Kris walked into the room and set the box on the table. He was gentle enough that nothing would be messed up. "Yeah sure. Just do me a favor and talk to him or see him or something." He replied before walking out. He then turned and headed towards his classroom.

For Gemini, the first half of the day went by slowly.She was too distracted to focus on her work. If Conan really was as Kris had said... If she really had hurt him...
Somehow, it got around to being lunch hour. A pit opened up in her belly as she headed toward the lunch room. Lately, she'd just been eating in her next classroom. In the bustling cafeteria, she slowly looked around. She couldn't see Nergui, but right in the usual place, she saw Conan and their friends. Though, she'd been avoiding them as well... Would they be mad at her for everything? Taking a deep breath, she started to wheel over there. She was afraid of how those facing her might react when they saw her, but she also couldn't look away. She would have to accept whatever consequence came from her stupid behavior...

Conan had his back to the doors and thus did not see Gemini roll in. He had been picking at his food, not really hungry, too depressed from not seeing Gem. He did however catch the looks from his friends who were seated across from him as they looked beyond his shoulders. Alex was grinning and Savannah was all but gasping in surprise but yet smiling. Ryan was out sick today and Bethany was sitting next to him and didn't see who was approaching.
Turning around to see what the fuss was about, he instantly spotted Gemini. His mouth all but dropped open as he openly stared at her. "Gem." He whispered as she rolled over to them. His tail faintly wagged as if scared to really wag in case this turned out to be a bad visit.

Her cheeks turned pink as Alex and Savannah noticed her. They didn't seem angry..! Then Conan saw her... Seeing his face nearly brough tears to her eyes as her cheeks deepened to a deep red. Had it really been so long? It suddenly felt like it'd been forever since she'd last talked to him. She ducked her head, naturally, and chewed on her lip as she covered the rest of the distance. Reaching the table, face half hidden by her hair, she looked around the small group. "...Have I made you sad?" She asked softly. Though she did direct the question to everyone there, since she felt bad for having avoided all of them, her gaze was locked on Conan for his response.. Could they possibly forgive her?

Alex and Savannah instantly spoke to Gemini. "Gemini! It's been so long!" Alex called. "Gemini! I've missed you! Where have you been? Did all of my questions scare you off?" Savannah said. Hearing the mermaid's question made them look at each other, then Conan, then back to Gemini. "Well you made some of us sadder than others." Savannah replied. "Could you imagine if Ryan was here. He'd be claiming he was so upset over her disappearing." Alex said.
Conan however was struck speechless at seeing Gemini. He could do nothing but return her gaze. It was only when Bethany spoke that he snapped out of it. "Of course you made us sad Gemini. You left just after meeting us. We all thought we had done something wrong." Bethany said. Conan's gaze snapped to his group of friends who were all smiling at him and making shooing/urging motions to him. "Ehem..... Uh..... Yeah like Bethany said. We all thought we had done something wrong." Conan replied finally.

Since she hadn't been one hundred percent sure of Kris' information, Gemini was surprised by the reactions she was getting. Her eyes flicked quickly over the others before going back to Conan. He was staring....
Her eyes widened when she heard their thoughts, and shook her head hard enough that her bangs hung to the side instead of hiding her. "No! You- You haven't done anything! It's what I did!" She clamped her lips shut a moment, and ducked her head again, voice getting quieter as she spoke while her cheeks burned brighter. "I mean... what I didn't do. ...I thought you would be mad at me. .... About Nergui nearly... and I was right there..."

"What do you what you did?!" Savannah nearly shouted. "Yeah how could we be made at you for what Roxie did." Alex replied. Conan nodded. "Yeah you were there but it's not like you pushed her in. You can't be held accountable for someone else's actions. And you're not psychic so you wouldn't have know it was going to happen. Nergui was lucky that I was passing by. I don't think anyone could have heard what I heard with how loud it was in there." Conan said. He pointed up to his ears at the end and smiled faintly.
"Yeah there's always a bonus to being part wolf. The ability to hear and smell." Alex said with a laugh, "Has he ever told you of the time he found something for someone by sniffing it out?" Conan turned bright red at that and reached over the table as if to smack Alex. "Don't talk about that!"

Flinching away from Savannah's near-shout, which was as good as a shout in Gemini's mind, it took her a moment to realize it wasn't an angry shout. Then the rest came out... They truly weren't mad! ...but she had upset them by avoiding them like that... Abandoning them.. "..I'm sorry." She said softly, though a small smile was starting to lift. "I shouldn't have doubted you. ..Any of you."
Perking up as Alex brought up Conan's abilities, her smile rose a little more. Yes. These were her friends. Seeing Conan's reaction made her giggle, and she wheeled over to his side to give him a firm hug and whispered, "I missed you.." Then she lifted her head to rest her chin on his arm. "Don't be embarrassed about being helpful, Conan! I'm sure the one you helped appreciated it!"

"It's okay. Everyone has doubts and doubts others." Bethany spoke up for once. Then it back to focusing on the food before her. Savannah nodded as well and smiled. "We're glad you're back."
Conan cherished the hug and hugged her back but made sure it didn't feel too clingy or any more than just a normal hug. "Missed you too." He whispered back. Then it was back to picking at his food as he turned red. "It's not the being helpful part but the how he went about it part." Alex chimed, "Nose to the ground sniffing out the lost stuff. Oh man everyone was giving him such odd looks and laughing."

Finally... Things could go back to normal. She was so relieved; she simply wrapped her arms around Conan's neck and hung against his shoulder, completely comfortable and relaxed. Looking at Alex with wide eyes, she was doing her best to not laugh. Conan with his nose to the ground, sniffing out the missing item? ..How adorable! She probably wouldn't have missed it if she hadn't been being stupid... "What was it that was missing?"

Conan couldn't very well relax with Gem hanging on him. In fact he forgot how to speak at all. He gave wide eyes to his friends, all of how laughed/giggled before taking over for him. "What was it now...." Savannah said before continuing, "Oh yeah.... a girl lost a bracelet and a glove. So Conan took the other glove got the scent and sniffed it out."
Alex nodded and explained what had happened. "You see the girl took off a glove and the bracelet came off with it. When she went to take the other off, she supposedly stuck it in a pocket but it fell out and she continued walking. People kicked it around, not paying attention and it got moved even further away." He said.

Listening to the tale, Gem's eyes widened with interest. "That's amazing that he was able to find it then!" She looked up at Conan with a bright smile. "You have such good senses!" She praised, letting her head fall back down. "I'm glad you were able to help the girl find her things. You're always so helpful."
She looked over at the big lunch clock and gasped in surprise. "I'm never going to eat if I don't do it now." She muttered, thinking about why she'd come to the lunchroom so late. Oh, right.... Pulling out her lunch bag, she turned her chair to the table. "Conan? ..Does this mean Nergui isn't mad at me either about.. that?"

"Uh yeah thanks." Conan replied with a faint smile. He really didn't want to hear of him sniffing the floor but if it distracted her from him barely responding.... well then it worked he supposed. He took a few bites of food now that she wasn't hugging on him. He had to glare at his friends for a moment when Gem wasn't looking as they were all making eyes at him and Savannah was going a step further and kinda pointing at Gem with her head. "Oh no she's not made you. She never was."

Oblivious to Conan's discomfort and the teasing of their friends, she slowly pulled her food out. "That's good. I thought for sure..." Shaking her head, she let out a long sigh. "I'll have to find her soon then, so that I may apologize to her as well." She glanced up at the others, and then back down. "I can't believe I thought that avoiding everyone would fix things..."

Conan nodded. "Yeah but she'll just brush off your apology." He replied, "Avoidance never fixes things. It's best to confront things like that head on so no misunderstanding can occur." He ate a bit more of his food before packing it up to be thrown away.
