Celeste. "Alright. I hope you two have been practicing with focusing your energy. Make sure you're focused and you know what you're doing because if you lose control of your magic... uh... that would be very bad and you might kill someone so don't ever lose control of your magic. So you could practice focusing your magic creating the energy balls."
And he hoped they could get it right this time so they could... move on to something more productive? ________________________ "The beauty of it is that literature never hits me if I misunderstand. "

“Teddy” Xochiquetzal only looked up when the teacher addressed her directly – by her middle name. Oh, well, Celeste wasn't such a bad title. Hadn't that been her mother's friend? ...Yes, the fairy-lover. She nodded slowly to herself, though, outwardly, it appeared as if it was to what the teacher was saying. Yet again, Xochiquetzal had missed the assignment entirely and was forced to look at Veith for some guidance. Her attentive stare lessened to one of boredom as she saw it was the 'control' exercises again. She shook her head slightly and rested it on one propped up arm, frowning while she saw the new shape it took this time.
It wasn't a pretty display of lights – but, rather, it was a simple, boring ball. Had they changed their definition of 'ball' again? She would have to ask the teacher every day from now on if this was a regular thing, but, before she could mull over that any more, Veith's orb had flickered out and the boy was left flushed. Was he tired? After only that? He had to be joking. She gave a queer look at the boy before sitting up, cupping her hands together in front of her. She narrowed her eyes and concentrated on channeling the energy together into one form. A second or so had gone by before anything had appeared, but it was hardly much of a ball – more of a square about the size of a thumbtack.
Her brow creased – this was.. far more difficult than allowing her energy to lose control as she had last class. She shut her eyes and tensed, trying to follow Veith's suit, but she only managed to make a larger pyramid, about the size of her hands, before following with an egg-shape – ah, not the right shape, but it was close.. She felt some kind of excitement, but then it went into a cone and.. a torus.. and.. ah. Now it wasn't there at all. She opened her eyes to see it had indeed faded away, only three minutes after she had started. Her subconscious seemed to like very many shapes, but.. not circles. “...I have an aversion to spheres..” She tried to explain before setting her head back down on her desk. Ah, that was tiring.. She wished she could fall asleep, but.. the mythology professor may get her.

Severin Novaire "Literature is complex and one really has to think to understand it."________________________Severin frowned. These two were obviously very... difficult to teach.
"Veith, you're holding back! Try to be more like... like Celeste! She may not have a ball, but she seems to have control... of other shapes?" Severin suggested. "You're not showing your full control if you don't use up your normal amount of energy when you use magic. We won't be able to move on to practicing your own skills if you can't get this small exercise down."
Severin turned to Celeste. "Well... it's fine if it's not a sphere. You could use a square if you want... as long as you demonstrate control." Really, that was all Severin was looking for!
Severin turned to the non magic students. "Hmmm, and for you two, I will teach you how to light your finger on fire. Now the fire won't hurt anyone but it makes a pretty good candle." Severin said. And that... that was it.
"Since you don't have magic in your blood, you need to use an Elf language since that's usually the basic and traditional way most non magic users use magic. Once you start getting the hang of it, you can make energy... shapes soon too." Severin said to the non magic user. He wrote the incantation on the board. It was short and easy to say.
"Just try to channel your energy into the words as you say it and your finger should light up." Severin said. And that's it. That's all that'll happen. ________________________ "The beauty of it is that literature never hits me if I misunderstand. "

Veith Nezariel Ah crap. Stupid English teacher-- erm, Spell casting teacher! Just shut up and let him rest! Veith didn't want to use too much energy because that would make him tired. Obviously keeping control of his powers were making him absolutely tired and if he tried anymore, he will probably collapse. So how shall he escape this kind of humiliation from showing the class that he can't control his magic?
It was only for the time being. Veith intended to practice on it later, but he had been too tired lately. "I was compressing everything in that tiny... golf ball... sized... ball." Veith lied.
Oh how obvious his lie was. Veith crossed his arms. Even Purple was having a better time than him even though she was just making random shapes. "Fine, I'll try harder." Veith huffed. "Just... give me a moment." A moment to catch his breath.
